I life in Houston and love the Texans demise, i am about as big a critic of BOB as you can find BUT i wil say unloading the Oswelier contract was a masterstroke, maybe his best move ever.

How so? He signed him to the contract and then one year later traded him and gave away a second round pick who turned into one of the best running backs in football. he was dumb enough to sign into a huge contract and then he was dumb enough to have to do that to get rid of it.

I don’t get the league. How is it not told to all refs to just score it a touchdown for the auto review. This shouldn’t even have to be a coach challenge. Whatever they call (it’s a touchdown) it should have been an automatic review. Anything even close should be ruled a touchdown to auto review it

Because if there isn't a view to overturn it then you'd have calls they stand that weren't TDs. They have to call what they see and go from there. Can't just default to TD and figure it out afterwards.

Yeah, like Eric Bienemy.  The guy that taught the young qb how to win mvp.....and super bowl mvp......and is still the OC.  Or Mark Roman, the guy that turned LJ into mvp.

Bienemy's hangup is he has never called plays, and the Andy Reid effect.

Roman has only been successful with running QBs.

I dont think a space eater in the problem.  They played the #1 running team by a wide margin.  Milano and Edmunds are not where they need to be in run fits.  Its also the second game they saw another team.  Give it some time.  I think they are going to be a very good compliment to the offense.

Who is the number 1 running team?

No, I don’t think losing Jordan Phillips and replacing him with Quinten Jefferson has hurt our D.

No, I don’t think star opting out and replacing him with Vernon butler has hurt our D.

no, I don’t think losing Shaq Lawson and replacing him with Mario addison has hurt our D.

I think that the makeshift offseason, having no fans, tremaine sucking, Tre’Davious not playing like he did last year and not playing the terrible offenses we played last year has more to do with it than the additions/subtractions.

The Jets are the worst offense in the league. The Dolphins aren't very good either.

I actually think he could be elite.... if he played in the slot. But as an outside corner I think he is good. He isn't by any means a bust. But I don't think he is going to be elite on the outside.

Ward just held AJ Green to 29 yards on 13 targets. His only concern at this point is injuries. Outside of that, he's elite.

  6. I agree, to an extent.

My wife and I claimed $296,000 last year. My wife makes about $42,000. I own a small metal fabrication company with profits about $200,000 last year, and payroll of about $54,000 for myself. I paid about $55,000 into taxes, so it looks like I can just walk away with $150,000 at the end of the year but it didn't work that way. The company needs operating money. I took out around $10,000 to cover my Roth and throw some in another investment account.

We live ok, but nothing lavish. A house worth half our towns average ( ours is around 100k).  Newer car, but a Subaru, not a BMW or some high dollar model.

So $200,000 didn't mean some extravagant lifestyle of the rich.

I don’t see it getting to that point. Washington was a bit of an extreme. The Atlanta Braves aren’t changing their name as an example.

If they do, so be it. I have a lot of stuff that will be obsolete (including the shirt that I have on now). As long as the “Buffalo” part doesn’t change I’ll manage. I don’t think that it’ll happen though.

The "Braves" isn't a deragetory name for Native Americans. I don't think they should change the Bills name either, btw.

There have been plenty of years were Cam has been healthy and not great.  He is just an average QB with injury issues.

I said he has been above-average to great depending on the season. He's won an MVP. He averages 30 TDs and 16 turnovers per year, which for a running QB and including fumbles isn't too terrible. He averages 600 yards rushing per year, to go along with 3600 yards passing. If healthy he has more physical talent than most.

The main factor will be if he is healthy.

The media believes he’s going to be much better on the Pats than he was on the Panthers

I think that, and they think he'll finally be healthy. Now, staying healthy is another issue. When healthy, Newton is above average to great, depending on the year.

His F the police tweet should be in every newspaper, news report, and court document out there.  You can't say stuff like that, and then do what he did last night.  I would take it as a threat if I was an officer.

Are you insinuating that the officers had seen his old Twitter posts and reacted to a perceived threat because of it?

No one worried about him having character issues.

The problem on the sideline was over Oliver wearing a coat. The coach, Applewhite gets the benefit on the doubt why? Especially when people like Simms called out how poorly Applewhite treated him while at Texas...

Remind me again, where is Applewhite is coaching these day, because it certainly ain't Houston.

    He's at Alabama.
