  1. Isn't that basically what the Bengals will also be facing? Probably a better defense than NE's.
  2. I'd add a reliable 1st and 2nd down guy. It would sure be nice to see more 3rd and 1 or 2s than we've seen recently.
  3. If a D is giving you those 5-9 yd passes there's nothing wrong with taking them. They can be a critical part of our game plan. I don't like marching down the field with 5 yd passes, but those successes will open up the running game as well as the occasional deep ball.
  4. We see a receiver open and fail to understand that at that same time Josh is getting out of collapsing pocket, or juklng a blitzer in an effort to extend the play. There are many moving parts and all of them are important towards making the offense flow. I think Josh makes up for a helluva lot of the deficiencies but there is absolutely a limit to how much he can make up for. A degree of deficiency in the Oline and a degree of deficiency in the WRs and a degree of deficiency in the coordinator, all add up. Add to this Josh's elbow injury and we've got what we've got. Josh has probably reached the limit to what he can do, to make up for the degrees of deficiencies this offense is experiencing. He needs some help. He needs more help than what he's getting from the OL and other skill players. If the Oline can limit the sacks/rushes by a couple of game; if Josh can throw a better pass a couple times each game; if the WRs can limit the drops by a couple a game, I think we see a much more proficient offense than we've been seeing. I think there's a hope Beas can help towards this goal. He and Josh have a relationship, he knows the offense, I think it helps.
  5. I was watching this game, sitting in a sports bar in Denver, having lunch and a beer before the Bronco - Jets game. The Broncos beat down the Jets 23 - 0.
  6. This says even money is being bet this week. Most pundits I'm hearing are taking the Bills and giving the points (maybe 70/30). For me, it comes down to believing whether or not Josh will make the same mistakes he did in the first game. Knowing Josh, I don't see that happening.
  7. It depends what the definition of "it" is 😁
  8. What we need through these final 5 games? Health, health and more health
  9. My greatest fear of Josh getting hurt is a blind side hit that he doesn't see coming.
  10. I'm most happy with Josh. It's unfortunate we have to ride him as much as we do. But it is what it is. I hope he stays healthy!
  11. What is sad is that when the Bills needs a few extra yards, in critical situations like this, Allen is where they have to go to gain the yards.
  12. Not very, probably. But the real power shift in the House are committee assignments, what legislation does and doesn't even come to the floor, etc. It's significantly more than vote counts.
  13. Not sure how this looks after this week's games, but don't the Bills lead the league in QB pressures while being the last in the league in blitz percentage? I don't think the Bills have to blitz.
  14. Gotta allow the players to have off games, even Allen. The difference with this team is our MVP QB can have an off game with us still winning by ten.
  15. The Bills have won 2 of the last 3 games, all played at Kansas City, with the only loss being the 13 second game which the Bills lost in OT. Odd that you consider that "owned".
  16. Ahhh. So let's assume we have one, or maybe even two, more losses this season. Where will they be? We'll be favored in each but odds are we've got, perhaps, a Jacksonville game in us somewhere. Where?
  17. Rypien really isn't that good. I do hope he has the game of his life
  18. It was a combination of a number of things. Mostly, his Oline sucked (similar to his Oline in Buffalo his first year or two). His RS soph yr in Laramie he had the best talent around him in his college career and Wyo played in the conf championship game (that was Gentry's and Hollister's senior seasons). Honestly, I think his completion percentage was largely impacted by the amount of scrambling he had to do. I saw Allen do things in Laramie that I had never, ever, seen a QB do (that includes Alex Smith, Jim Mcmahon, Steve Young, Marc Wilson, Dan McGuire, Randall Cunningham, Derrick and David Carr and others). Wyoming is what it is. The real whiff if there was one was missing his value out of HS. He lived in Fresno State's back yard and grew up as a huge Fresno State fan. They passed on him.
  19. Without Taylor, I think the Donks win.
