  1. So all of the practices, film study where coaches ask questions, footwork drills, throwing drills, etc... have nothing to do with deciding who is leading the group. It only depends on yours and other fan's most of whih never probably played little league football, to decide who should start?
  2. Yes he is eligible under several criteria. Practice squads are considered to be for developmental purposes. Therefore, veterans are not eligible to be signed to the practice squad. Here is a closer look at the eligibility requirements. A player is eligible if he does not have an accrued season of NFL experience. Players gain an accrued season by being on the active roster for at least six games. If a player has one accrued season, they can still be practice squad eligible if they were on the 45-man active gameday roster for less than nine regular season games. A player is deemed to have served a season on the practice squad if he remains on the practice squad for at least three weeks. Players are eligible to be on the practice squad for two seasons. Players can be eligible for a third practice squad season if their team maintains no less than 53 players on the active/inactive list at all times However, the NFL and the NFL Players Association have agreed to expand NFL Practice Squads for the 2014 and 2015 seasons. Absent an extension of the agreement, the current rules will be reinstated beginning with the 2016 season. Under the agreement, 2014 and 2015 Practice Squads will increase from the current maximum of eight players to 10 players. In addition, the criteria for Practice Squad eligibility has been expanded in two respects. First, a player must have a minimum of six games - up from the current three games - on a Practice Squad in order for that season to count as one of the player's three permissible seasons of Practice Squad service. Second, each club will be permitted to sign a maximum of two Practice Squad players who have earned no more than two accrued seasons of free agency credit. Absent this exception, a player who has earned one or more accrued seasons would not be eligible for a Practice Squad unless the player spent fewer than nine games on a club's 46-player active list in each of his accrued seasons.
  3. Hope Taylor or EJ steps up and really takes this team under his belt. If not then it's Cassel's for a year or two we trade everything for the #1 and get Cook.
  4. Wasn't just the one play. Sounded like he had a pretty rough go of it overall. A lot of folks are saying he had the best scrimmage game last week, but he was under .500 in completions and except the one big play for a TD did nothing. All the other Qb's threw for over .500 and except for some poor field goal kicking would have put point on board as well. Sounds like an typical JP Losman game. Long ball or two to Evans and crap the bed the rest of night.
  5. Sounds like Cassel just had an average practice, Taylor the best of night? Throwing balls at tents, etc... sounds like EJ is regressing?
  6. I dare you to compare him to Michael Sam to his face.
  7. Actually LB depth is one of our question marks. Very possible he makes team.
  8. What put him on ESPN for 2 days while he goes undrafted?
  9. Is IK gong to be at practice? Who'd we cut to get him?
  10. http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/topic/179779-geno-smith-punched-jaw-broken-out-6-10-wks/?p=3624618
  11. Rex has a way to get rid of EJ without taking responsibility to the 33% who think he's capable.
  12. Vick, Campbell, Flynn, Colter, Palmer, Devlin, Thigpen, Stoudt, Mason, Boone, Waters, Harnish, Lovelocke, Halliday, Rogers and Bridge. Take your pick.
  13. You're deluded and the media is telling it straight.
  14. Enemkpali was in the Cassel camp and Geno wanted EJ to start. Those Cassel fans are such bullies.
  15. Can we sign Enemkpali? Especially when we play Jets when Geno is back.
  16. That the 3rd team offense is going against the 1st team defense. That is not and never has been an accurate statement. That is the reason EJ is failing in practice.
  17. Unless Gilmore is now a 3rd team CB, then the original statement was a lie. The first play of practice today was a pass from Cassel to Watkins that was called as a PI on Gilmore.
  18. Mike Rodak ✔ @mikerodak In burn the clock situation, Tyrod Taylor fumbled snap from Alex Kuller in 2nd team portion. Recovered by D. Not ideal... Has EJ been giving Taylor lessons on how to receive snaps? j/k
  19. So we should base who gets to start with the 1's based on how they played the day before?
  20. Tyler Dunne ✔ @TyDunne Has been a good practice from WR Andre Davis. High-pointed contested ball in 1 on 1's, then extends for TD from Taylor in red zone 7 on 7.
  21. Sal Capaccio @SalSports 7-7 red zone work: EJ fires a bullet to back of end zone where Robert Woods beats Gilmore for TD. Coverage was tight. Throw was great. 1m Mike Rodak ✔ @mikerodak Taylor has been taking all 2nd team reps today. Cassel/Manuel have taken 1st team reps but Cassel at 3:1 ratio. Manuel otherwise w/ 3s. Expand 1m Tyler Dunne ✔ @TyDunne Another drop from a young wide receiver. Thompson drops a Taylor pass in the back of the end zone.
  22. Tyler Dunne ‏@TyDunne 15s15 seconds ago A Manuel ball is thrown a tad behind MarQueis Gray across the middle. He adjusts for a one-handed catch that draws loud cheers.
  23. Goodwin is crazy fast, need to get him running screens as well.
