Quick strike over the middle? We can't contain either edge, we can't stop the run....... Guys in this thread that think our D is going to come out and make some kind of statement are fooling themselves. Our one dimensional offense is going to have to have a near perfect game to beat the Jets.

Heads weren't where they needed to be. Just thinking about the last half of the 4th quarter. We have our #1 WR walking back to the LOS as the clock is running, we have two 15yd roughing penalties on our defense, we have our QB run up the middle for less than 10yrds with no time outs to stop the clock. Hearts and heads weren't there. And you know we know better. It's things like this I can't get my head wrapped around.

Yeah, I wasn't defending our offense. I'm struggling with the posters that are defending our defense.

Do the Bills have the personnel to improve the run game? While we pass block OK, we are terrible run blocking. Is that scheme (coaching) or talent on the field?

You can't compare the typical KC offense to last night's game. They brought an entirely different game plan. I don't know if it was due to the whether, due to tape on the Bills, etc. They didn't bring their "high powered" offense. Mahomes was a game manager last night and they ran the ball up our "personalities" using much more clock on their drives than they typically due. While we did drop our defenders some, to keep their receivers in front of us, we couldn't stop their run so they just simply kept bringing it. This is exactly what happened

Any of our future opponents that don't run it up our throats, with an RPO sprinkled in here and there to their tight end hasn't been paying attention. You think the D functioned last night?

No doubt we need both. Last year we needed the O to score in the 20s to have a chance to win most games. I think we'll need high 30s or even 40 to win tonight.

Our LBs have to stay back tonight or Kelce will kill us. Our front 4 really have to have a great game tonight.

I said a few weeks ago that our O would hiccup once or twice this year and the D would have to win the game. The O hiccupped last night. Both sides contribute and compliment each other. I continue to feel very good about our O. They've proven themselves this season. The D has not yet proven themselves to me. it appears that our chances of winning relies much, much more on our offense this year. I have little faith in our D contributing much more than they have to date.

The line pass blocks very well. They can't open up a hole at all.
