It's all good... and mostly semantics. We are all in the same stinking boat right now with our team. Frustrated and just wanting them to stop beating themselves. How many RZ turnovers will it take before Allen stops making the same mistakes. Roll to the right, not see defenders and throwing the pick. Teams have figured out our scramble drills in the RZ and have them well covered. It's maddening. And that QB sneak play in our own EZ WTF? Even taking a safety would have been better. Anything but giving up a TD. That is on the coaching staff. Just the dumbest play calling.

NFL Week 10 - Vikings at Bills post game thread
WideNine replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
I liked it when we were mixing personnel up a bit more using our TEs and running early this season. Seems like we used more 12 personnel with Morris and Gilliam early this season when Knox was injured and have not used it much at all since he came back. Allen is back to getting tunnel vision looking past the sticks and needs to work on more quick passes underneath before committing to uncorking low percentage passes deep. Dorsey rarely let's the running game get going except in the first half where we scored. Then it was 1st down... predictable run...stuffed... then go empty...something stupid.... 3rd and long. Rinse and repeat till they either failed to convert, punted, or turned it over. Our 2nd half droughts start with Dorsey's poor play calling and failing to make good adjustments, and ends with poor execution and turnovers. There is a lot of work to do and the coaching staff has to help Dorsey game plan better. A game plan where Allen has to lean on the run and quicker throws to get out of this funk of errant passes and turnovers would be a good start. We gave up far too many 3rd and longs today on D, but I felt they still gave the offense plenty of chances to win that game. Going for a pick on 4th down is a der-t-der play that a young DB or safety usually makes just once and then knows enough to knock it down. Costly lesson to learn as that was a key play too. -
...as he has been in the past where he was forcing the ball deep to well-covered receivers. That is the very definition of regression. Allen is back to the Allen we have all yelled at before to take what the defense was giving in front of the sticks. Check it down to your play makers. Let them make a play. He has options underneath that are more than capable of moving the chains. I like Allen, I just don't like the Allen that is impatient and trying to do too much, does not spread the ball around, and tries to force the home run throw. Dorsey needs to figure out how to reign that behavior in the way Daboll must have had to do at other times when Allen showed the same tendencies.

NFL Week 10 - Vikings at Bills post game thread

So your shakey QB is making terrible RZ decisions and you go empty in OT in the RZ and Allen throws an INT. Nice job coaches. I don't want to hear about how it is tough to win in the NFL from McD. Enough with the clichés. It is damn near impossible when you are gifting opposing teams the ball week after week. -
Allen is just making terrible decisions with the ball. Can't sugarcoat it. He has regressed.

NFL Week @10 - Vikings at Bills - 2nd half game thread

Games should not come down to this. Fix this crappy turnover business and poor play calling McD. Need to take the bubblewrap off White and see if we can help get more vet presence in the secondary This team is killing me. -

RZ turnover again. ...Allen down. Dorsey is not passing the OC test with his play calling. -

They are coming on a run blitz every 1st down when we have Motor in the backfield. -

We could try a play-action pass on 1st down just to be a bit unpredictable. -

Yep. One hold that negated a positive run and he tends to go right back to empty sets. Need a nice long drive with points. We don't need it all at once. Morse has really been struggling the last few games. Just been getting rolled. -

Need to see some Jones and Settle showing up on pass rush stunts. I think the DL is focused on the run a bit more, but never thought our inside run defense was a consistent issue. Turn the dogs loose. -

I get the refs, but the announcers can see on slo-mo replay that the elbow is down before the ball is ripped out. -

Lewis giving up like 2 feet and 100 lbs. Asking him to cover a TE is a tall task... literally. Nice job Cam. -

He has been off. If there are issues it does force Dorsey to call more runs and quick passes. Not necessarily a bad thing. Also the ball is probably pretty slick right now.
