Reminds me of what that coach on Last Chance U said quite simply, "it's not the x's or o's, it's the Jimmy's and the Joe's". I'll give the coaching staff the benefit of the doubt after last year. The Bills are at a decided disadvantage every week with the amount of dead money this year. Now they have to develop the talent to extend because FAgency isn't the answer to building a quality roster.

I think the earlier mention of Mark Sanchez wasn't a bad one. He's taken on the mentor role well in the past couple of years and is not a threat to Allen. He's a professional and I think could really help with Allen's development. He's an interception machine due to arm strength, but he's proven to be serviceable. Another mention I thought was interesting was Griffen. I'm game for kicking the tires on anyone now. Who in the QB room is going to make him better in the mental and preparation side of the business? Rex Grossman embraced this with the Redskins, got a couple more years in the league and helped with Cousins.

You gotta trade McCoy now... right?

Got it. Do they also automatically assume responsibility for his 6.1 base in 2019 as well? -

Do any of you know what his cap hit is for this year? Over 11 million. He's the 5th highest paid RB (when Bell reports) after the recent deals. Only a hand full of teams have the cap space. I think Lynch recently fetched a 5 round pick? I can't recall any other recent RB trades. The Raiders were ridiculed for being stupid then and that was with a 4.5 million salary for him. What did the Bills get for Lynch when he was a young guy, a 4th? The Bills messed up giving McCoy an extension when it wasn't needed. His cap hit is 9 million next year, too. They screwed up and as always we pay the price. 50-60 million in dead money over two years is inexcusable. I'd bee thrilled to get a bag of balls for him at this point. Anything more and we hit the jackpot. -

Name the charity. $50 You've been stuck in western NY too long. The quality of sports journalism in other parts of the country allows the fans in those areas to look at facts and not be subjective and have opinions that are uniformed and baseless. Another front office like the Browns isn't going to bail this group of executives out. -

Did you even read the summary? It's all stuff that's been documented by the Philadelphia Inquirer and other "legitimate" publications. Guy's a known cancer and a d!ck. Take off your blinders. How about this: http://www2.philly.com/philly/sports/eagles/lesean-mccoy-buffalo-bills-allegations-philadelphia-eagles-marcus-hayes-20180711.html https://www.newyorkupstate.com/buffalo-bills/index.ssf/2016/02/list_of_lesean_mccoys_off-field_incidents_grows_amid_philadelphia_police_investi.html Do you see a pattern here? I wanted no part of him in a Bills uniform. Having contacts in the media, going back to his rookie season people have been cleaning up his messes for a while. -

For the individuals with their heads in the sand, this is what the rest of the NFL front offices know about this guy: https://www.crossingbroad.com/2018/07/a-look-back-at-lesean-mccoys-off-field-issues.html He's always around some bad things going on. ****Newsflash for you eternal optimists, he's worth NOTHING on the trade market! I'm starting to question the football intelligence of the fan base. -

Google is your friend. Living in Philadelphia it's well known he's a creep. -

You're delusional. If you could find a willing partner to accept the money owed (a big if) you're looking at a conditional 6th or 7th tops. In a position of much higher value, what did the Bills get for M. Darius? -

I'm astonished at the lack of awareness and understanding of the salary cap and position value. RBs past the age of 28 have very little value in the trade market. When you add to the equation a high cap number it's even less. Also, the legal issues of this specific player and previously known character issues and you're stuck with him. -
BOLD Prediction...Shady and a draft pick for Bell
YodaMan79 replied to Hebert19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This isn't the 90's NFL. It would be a colossally stupid/Bills move to do this. Similarly to when they gave McCoy a contract extension for more $$$ when it wasn't needed. over the past 5-8 years, good teams don't have their RBs making 8+ million. You pay the other skill position players first and the men in the trenches. -
Steven Means should be in here and offered a contract. Not a sexy name, but the guy can play, he lost out on a numbers game in Philadelphia. The Eagles DL is one of the strongest in the league. This is how you find diamonds in the rough.

Eagles Release LB Mychal Kendricks - Signing with CLE
YodaMan79 replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Guy can flat out ball when healthy. His contract made it hard for the Eagles to trade him. He will be a great addition if possible. The only down side is he's susceptible to soft tissue injuries. Be prepared for him to sit 2-4 games a year. He's young and still has a good amount of career ahead of him, not often these guys get cut this time of year. Make it happen. -
How much longer will we have shady?
YodaMan79 replied to Cusefan66214's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Father Time is undefeated. At his cap number and fresh legs always available in draft at a discounted $, I suspect this will be his last year. His ego is too big to realize what AP should have, the FA market is not kind to RBs at any age. As a aging RB, always the reduced team deal. Agents do their clients a disservice in not being honest with them. Why the Bills gave him an extension when they did was confusing? 2017 4.0 YPC, that will not merit his cap number. Has dropped a bit over the years. -
RB Kenjon Barner visiting Bills
YodaMan79 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Camp body that could surprise some ppl if injuries deplete the already questionable group. Solid pro, nothing to loose in seeing what he can do. -
Lets hope they get him an appointment with Nelson Agholor's sports psychologist and the QB and coaches put him in a position to ball out. If NA could recover from what he was going through I have hope for Zay. We need some mid-tier players to step up and surprise us and the league.

Kick The Tires on Brandon Marshall?
YodaMan79 replied to YodaMan79's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I like the analogy. Did he pass on the Bills for the Ravens last year? The more I think about it, I like the post above. Lets hope they find the next Jimmy Smith, Rod Smith or Wes Welker off the trash heap. -
Kick The Tires on Brandon Marshall?
YodaMan79 replied to YodaMan79's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Maclin is a professional. Good team guy who's been bitten by the injury bug. I think he'd be good for a young WR room. -
Bring him in and kick the tires. Guy was a beast and a big target. Never relied on solely on speed or quickness, was just a physical force and big target. I think a new QB would be lucky to have a couple big physical targets that can win 50/50 situations.

Predictions: Buffalo Bills 2019 record
YodaMan79 replied to dollars 2 donuts's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Talent wise 5-11, but I thought the same thing last year. Good coaching and hungry roster could add 2-3 wins. I think we're looking at a 7-9 year. -
Number 1 WR Jordan Matthews Still Looking for a Job
YodaMan79 replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
They were historically bad, no sarcasm. Agholor looks like a stud now, but he's been a head case the previous years. I'm surprised he's put his career back on track. -

NDT Scouting 2018 Top 150 Draft Board
YodaMan79 replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We'll only know in about 3-4 years. We should look at previous draft rags to see how good their prognostication skills really are. I'd also like to see a montage of the network talking heads describing all the can't miss players that have done nothing in the league.
