The only Darnold that would be better then McCown would be maybe week 1. But the Jets defense isn’t as bad as people think. They are playing good football so I don’t know what makes you think any QB on our roster is going to MetLife and putting up numbers

If his elbow is good enough to throw then he is good enough to get hit. The reason he was benched was because he couldn’t throw because of the injury. And he needs as many as he can get because he is terrible.

He has been throwing a 100 passes a day all week. That is twice the amount he would throw in a game. Let him play at this point he needs the reps.

I don’t think he is playing. I believe the only reason they haven’t ruled him out is for the fans sake. To make it look like they actually are trying to win games and be competitive. Which is something they clearly haven’t been trying to do all season. I hope I’m wrong but that’s what I believe

Completely disagree McCown makes then better then they were with Darnold. And their defense will have a field day with whoever is in at QB

What does it matter when our offense doesn’t and is incapable of taking advantage of anything. We can only hope Allen gets better and our defense can play just as well next year. I’m assuming our defense will be even better next year as well as our offense all we will need is a #2 corner and our defense becomes a unit with no weaknesses. Which as much as McDermott cares about his defense it’s odd to me that he let the #2 corner spot go unaddressed the entire offseason. Maybe he couldn’t find a good second corner who knows his scripture. It’s just another showing that McDermott isn’t thorough or his evaluation of talent isn’t that good

I’m going to this game I hope Allen plays. So I can atleast feel like I got my money’s worth. But I doubt we see Allen until after the bye week

His play calling is inexcusable though. You can say what you want but he is terrible. His play calling is to basic and predictable. Last night he ran the ball way to many times when he shouldn’t have. Then the one time on 3rd and 3 and he should have ran he decided to throw. And bringing the wildcat in was stupid. They already know we run the ball most of the time. The wildcat just takes all the guess work out of it and allows them to commit to stopping the run. It was an amateur offense we ran last night and has been the majority of the games this year

He has to weak of an arm to be in the NFL. That’s why all his outside routes get jumped. If Daboll can scheme a quick passing game with screens and short slants in the middle of the field and minimize the impact of his weak arm then we could pull off a win. But Dabolls play calling and schemes have been horrible so I don’t know

Our offensive play calling is so bad. It is really a shame because our defense is playing amazing. But our offense isn’t giving them any time to take a break. We just started our drive on the 35 of the patriots and did nothing with it. This is not going to beat the Patriots

Does anybody else think we should pursue Todd Haley? He is a good OC and is very creative. He didn’t really get a fair opportunity in Cleveland because he was attached to the HC but he is an upgrade over Daboll

Teams already know we are going to run the ball the wildcat is just making them dial up against the run and stack the box even more. It has to go. Our defense is playing great but they are going to get tired after being on the field this much. And the wildcat just took us out of field goal range.
