  1. It's important to note that this map measures generated energy as opposed to consumed energy. California, for example, prides itself on data such as this. Guess who is the largest "consumer" of the energy generated in the Rocky Mountains?
  2. Not all states with background check laws require that all sales be checked. But nonetheless, the majority of all sales in the US go through a background check. The post I responded to said otherwise.
  3. You mean your side? All I said is perhaps you were right. Are you a man?
  4. It seems trans are owning lots of women, perhaps you're right. You're a man?
  5. Wouldn't those that support the government doing what they are doing to private business be the communists?
  6. The issue isn't about Twitter, or any other media platform, it's about what our government has and is doing to try to influence and control what media platforms print or allow. I'm sympathetic to Twitter, Facebook and other media platforms. Having the govt opining what should or shouldn't be allowed is a tough spot for 'em. The problem, as I see it, is the government's attempts to monitor, influence and restrict our press and free speech.
  7. Both can be true. Taibbi acknowledged the mistakes Hasan found and he corrected them.
  8. LOL Did you just respond to a post claiming 100% error, with one that is 100% in error.
  9. The role of govt since our inception. Actions and reactions, and reactions to those reactions. You just don't like what ELECTED representatives decide. Sorry, that's how it's worked for like, ever.
  10. Public schools are the government. Parent's elect their representatives, both legislative and school board. Good faith discussions are a part of the democratic process and people are electing their representatives based on those discussions (campaigns). It sounds to me the process is occurring just as you describe, and you just don't like the result. School employees have never had the final say. public input has always existed. There have always been boundaries. Over the past decade, our govt employees at schools have pushed the envelope. Citizens have reacted to that. And here you are reacting to that reaction. Democracy is working.
  11. Certain books have always, always not been available in grade school libraries. This isn't something new. 10 yrs ago we relied on common sense to make that determination. It's a shame that we need laws today.
  12. White going to the Dolphins to back up Tua. Sure appears to me that the Jets think they gave Rodgers.
  13. One democrat's opinion. Did you see her debate recently on DCs vs the USAs rights, regarding DC? She didn't have a clue what she was talking about. Was she truly ignorant or acting?
  14. AOC's an actress, and I'll give you she's a good actress. Her testimony in congress regularly shows that she little to no understanding of the subject being discussed and/or the constitution and legislative process.
  15. It's not this simple, however. I can speak to Wyoming very well. We've got two major federal highways through our state. We've got 1 of 3 nuclear air force bases. We've got one of the largest national parks and we've got one of the highest federal land ownerships in the nation. We've got very significant federal expenditure in our state for these and many other reasons. Then consider our denominator, having the smallest population of all states in the union. Our deficit is huge. Our per capita federal spending is huge.
  16. Not sure I see any controversy. Sad. Unfortunate. Sure
  17. He won't ever play in the NFL again if he brings such a lawsuit.
  18. I haven't seen this mentioned in this thread yet. Dobler is a fellow UW alumni along with Josh. He played at Wyo during the Black 14 incident.
  19. Week in and week out, I see WRs from other teams high point passes and win 50/50 balls. We don't have any of those WRs in our room. Diggs is one of the best route runners in the game, and effectively creates space. Davis just isn't good at creating space on his initial route. Nor is he good at high pointing a pass and coming down with those 50/50 balls. He's OK, but he's not where other #2s are. And that said, someone posted how the really good teams no longer have a #1 and #2, but rather have two #1s. Our Bills WR room is really weak in comparison to other top teams WR rooms.
  20. As has been mentioned numerous times in this thread, doesn't this 41% include throw aways by Josh. I guess you can call that an "absolute miss" if you'd like. I think most see the significant difference, however, between an intentional throw away and an "absolute miss".
