Thanks for the well thought out response. I was being somewhat glib because there's a great deal of spin that it was Beane who pulled out because the asking price was too high. I believe it's apparent that AB stated he didn't want to be here. Point being, if it wasn't that AB didn't want to be here, we should definitely be back in the hunt.

‘What’s more, ya GOTTA get it done!’

Haven't seen much of Bakay lately. He's a hilarious guy. Loved his role of Priest on King of Queens. Definitely Buffalo through and through. -

Completely disagree. What it showed me was that Beane is WILLING to learn on the job. They would prefer a team full of soup kitchen volunteers, but they're faced with the reality that an infusion of TOP talent is needed. It also demonstrated that they're in win now mode and can't sell the process forever. I have alot more faith in McBeane than I did before the AB situation. -

REALLY? That's what your draft board would look like? I like Isabella as a prospect, but he wouldn't be in my top 5. -

Who's on your list for first WR taken? I'm a Hollywood/Metcalf guy. Not sold on Harry or Butler. I like AJ Brown as well, but below Metcalf and Brown. -
Is Beane The Best GM We Have Had Since Bill Polian?

It's really strange. I don't want cap space. I want talent. -

I don't worry about it, but young athletes certainly do. We just have to start winning and that starts with Allen. -

It was a social media debacle for sure, which is where most young athletes get their info/feedback. Whatever though. He didn't want to be here. Let's move on. I'm all about taking DK Metcalf with #9 assuming he's available which seems 50/50. -
NOTHING? Miami has been bad for awhile now and I'm 100 percent sure we wouldn't have seen what we saw on social media regarding the AB situation. It doesn't bother me. Winning creates stars which creates buzz which leads to FA acquisitions. That's on the FO. For the foreseeable future, our fate is tied to Josh Allen.

The Colts game was a disaster on the ground. I'll give you that. The Pats game was odd in that there was so much misdirection. I feel like McD got outcoached in that one more than anything. I'm more disappointed in the 2018 FA signee who is above reproach than I am in someone like Poyer who's primary responsibility is coverage. The big key in the run game will be Edmunds development, who was also underwhelming as a 20 year old starting MLB. Wouldn't be opposed to shifting him outside and bringing in a steady presence in the middle, but it doesn't appear they'll go that route.

It seems pretty clear. But you are correct; I did not personally hear AB say screw Buffalo. He did say "fake news" regarding the rumors. I glean that he's indicating he isn't going to play for Buffalo. I don't know why he'd go out of his way to say that the deal wasn't technically done. But everyone is entitled to their opinion.

Fair enough. All things being equal, I'd prefer to be middle of the pack in rushing yards allowed and top of the league in passing. The only real issue is the pass rush. I don't think Poyer is all world, but he's a fine coverage safety playing on a team friendly deal. He's not a great tackler. I will grant you that.

Safeties aren't paid to be glorified linebackers anymore. Linebackers are paid to be glorified safeties.

Had an Aunt who was an RN at Roswell. On topic, I tend to think we overstate the tax issue to cover up the fact that some players don't want to come here. I mean, screw em, but it is what it is. NYC doesn't seem to have the kind of trouble we do landing FA's. That's why it's so important to draft well. Early returns with Beane are promising.

Bills have interest in Seattle DE Frank Clark

I feel like based on what I'm reading, this is a pipedream. It's the offseason though, so all we can do is speculate! -
I think it was from today. Just a bunch of circles that seemed to indicate vague happiness about something. Maybe totally unrelated, but it's suspicious. I'm just guessing. I suppose it doesn't really matter at this point. Poyer WON!

Poyer did send out a pretty odd tweet indicating some kind of vague happiness. I think it has legs.

I don't really think anyone is blaming the Bills here. Either they didn't want to overpay or AB nixed the deal(FAR MORE LIKELY). It doesn't really serve us well to deny the likely truth. Easier to move on as a city and an organization if you accept reality and do what you can to change it. -

For sure. Perhaps I misunderstood your initial point. Clark is a proven commodity and is just 25 years old. Fills a major need so we can really focus on offense. There would be a ton of guys that fit our needs and would be very close to BPA at 21 that are not worthy of the 9th pick. -

Considering the Seahawks hold the 21'st pick and Clark is a BEAST at the most important defensive position, I'm in for a 1st round swap. Pass rushers are premium and we've got to add one. Allocate all other resources to offense, but we gotta solidify the D with a top flight young pass rusher. But if we were to acquire Clark, DL isn't a priority anymore. We'd still have a great shot at landing Hock or one of the many receivers behind Metcalf.
