AJE and Boogie? Hmm - Phillips and Obada over them I guess. -
Collinsworth was almost impossible to listen to.

Still not sure what is up with josh mechanics this year. -
It is either: Bills Win 38-24 or Bills lose 24-13 I think our D holds KC to around 24 points. The question is what Bills O shows up? This is not a game the O can play bad and the D makes it easy to score 35 still.
-
I would guess interior OL or DT. That seems to be our most aged positions. This roster is getting past the upgrade with a rookie mindset and is now a plan for a year or two down the road.
-
Thoughts: KC will score at least 20 points. I dont think our D will look even close to what we are used to right now. I think it will be better than what we saw in last years two games though. So if KC gets to 24 points its all on the offense. If we get the good Josh and can protect we win this one 38-24. If we get the no so good version its a long night and we lose 24-16.

Bills seemed to go with the heavy DL package much more and also rested guys a lot. Look at the snap counts (all 47 of them): Zimmer 51% Hughes 51% Basham 49% Oliver 49% Star 47% Phillips 43% AJE 43% Rousseau 38% Addison 30%

Schedule makers did us no favors
ngbills replied to 4merper4mer's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Epic fail. 3 of first 4 at a home and 3 of last 4 at home. End the year vs the Jets, ATL and NE all will most likely already be done for the year. We could be resting starters in 2nd halfs the last 3 games of the year. -
Agreed - surprised at LAV start as well given the teams they beat albeit the games were close. DEN 3-0 looks more like a case of playing a soft schedule to start though it is still the NFL and they are taking care of business.

We are very early on in the season but lets take a look at the AFC landscape: AFC East: We have the Bills and everybody else as expected. No real shockers here. The Bills look like the only legit team in the division and still conference champion favorite. Bills are tied for largest point differential in the league. Miami was the expected threat but a blowout lost to the Bills and now loss to LAV is a reason for concern. AFC North: The division is close but CLE looks like the favorite given the quality of wins. CLE could be 3-0 if they didnt blow the week 1 game to KC. PIT week 1 win looks more like a fluke. CIN and BAL are possibly both contenders. AFC South: Weakest division in the conference. TEN has not looked great but is still the favorite. IND had been a big disappointment at 0-3. Both JAC and HOU are not good. So I think TEN takes this division easy and the three other teams are all sub .500 by a lot. AFC West: KC is a surprising 1-2 and could easily be 0-3. DEN and LAV are both a surprising 3-0. Then you have LAC at 2-1. This looks to be the best division in the conference. What is the reality here? The LAV start looks more legit than DEN given the quality of wins (BAL, PIT, MIA), but DEN has won big though its against NYG, JAC, and NYJ. Not ready to write KC off as I expect they will turn it on when they start feeling the pressure. So I still think KC wins this division but we get a potential for 2 wild card teams here. Predictions: East: Bills (1) North: CLE (4) South: TEN (3) West: KC (2) Wild cards: BALT (6), LAV (5), LAC (7)

So funny. People who said Allen played bad the first two weeks (most of them at least) expect him to play like this. Daboll and Allen made a lot of adjustments if you watch the film of this game vs the first two as many said. This was not a case of everyone around Allen played better and he has been perfect. It started with Allen being better and that takes the pressure off everyone else.

Picking up Edmunds Option a Rare Beane Mistake
ngbills replied to Billy Zabka's topic in The Stadium Wall
He did look bad today. Noticed him multiple times just not making plays. He looked slower than normal. -
He completed less than 60% of his passes in 2 games the entire season. He has done that twice already this year. QB rating under 80 in 5 games, already twice this year. His Y/A numbers this year are worse than all but 1 game last year. His 9 & 7 bad throws would be two of his worst of last seasons. Josh has admitted he is not playing up to his standards. Fans are allowed to admit this too.

Josh Allen heard about this thread and wanted to pass along a few messages: “The job of the quarterback is to put your team in a position to score points and do whatever it takes to win games. That’s what we did last week. I don’t really care what anybody thinks, I care about what the guys in this locker room think. There’s no secret that I didn’t play great last week, I didn’t play great the week before but it’s something I’m working on. I’ve just got to push through it and find ways to be better.” “I demand so much of myself. I want to execute at such a high level and when things aren’t going right I get so frustrated with myself. I’ve got to find a way to keep going, stay light for the guys and be the best leader for this team that I can be.” “It’s tough. I just want it so bad. It’s hard to tone down that aspect. When it’s something I expect out of myself and something I can do – and do regularly in practice and have shown it – then a couple of times in the game where I miss and maybe I let it affect me too much. The best quarterbacks are the ones who can take the previous play and move on to the next. Guys make mistakes, guys miss throws, it’s how we bounce back from it that makes us who we are.”

Josh Allen is looking a lot more like the 2019 version
ngbills replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Pause it right as he is throwing it and it tells you all you need to know. Horrible mechanics, bad feet, hips dont follow. And yes every route was wide open and no rush. -
I am reading less about Allen is a bust and more Allen does not need to change a thing, its all on the OL. Allen is still the MVP front runner in my opinion, but he needs to fix his issues asap. Watch the film and do whatever he needs to do to get those feet right. Daboll needs to get some quick slants to force the issue a bit.

Milano has been excellent this year.
-
Josh has said himself he is not playing well. Can we stop with the "he is fine" its all on the OL? The OL has played ok not great. Allen is playing well below is expectations, more than the OL. You talk about watching the game. Go watch every throw. He is missing more than he should. I expect within a few weeks he will have this figured out and then you can watch the film for those games compare to the last two and it will be night and day with the same OL play. Its ok to admit he is off. It happens.
-
Not allowed. Josh is always perfect. You can say he is a legit MVP candidate, could lead the team to a super bowl victory, but point out some bad plays and your a hater who is clueless because it is the OL's fault Josh is throwing off his back foot or his hips arent following through. Obviously right.
