  1. Bernard needs to step it up in run D. He's getting erased.
  2. Benford's done fml. Concussion protocol is a joke.
  3. Josh is not himself. Somehow, he needs to pull through this rough patch and get in the endzone. Get some confidence back. Edit: both drives end because of Josh mistakes.
  4. Would've been a flag if that was Mahomes
  5. We need to spread them out but Josh is super jittery
  6. Ravens did the same. Need to respond in kind and we'll be ok. NO MORE INTs PLEASE
  7. Down 7 and a possession to start 2nd half isn't great but still early
  8. Two pick-worthy throws in the first series. welp.
  9. Otherwise known as the "we have Josh"ness. Whatever happens, it's going to be ok.
  10. That is such a bad comparison. Their route running abilities are nothing alike. They don't even play the same position. Yes, Kincaid has been downfield more and him and Josh have missed more. A lot of that is Josh throwing hopes and prayers to him on failed plays. It's too sss. Edit: you want to criticize his run blocking? Be my guest. Kincaid still looks the part of a quality receiver and the fact we haven't been more successful with him in that role is a blame pie not an indictment of Kincaid specifically.
  11. I'd love to see this followed up on by someone if they have them handy. Also, HappyDays is just flat wrong about the variance comment. In-season numbers can carry a tremendous amount of variance. Even just looking at last year vs. this year we see Dalton's catch% going from 80% to 58% despite having an entire extra off season to work out any issues re "not being where Allen expects him to be be." NBA players demonstrate tremendous variance in 3FG% as an example over small samples < 100 attempts, and they do not have to worry, usually, about being tackled. Yet, we think we shouldn't see such variance despite additional variables over relatively small sample sizes in NFL receptions. Doesn't make a lot of intuitive sense. And just to add to previous points, Knox went from Y/R of 8.5 last year to 14.1 this year (66% increase). Is that because their "chemistry" dramatically improved downfield finally in year 6? Knox is now finally exactly "where Allen expects him to be be." No - there are surely other things going on here. Some of the inconsistency is clearly on Kincaid, but he's been way above average in the passing game this season. His issue is that he's not so great in the running game - our bread and butter - and so he's ineffective on a greater percentage of plays than he would've been in Dorsey/Daboll's system, and there have unfortunately been some misses (some on him, some on Josh) which have skewed the numbers and would likely correct pretty dramatically over larger samples. /rant
  12. Once we switched to Brady’s run heavy scheme, Kincaid’s fate was somewhat sealed imo. Knox is a better fit. Have to wonder if we wind up looking to trade Kincaid in the off season.
  13. Love this comparison. Their trajectory toward best player in the league - getting to #1 well before public acknowledged it, losing to the same team in the playoffs - is eerily similar! MJ was a much better player at an earlier stage than Josh though.
  14. Not much, honestly. Like, we can't lose 4x in a row (playoffs) to these guys. Won't happen. We did lose four SBs in a row though...but we also didn't have Josh Allen. Josh > Jimbo at this point..but we did have Josh in the previous three so I guess that nuffilies it...but our Oline is definitely much better than it was the previous three games...We'll be able to run the ball this time around...way more balanced attack...And we don't have AJ Freaking Klein covering middle of the field lol...But we didn't have AJ back there in 2021 either and still lost....But they also no longer have Tyreke and Kelce is getting older...Bernard should be able to do the job....Need our banged up secondary to hold...Milano is a good blitzer so he'll help there...but is his hammy ok?...hope so...Dorian is a good change of pace if he isn't...need to watch for Worthy on those bubble screens...bet Keon outplays Worthy though...we picked the right WR this time...need another good one in the draft...that won't help us this game though...but that's ok because Josh got this and Josh > Mahomes at this point... Anyone have a Xanax?
  15. Pretty sus as the kids would say. McD was part of Reid’s staff and he’s gone on to have lots of success. More likely Reid feels some pride about that. Lots of mutual respect in all likelihood.
  16. Fair enough about Pacheco. He hasn't exactly lit it up since returning, and losing Rice was obviously the biggest issue which was never resolved. But I look at their receiver group a little like ours. Trading for Hopkins and getting Brown back moved guys closer to their natural spots much like trading for Cooper and getting Shakir/Kincaid/Coleman healthy helped get our guys back to roles more suited to talents (see Mack Hollins). It's less about one guy than a functioning offense. I look at someone like Worthy. He's not much more than a (dangerous) gadget guy at this stage. He had to be a bigger part of their season due to injuries and wasn't good but now he's back in a role where he can hurt us. I still like our chances but some posters seemed a little overly confident about the likelihood of us holding down their O despite the history and all our injuries on D, hence my post.
  17. KC has been injured on offense all year and now they're healthy. Pacheco only played in 8 games including playoffs. Brown only played in 3. Hopkins 11. Kelce is a different animal in the playoffs. This QB/coach deserves some benefit of the doubt given what they've achieved to this point even if their offense has only been good enough this year. Discounting the Chiefs after everything they've done to our defense over the years seems way overly confident.
