  1. If that’s the “deep” free agent market I would rather draft our TE
  2. Are we sure that’s it? Because I sure feel I could be fired at my job if I perform political activism at it. I was thinking it was more along the lines that collusion between two businesses is illegal, irrespective of the part being negwtively impacted. In this case two (or more) independent businesses (the nfl franchises) colluded with each other to negatively impact a party (Kapernick). From my brief research on the subject over the past twenty minutes this is what I’ve gathered. However, like I said, I’m completely unsure.
  3. Forgive me if this is something I should know, but I’m having a heck of a time understanding why this is illegal. If someone could explain this for me, I would be very grateful.
  4. If they can keep developing this league, it should succeed. A few key points need to happen. They need to target high school kids with the option of making 85k a year for 3 years and then getting drafted, instead of working for 3 years for free and having to do some semblance of classes and schoolwork. If I had no interest in getting a college degree I would certainly choose the former. The AAF also needs to have an agreement with the NFL, where NFL teams can loan practice squad players to the AAF. Since there are 32 nfl teams and only 8 AAF teams it would be around 4 teams per AAF team. And of course you don’t want the AAF filled with all practice squad players so you would need to cap it at 1 per team or so. This would give hardcore fans of those teams a vested interest in watching. I would certainly watch the Birmingham Iron if the Bills had Cam Phillips down there. Other than that, I feel the AAF has a pretty good base. If they can swing those two points I think this league could succeed for a long time.
  5. I am fine with having Carter and Bojorquez battle it out in camp. Two of Bojorquez’s big errors are easily correctable. He heard the wrong call and thought fake punt on one, a mistake I’m sure he will never make again. He fumbled a snap too, but I’m willing to overlook a rookie mistake. If he can improve his consistency a bit he will be just fine. If he hits it right he absolutely booms it. Also can’t overlook the fact that we will have a far better special teams coach (because whoever they hired can’t be any worse than Crossman).
  6. Then absolutely sign me up for Pierre Garçon
  7. They can bring as many as they want to camp. Let them all battle it out. I just wouldn’t pay Pierre Garçon much to be one.
  8. I don’t have much interest in this one. I don’t see him as much better than what we have. If he wants to come in on a no money guaranteed deal and battle it out with the rest of our 4-8 receivers then I suppose I could get behind it. I envision next year being Rd1/2 draft pick, Robert Foster, Zay Jones and I’m perfectly fine with that.
  9. I expect him to be injured the vast majority of the year.
  10. I would bet this QB draft turns into any other, “average”. You’ll get 1-2 decent starters out of it. Maybe one guy will surprise and actually be good. The rest will bust. Ho hum just another year in the NFL draft. Major tanking is not really a thing in the NFL. With no draft lottery you have to out tank 31 other teams, while keeping your job in the process. It is next to impossible to accurately tank and keep your job. Elway hasn’t drafted a good QB since... ever. He’s tried it five times and failed miserably. Actually, looking back, maybe he just realizes he’s terrible at drafting QB’s?
  11. I just cannot see the value of a first round TE, espeically in the top 15. He needs to be a can’t miss impact player to be drafted that high as a TE. I would need to know I’m getting one of the best in the league at the TE position, if not the best.
  12. It is completely fair to review mock draft accuracy immediately after the draft. The picks have happened, you can compare them to someone’s mock quite easily.
  13. I would literally back up the truck. Let him name his price.
  14. I would have bet money Elway had finally learned his lesson about re-tread QB’s and was going to draft one this season.
  15. I like how they act that the speculation isn’t based in reality. Like their new head coach hasn’t publicly said he would take Kyler Murray first overall. Either way he’s a liar. He was either lying then or he is lying now.
  16. Im the opposite. Bell is free, Brown would cost an asset. I would take Bell and stay far away from Brown.
  17. I’d offer him one on the Bills. I see very little reason Kyle wouldn’t succeed as a coach.
  18. Yikes. That mock would have been horrendous for the Bills ?
  19. Would the fans not go nuts with anticipation for the opening play? I think it’s far more interesting to have an opening pass or run than it is to have the opening play be a kickoff. Half the time, literally half the time, you get the kickoff going into the end zone and then a commercial.
  20. People still watch baseball?
  21. So.... cutting 5 bare bones players to equal 6 million. But then you would need to sign 5 guys still to fill out the roster, and you probably can’t for that 6 million ?
  22. Great ball by Wolford
  23. It’s great in theory, but it will stay that way if they can’t execute. I tried using the app all night last night and today, it didn’t work at all. I can follow along with the game, but all the cool interactive stuff they had on their commercial didn’t work at all. You are supposed to be able to guess what play will be ran next and gain experience points for it to “level up”. That has not worked for me yet.
  24. Wasn’t able to watch the game on now. Watched last nights Commanders game and am looking forward to the 8PM game on NFLN tonight. Anyone know who is calling the Stallions Hotshots game tonight on NFLN? I couldn’t find it.
  25. Off to bed for me. Will be tuning in tomorrow. Good start to the league.
