  1. As Frank Barone would say, holy crap. That was awesome.
  2. Alamodome parking lots will be open for tailgating at 10:00 on the 2nd. There has been some question here in SA about whether or not they would allow booze and grilling (since they don't have the NFL here obviously and there aren't a lot of sporting events held in the dome.) It was announced today that you can party to your heart's content. There is also some parking on Durango Blvd about 1/4 mile from the dome, but I don't know if tailgating is allowed there. Best bet is to get to the Alamodome lots early, start heaving the pigskins and hoisting the brews. I highly recommend "Shiner Bock" for those of you willing to try a good local brew. (Stay away from "Lone Star" whatever you do!) Here's a link to the Alamodome parking scheme: http://www.sanantonio.gov/dome/parkingmap.asp Directions to the Alamodome lots from the Holiday Inn Riverwalk (for Aussie and her crew): Take St. Mary’s St. south for 4 blocks to Durango Blvd, make a left onto Durango. Take Durango for about 3 blocks. When you go under Interstate 37, there will be a sign in the median directing you to the Alamodome parking lots. Lot B is the largest of the lots and may be the best bet for those arriving early. Good luck and I’ll keep my eyes open for ya’ll. Billnut
  3. I may have a pair of tix to sell in a couple of days. They would be a pair in the corner, 36 rows up on the first level. I paid $75 apiece for them plus ticketmaster fees. Will sell them at cost. If interested, send me a private msg and I'll get back to you. I should know if they are for sale by the end of the day Friday.
  4. A Bills game here in our backyard - like manna from heaven.
  5. The biggest reason was JP's early effectiveness passing. That forced their 8th man out of the box, thus allowing McGahee to become more effective as time went on.
  6. Where is Howard Simon when we need him?
  7. When I hear something on the local news I'll post it. But I'm sure that whenever the announcement is made, the word will be out everywhere very quickly.
  8. Agree, agree, agree, and agree.
  9. I have some good contacts with the City & Alamodome management and I'll check into the tailgate situation. Will let ya'll know.
  10. It is like opening up your presents on Christmas morning!! GO BILLS!!!!!!
  11. Michelob Ultra. I may take some crap for this, but I've worked hard to get down under my college weight and I ain't gonna screw it up now!!!
  12. Does it make you feel better thinking that a win against the Steelers wouldn't have made any difference? Woah.
  13. Speaking of Sapp, I only watched the first half but he doesn't look like he has much left in the tank, to me.
  14. Lindell will get it done. I have faith.
  15. Even with 8-9 men in the box on every play? I think they will dare us to throw. That's what I would do if I was the Texans D coordinator.

  17. Take the ball and McGee runs it back to our 40. Open the series with an 18-yard play action pass to Evans, and the crowd goes nuts. After JP waves to the crowd to be quiet, they run a reverse to Evans again for another 20. This is followed by a screen pass to McGahee for the TD.
  18. Ticket 760 (SA sports radio station) and the local NBC affiliate are both reporting tonight that the Saints-Bills game WILL be in SA. The Alamodome abruptly cancelled a "Homebuilder's Expo" that was scheduled for the weekend of Oct 2nd. An official announcement about the game should come tomorrow. It is believed that while the Saints-Bills game will be in SA, not all their games will be due to some Alamodome events being non-cancellable. SA is after the NFL in a bad way and the team is of course headquartered there with their families at this time. SA is the closest the Saints can get to a home game this year, so this makes sense.
  19. I still think the Bills-Saints game will be held in San Antonio. A radio report here in SA this afternoon (a SA Councilman talking) indicated that SA has absorbed over 250,000 refugees from LA. That, and the City of SA is ready to kiss serious a$$ to get some NFL games played here. They see it as an audition for a franchise moving here. (I happen to think they are dreaming about landing a franchise here.) There is talk that they could have new suites built in the Alamodome within 3-4 months. Also, Tom Benson has car dealerships and a home (I believe) down here.
  20. Good points Buckeye. A bit of humble pie isn't a bad thing. Better in preseason than later.
