It’s stuff like this or like Josh remembering all the names of Haushka’s kids that make my respect for a player go right up. So much more easy to root for than a guy like Devante Adam’s who assaults camera men or Mahomes who has 3 year old tantrums on the sideline over a blatant rule infraction. I know how people get on McD & Beane’s case for going after “character” guys, but it does make the team much more likable.

You could throw Coleman in there too. Literally 4 different guys who could end up leading the team in receiving. Pretty crazy Real fans know. To the casuals, Shakir is just a 5th rounder who made a few clutch catches in the playoffs and had a modest regular season. Reminds me a lot of Stevie Johnson who apparently came out of nowhere, but the die hard fans saw his potential from a mile away.

I think them having the fewest sacks is a combination of both those reasons. Frankly, I’m sick of seeing Allen getting his head slammed onto the turf. Cook being a top 5 rusher is a great start to changing their offensive philosophy. It was cool watching him hurdle and stiff arm linebackers, but he’s on the wrong side of 20 and he needs to be preserved for the future. We all know Allen is capable of dissecting a defense in the pocket. Use that big strong frame to get away from sacks and buy time for a big completion. Look at John Elway when he got Terrell Davis and finally won back to back championships. I know that was a while ago, but getting your QB an elite game has never changed. Allen is big & strong enough to evade the pass rush so that’s why I’m saying they can handle a small drop off in pass pro if it means more physicality run blocking. It also means less pass plays will be called so it will protect him in that regard.

Buffalos line was solid AF. Not an elite unit, but good enough to win and produce a 1K rusher. I only expect them to get better moving the pile w/ McGovern manning the center position and Torrence going into his 2nd year. They might see a drop off in pass pro, but I can live w/ that. This is the most excited I’ve been in years. Getting rid of Dorsey and giving Brady a whole off-season is huge.

I disagree. Milano has had a lot of time to recover. Knee injuries (no ligament damage either) aren’t what they used to be. Plus he relies very heavily on instincts opposed to pure athleticism. If he has a drop off then it’s going to be very minimal. In my very humble opinion of course…

Mahomes by a slim margin. Allen can still change the narrative being not even halfway thru their careers yet. I think 17 will age a lot more gracefully as his physical tools will take a lot longer to deteriorate. Mahomes has had much more to work including better coaching so it’s really hard to tell. The benefit of having an elite TE (which are MUCH harder to find than elite WRs) cannot be understated. I’m really hoping Kincaid can be that guy. It would really transform the dimensions of the Bills offense.

In regards to Torrence…going to a 17 game NFL schedule (along w/ 2 playoff games) is brutal. I’m sure his conditioning will be much better this year. He was the most impressive rookie to me and I think he will be the best of his class. It’s no coincidence the Bills had their first 1000+ yard rusher when he was drafted in IDK how many years? Morse was a heck of technician as a pass blocker plus a great leader. I think those are the only areas Buffalo might regress in. Josh is a big strong guy and I think he can maintain. Morse was getting up there in age and it’s time to move on. I think he will be missed for however long it takes the O-line to gel. Depth is an issue (I mean what team doesn’t deal w/ this problem?) but maybe one of these rookies turns out to be a steal. Beane always seems to find that diamond in the rough. Nobody knows how the injuries will unfold, this an issue every team deals with.

Who won ?

McGovern is a much more natural run blocker. Torrence is going to be a beast as well going into his 2nd year. This line is extremely solid from top to bottom. Buffalo always lacked those slow methodical drives that eat the clock up and prevent the other team from having time to score at the end of games. That’s going to change this year

This is Buffalo’s year. The hype has died down and the offensive line is going to be a force.

It is. I watched a **** ton of Texans game last year. He looked like his normal self. What’s your analysis?

Singletary looked just like Singletary. 800 or so yards and a handful of TDs.

I’ve seen tape of both Moss and Davis. Davis is the far superior back by a mile. He’s much better catching the ball (7 rec TDs last year.) Better speed, acceleration, and elusiveness. The only things Moss has him on is power. Moss instincts are crap. I’ve never seen a less natural looking runner in all my life. Basically a poor man’s Trent Richardson. The only reason he was able to have some moderate success in Indy was because of their dominant line. My dead grandmother could average 1000 yards behind that unit.

I think MVS is a savvy vet that will have an impact similar to Emmanuel Sanders. The guy I am most excited for is Curtis Samuel. I want to see what he can do w/ an elite QB.

I think Brady and the coaching staff knew that the playoffs were slipping out of their grasp so I think they pretty much told Josh to get the job done by all means necessary. I don’t even think he goes over 10 for the year. Ray Davis is a huge indicator of the direction they want to head.

It’s called wear & tear. I can’t count how many times I’ve cringed when Josh’s head gets violently slammed onto the turf. I love the hurdles and beast mode type runs as much as the next guy, but most of this fan base is getting sick and tired of the constant punishment. It’s something that should be saved for the playoffs and not the regular season. It’ a cool stat for fantasy football nerds, but I want my franchise QB playing well into his 30s and not suffering CTE issues later down the road. Brady is heading the right direction w/ Cook eclipsing 1000 yards, but Josh is still running the ball entirely too much for my liking. We know he can throw it and throw it damn well, use that size & strength for maneuvering and breaking arm tackles in the pocket. Cam Newton should be a cautionary tale for everyone. Nobody is invincible.

What happened to players earning their nickname? This guy hasn’t done jack yet and as far as I’m concerned is a TC cut until proven otherwise.
