  1. We definitely need to score against a good D. Maybe he thinks this is a baseball board. Wins Above Replacement It's like some people think we will beat him and he won't be a first ballet HOFer. "If it wasn't for that first game against the Bills without Brady he woulda got my vote". Who cares if he has more rings than anyone else in NFL history.(unless Brady can win 2 more for the tie or three for the win without Belichik winning another.)
  2. We aren't talking about actually going to the man's house and...oh that isn't what you meant 😈
  3. They know our LBs are banged up and if they don't get rid of it quick our DL is gonna drop em in spite of the holding. I think if we had a little more strength we may drop em anyway.
  4. PFF just happens to agree with me this time. I don't need PFF. I have eyes of my own I'm not a mainstream stay watcher. PFF actually tends to be better a these types of stats though because they can't be lazy and just look at the league leaders page on NFL.com. they actually have to watch each play. He was probably the best option available at the time. They tried to aquire others but we're unsuccessful.
  5. We win this game then the division is likely ours. We lose it then the division is wide open.
  6. No but picking yourself up and getting your ***** together regardless of who you're playing is. It also builds confidence in the long run for the players that they can do this. One of the things I was questioning was the D's confidence and ability to play with each other. Injuries aside this is a very talented team leaving me scratching my head at times.
  7. In spite of his misses Bass impressed me. He seemed to be phycologically uneffected by his misses. Kicker is probably the position most effected by phycological things.
  8. One knock I could give concerning our current DEs is a tendency to over pursue. A healthy Milano and Edmonds have made up for over pursuit in the past at LB. I honest believe when this D gets healthy they will sit just outside the top ten with Star and a good 3rd LB we would be top 5 again.
  9. I've wondered if they have thought about moving Jerry to Zo's spot. In my opinion Zo and Star are what's missing in this D. Them and our injury list is horrible especially when you consider there are likely unreported injuries to prevent competitive damage.
  10. This D isn't predicated on sacks. It's designed to force the ball out quickly into our zone coverage which is often not what it looked to be pre-snap. Unfortunately our pass defenders have been and are banged up. Yup we just don't know why. He seemed to be playing just fine against the Jets though.
  11. If the league is going to continue to allow holding to put up points then yes speed rushers will become obsolete. Technicians will also become obsolete. All the OL will have to do is wrap the guys jersey and it's over. Hell, if this is the new normal then give me a 3-4 Defense.
  12. Jerry is still one of the best edge rushers in the league so 33 means nothing. I don't think our ends are the problem.
  13. Stronger is probably the better word. Guys that can break away from the OL having his arm tucked up under theirs with the jersey wrapped around their fist as I have seen a ton this season.
  14. It is completely apparent when you actually watch the tape. So is a ridiculous amount of holding which the league is allowing. All teams get hurt by QB runs unless they game plan to stop it. Just ask the teams that play Lamar, Josh, Dak and Murray to name a few. That's why it's great to have a mobile QB.
  15. You saved me the trouble of having to do this in the other thread. You also have to bring into account that Oliver has been playing a lot of 1Tech.
  16. It really depends on if the league desired to make legal offensive holding the norm. If so then we need to go with larger DEs. If not then we are fine with who we have once Star returns next season. The tape don't lie. That doesn't mean we shouldn't look for possible upgrades.
  17. We could have kept Phillips but Shaq said some things they made me believe he wanted to move on and Shaq is who I would have wanted to keep.. Star opting out is the biggest problem with our line.
  18. You would think that it would be very apparent to people that Star does his job. Especially this season when he isn't playing they should see what he has done. This D misses him.
  19. Don't know but the sooner the better. I think if they didn't believe they could at least get him some reps or might need him they would have waited.
  20. This board might make you think that at times. The media just doesn't see to care for Buffalo. It is a big enough city for them. Bill's Mafia is probably the most loyal fan base. Nothing is ever good enough or it is not happening fast enough.
  21. Well he isn't at risk of being cut so if somebody wants him they'll have to give up a pic. As far as 25 best QB in the league goes, the 25th best QB in the league is worth a box of Tom Brady's deflated balls as far as compensation goes. People here complain about Murphy an awful lot but he was a big part of beating the Jets on Sunday. You'll notice he wasn't a healthy scratch on Sunday.
