  1. I would even suggest like a 3rd plus like a sixth might get it done … But then you gotta still pay him $20m plus a year ..based on what Ridley just got paid .. If the Bucs are happy to wait until after the draft so we can accomodate him on a post June deal… ok … I think they might prefer picks in this years draft though..
  2. The dead money angle is a reasonable take … but what do you expect to pay as draft compensation and to re-sign him ? they won’t give him away … and he won’t be cheap for the Bills to re- sign … Bucs can also could get a 3rd/4th comp pick for him ….
  3. Bills would need to totally miss in the draft to consider this … and if the Bucs want to move on from him they may as well get a pick in this years draft IMO.. which the Bills can’t really accomodate to pick him up now and get his $20 mil salary on the books ,,, looks like the Bucs got a lot of dead money to eat up so likely a Diggs like situation for them ..which doesn’t make a lot of sense for a guy that seems happy enough to be there ..
  4. Problem is they don’t have the cap space to get him on the team ($14m) and then redo his deal… they gunna end up having to pay him $24m + a year then … Think it’s just too hard …
  5. Sutton would be ok if they make a trade up and can only get one WR in the draft ….he might only cost a fifth too.. But I don’t know how they do it … He has a cost of $13m and they don’t have that space … And Denver ain’t going to eat any of his salary for a Day 3 pick …
  6. If they didn’t have to pay him so much money …
  7. I personally prefer the rumour of the Chargers trading Herbert to the Vikings and taking JJ … maybe Florio needs to combine the two for a bit more extra drama … “Chargers tell Vikings to move into Top 10 for Herbert “
  8. it’s also possible that none of the teams in that 6-10 range want to trade down to 28… takes 2 to tango Im not too concerned about this .. there are just so many options for WRs this time that teams might be trying to jump them and end up taking a different guy to the one the Bills like … it’s a different situation to Elam when options were a lot more limited
  9. Yeah … this has been a crazy offseason to date …. But I’ll be very surprised if Beane pays the price to move up into the Top 10
  10. He is .. checking out his swing ..
  11. When he was completely healthy he was a reasonable level rotational DT.. Unfortunately that only happens 2-3 weeks of any year ..
  12. I’m thinking that McConkeys high floor Year 1 contribution , combined with the high ceiling and athleticism of Legette could be the way to go ….Beane needs to pull off the double somehow … take one at 28 and move up to the top of the second for the other one …
  13. He is older but inexperienced at the position.. If he comes here …He will likely be looking across at the other teams No 1 CB most weeks … work ethic alone won’t prepare him for that immediately… He might need someone else to help him… But of course I will hope for the best …
  14. Yeah … of course it’s possible … but regardless of how much they want to use him … I’m not seeing a guy like Legette doing it Year 1…. Not trying to be critical of the guy … as he does have a high ceiling and might be a beast in a couple of years ..
  15. Joe Marino was saying today that if the Bills aren’t trading up for one of the Top 3 ( which is unlikely )… and they don’t make a splashy trade for a Higgins or Aiyuk…then whoever else they end up drafting will not be the leading receiver in 2024… so in other words, the leading receiver is already on the team out of say Kincaid, Shakir or Samuel…. Do people agree with this ? Can one of the other guys come in and get say over 1,000 yards in Year 1? I think a lot of guys that seem the most likely candidates to draft - BTJ. Legette, Mitchell … might take a year to find their feet in the NFL…
  16. Certainly is … even more so in a year when the back up QBs salary is guaranteed
  17. Thought Josh was going to come out at the end and throw him some fastballs …
  18. No to DeJean over WR … I agree … If Latu was there at 28…. That would make me think though …
  19. Yeah … I could see Polk as a possibility at the end of the second … no certainty to last that long though …
  20. 2 spots in the fourth I would be thinking 5th tops
  21. You got to be honest and say that was another failure of a deal by Beane …
  22. Maybe if they got him after a trade down …and they still got a bigger body later in the second… Still not my preferred option with what they end up with
  23. I’ll obviously hope for the best … but I’m disappointed if Worthy is the first guy they pick
