The Jets OC Mike Lafleur is the brother of GB's Matt Lafleur... I am sure GB shared some notes on how they were able to counter Dorsey's schemes and Josh. We just caught them before we had enough time to come up with the right adjustments and their QB had a hot hand that day. It happens, but I still think the Jets have a good defense, but are very beatable if their offense cannot generate points and you don't set them up with turnovers.

Used to Detroit just imploding and playing like crap. Not that they did not have talent at positions, but they never seemed to have a team on the same page with a solid game plan. They have a better HC who has cleaned up a lot of the self-inflicted nonsense, got them on the same page, and they play hard for him. Good for them.

I hope they do. Ever since GBs defense gave us fits there have been a lot of copy cats out there. If the 49ers come up with a great scheme to shut down Hill and Waddle, we can probably adapt that to our game with them. If anyone knows McDaniels' scheme and tendencies it would be the Niners staff. We will see.

I am not sure MN used the clock as well as they could have that series before kicking their FG and giving the ball back. Could not drain a minute and change off the clock? One thing the Bills have done well is capitalizing on what little time is left on the clock in the 1st half and doing a bit better preserving the lead in the 2nd half lately. There was a few series against these same MN Vikings where we had the lead and Dorsey came out in the 3rd passing and we were pitching 3 and outs. Got a lot of criticism for that, and that could have been managed better.... I get staying aggressive, but you have to balance that with being smart and strategically sound defending a lead. The same goes for defense where Frazier's worst moments seem to be when he drifts too far into positioning our defense to play on their heals defending down and long distance or defending a lead. In those instances I think we take away something that is working and substitute something that may not. Its a theory.

Was not a whole lot different from Hamlin's hit other than the receiver did not duck into it. Jefferson turned and the safety clearly was leading with the helmet to his helmet. Does not matter if I agree with the rule, just does not make sense for one to end up as an ejection and the other not so much. If Jefferson wobbled and stayed on the ground does that change the ruling?

Jets defensive line is going to get to Cousins a lot today me thinks. Especially with those longer routes MN seeoms to be trying to scheme up and a backup LT. It feels like watching the Bills, a great go-to receiver, a suspect OL in pass pro, and they don't really lean Cook that much to force changes in the defensive approach. That DL they have pulled together is tough.

In the Era of Josh Allen, how about a little Jim Kelly love

True. Was just thinking Allen with the national spot light and it is a different era with social media. There still space left in those shoes to fill. -

The Kelly years were great and he and that core team helped lift the Bills and Buffalo into the national spot light. He is in the shadow of Allen now, but has to be happy that the team has finally found "the guy" who can represent Buffalo and work to finish the mission. It was a good listen and I did not know those Canton ceremony changes were linked to Jim's induction. I have no problems believing the bar story. -
I think Phillips has gotten better against the run, is a big space eater, and has some surprising quick burst when there is a path to the QB. Agree. Jones is simply playing lights out this year and its not even close with other 1 techs.

Folks didn't like your take, but it does seem like our OCs have to learn the "balanced offense" lesson over and over and over.... When did things click last season? When we started running the ball more. How did we dig ourselves out of the turnover-machine hole we were digging this season? We started running the ball more. They need to keep that balance and quick passing game to force teams to play more men in the box and gamble with single coverage. Then it's bombs away.
