  1. In the chest? I don't know how it can be a bad throw it it bounces off the chest? Not a spiral? I don't care. A guy making a million dollars should catch it even if it's end over end.
  2. He was very expensive (2.7 million/yr) when they drafted a rookie who was at about the same level for a third of the cost.
  3. So what you're saying is EJ sucked the rest of the game. Just break the glass on close games with 2 minutes to go. Otherwise leave him on the shelf. They were third stringers against third stringer. EJ is also throwing against 3rd string CB's, and having to just adjust against 3rd string LB's and DL's. The 3rd stringer thing goes both ways. Also, if the snap is bad they will give the fumble to the center. Just as if a hand off is bad they give it to the QB. So those two fumbles were on EJ, not the center.
  4. How so? Are those not the stats? Please explain how that misrepresents anything. For 3/4 of a game playing against 3rd stringers those are his stats. Period.
  5. If you consider throwing for 59%, 4 sacks, 2 TD's 4 sacks and 2 fumbles good then ok. Me it's kind of meh....
  6. Fact 1 - incorrect - TT had two against Carolina Fact 2 - incorrect - otheriwse he'd be getting the reps and this competition would be over - Fact is he is 3rd on depth chart because he looks the worst. 1 good throw a game doesn't make up for the other 10 miscues (fumbles, bad throws, etc...) Fact 3 - He has proven he can't get worse, whether he has progressed is part of the whole discussion.
  7. EJ is a great kid. Says all the right things. Stays out of trouble. However, Trent Edwards was a great kid, with a wonderful family. But after he got his bell rung he just wasn't a good QB. While EJ never got his bell rung, he just isn't consistent enough to be a starting QB in the NFL. Unlike Losman who was a complete butt, EJ is a good guy and I wish him well, just not being the leader of the Bills unless he somehow has that magical QB light go on.
  8. He still got in the game. It's just like folks saying the TT has been in 14 games and has crappy stats. Usually because he'd play 2 minutes at the end of blowout with all of the scrubs.
  9. Do you even watch the games? This just leads me to believe that you're rooting for EJ because of his school, skin color, or something else. But EJ Manuel of the Buffalo Bills has played in 15 games. He has started 14. 10 and then 5.
  10. But he didn't lead to more against Carolina. Note he also fumbled in both preseason's as well as the scrimmage.
  11. Ummmm..... Last I checked, Taylor lead them to two TD's in the Carolina game???? Only 3 against the Browns. So I see it as 17 for Taylor and 18 for EJ if you're looking at it from a leadership on field standpoint.
  12. Shows how easy it is to game plan on fly against that QB. He just doesn't process to be a winner.
  13. I was going to tell him it was probably his best and most intelligent post ever. But I didn't want him getting a big head. ;-)
  14. They both averaged 1 TD and 1 turnover per game. Cassel had no weapons in Minnesota after Peterson went out. But Cassel was 17-26 and 2 TD's in that game, when he wasn't expected to have the team on his shoulders. Personally I want one of the younger guys to be the QB, Taylor or EJ, but EJ is failing. Hopefully Taylor is the guy, but if Cassel wins the starting role, then I support him.
  15. In 5 games, starting 4 last year. Manuel threw for 58%. 6.4 YPA, 5td, 3ints, 1 fum. I don't see him taking the Bills to the playoffs, much less sustaining it in the years to come.
  16. If the Bills think that and they can get a draft pick, even a 7th rounder then I suspect EJ will be gone. That way they don't have to cover his salary. If they can't trade I think he wallows on the bench at least for this season, they won't cut him.
  17. Don't disagree that it should be one of the younger guys. Taylor seems to be making the best of it.
  18. No, look through the board. People have been saying that as a reason to justify his poor performance all through camp, and it's just not accurate. Just as saying it was him with 3's against 1's all last night is inaccurate.
  19. My only point was everyone that is an EJ supporter is saying his only chance is with the 3's and they are going against the 1 defense. That is completely incorrect and everyone is mixing and matching. The other point is that Cassel and Taylor are playing a lot better in the 1 and 2 against the 1 defense and EJ is throwing INT's, fumbling or hitting tents with the 3's against the 3's.
  20. Woods is 3rd string now? Sal Capaccio ‏@SalSports Aug 11 7-7 red zone work: EJ fires a bullet to back of end zone where Robert Woods beats Gilmore for TD. Coverage was tight. Throw was great. Grey is 3rd string? Sal Capaccio ‏@SalSports Aug 11 MarQueis Gray just made a terrific one handed catch reaching behind him on a ball thrown by EJ Manuel. And Cassel is going against 3rd string? Since when did Gilmore get demoted Sal Capaccio ‏@SalSports Aug 11 First play 11-11 starters both sides. Cassel goes deep sideline to Sammy. Good coverage by Gilmore. Incomplete but official calls PI on 24. Wes Miller is a starter? Sal Capaccio ‏@SalSports Aug 10 EJ picked by......Wes Miller. Cassel aginst 3rd stringers again? Sal Capaccio ‏@SalSports Aug 10 Starters vs starters right now. And Cassel lays one on the money deep to Sammy for a TD. Beat Darby. #WelcomeToTheNFL Only EJ is with 3rd? Sal Capaccio ‏@SalSports Aug 8 Tyron Taylor has big gain on run around edge. Then busted play able to gain yardage with legs. 3rd string both sides. EJ with starters Sal Capaccio ‏@SalSports Aug 8 EJ Manuel takes first snap in scrimmage. Seantrel Henderson gets start at right tackle. Sammy Watkins and Percy Harvin WRs.
