Why not just have a play in game? The fourth team vs say UCF this year for example? Whoever wins gets in. There is no need to change anything really because the ccommittees gotten it right every year. It should always be about who the best teams are. Not just because the pac 12 team won its conference championship and some other team didn't. Further I'm against an 8 team playoff or a ten team playoff because it devalues regular season games. If you like playoffs go watch the NFL, leave college football alone.

As I've gotten older I find it easier to accept that players/people you disliked because of who they played for etc were actually good and it's ok to admit it. If you ever get a chance to see Saban in person go do it. He is a very smart detailed oriented person. He would be successful no matter what business he pursued.

Some of you guys dont understand. You can have the greatest scheme in the history of the NFL but without the players scheme is almost worthless. The Patriots aren't doing it with scheme. Derek Anderson or NP as the Patriot's QBs wouldn't have the record Brady does. I saw Daboll trying to throw new wrinkles in but there are NO weapons. No oline, no decent qb, and no decent wide receivers.

Take the top pick and trade it for more pics in the draft. I'd draft 5 olineman and from there wide receivers. I wouldn't touch defense until oline and wr issues are addressed.

I'm not talking about right now. I'm talking about FA and drafts. Next year is the year for improvement. And what I mean by improvement is gradual not superbowl winning improvement. Something like a 8-8 to 9-7 record. If we see no improvement, another dumbest ever trade, and a losing record it would be time for a change.

I don't necessarily disagree with you. They've made some serious almost fireable mistakes. I give them this year and next. If I don't see something that can be deemed progressive/pulling this team together then I'd fire them. Right now they have totally clustered this team up. The sole reason this team is a mess is because of them.

Keep the coaches, bring in talent, and rebuild. Firing anyone will only compound the mistakes made.

Wouldn't you think it would be better to keep a guy who has been here a few months than to bring someone in who would only have a couple of months to learn a system/timing with receivers? Absolutely they should have given AJ a shot. The only way they could have made the qb situation worse is if they had let you or me play qb.
