Will say this… Living in the Pitt area, a lot of Steelers fans are only showing patience for the kid due to his collegiate career and Matt Canada. He definitely needs a better system tailored to his strengths of short and intermediate throws that are quick and easy to process the right read on.

To be fair, Pickett didn’t look half bad in the game against us last year. But in general he seems to have the yips… Always seems like he’s rushed

Man Joey Porter doing a decent job at facing the play so far in this game. Levis > Pickett. Isn’t even close.

Two huge targets in Washington and Freirmuth and they aren’t targeted down load. Unfortunate on the throw but would like to see them get bigger down there.

That may be the only thing that separates them. Serious speed out of the backfield and an all-pro CB. I’ve heard people state Ramsey is a little washed up and his best days are behind him… That may be true but fully healthy he’s better than anything we have on the roster. Other than that it’s pretty much a wash given the QB situation. I couldn’t imagine what Josh’s stat lines would be if he had a Tyreek Hill type receiver who they designed plays to get the ball in space.

Steelers definitely don’t miss him but the majority of their fans wished him nothing but the best. He was a fan favorite as a person, not a player. Didnt do very well in the opportunities he was given in preseason those years he was there. Similar to the Moore’s/Carlson’s/Daniels’/Gabbert’s/Batch’s…. Great clipboard holder and scout team QB. Definitely doing good this year though so hopefully he’s changing the narrative for himself. Bit like Geno Smith… bounced around and found a system that suits and plays to his strengths.

Crazy they wouldn’t try and get something for him as I think they would still attempt to shell out the contract he’ll be asking for if his season continues the way it does. Maybe they believed that if they retain him for the year they have a better chance at keeping his services as, I’m sure like many have said in this thread, any team he was traded to would be looking at securing an extension immediately after a trade. If that is the case, can we expect an extension in the coming weeks? A failed attempt at that would surely mean he’s out the door come season’s end…

Don’t think we are overhyping any team. Bengals started off the season out of sync’ and had a underwhelming Burrow who appeared injured… They now look to be hitting their stride in the offense and for the most part their defense seems to be following suit. I’m not in the doom and gloom camp but this will be a tough out. Make no mistake about it. The whole team needs to show up for us to get a win. Need to be consistent throughout the game and not go into a scoring slump for a whole half like every other game. I have faith it’ll be either be a one score game or a complete blowout.

Going to guess the asking price was a first then if it was “too high”. Have to believe they would be willing to part with multiple picks; one day two and a third day pick/s.

Obviously the tried to trade him? I didn’t see anything that suggested they were trying to trade or get rid of him. Sure they brought in replacements but I feel that’s more a part of Tre getting injured and the play being inconsistent from the other cornerbacks. Not saying they are not willing to move on but I haven’t seen anything that alluded to him being on the trade block for these past weeks. Unhappy with the production? Sure, hence the healthy scratches.

Unbelievable that they get him for a 3rd while we grab a CB that has spotty play for the same…

What would it take is the question because I don’t think they’d take the bulk of that contract this year. They traded a first and a second then handed him a 5/140m contract… Surely they’d want a first next year to begin talks.

So is this the last chance Jimmy G is handed a starting job in the league…?

Looking at the stats it’s unbelievable that the Raiders still have a chance to win this. Absurd.

Raiders are a mess.

He did it a few weeks back… And then so did Mike Evans. Nothing all game until the final drive when he had 3 catches 70 yards and a TD.

Mental that Oakland are willing to have their starting TE play ST snaps.
