  1. I think we all thought that too about Howard. I guess if there was another one to pursue, I wouldn't mind taking a crack at Freeman. I think he could rejuvenate his career here and would be a good compliment to Singletary.
  2. Which FA RB do you see us going after? Because we are so thin at RB, I think Yeldon stays. Not a guaranteed lock yet, but I think his chance are good.
  3. Exactly. I think we'll find a way to bring him in cheaper than what he's expecting since his market value should be low
  4. Melvin Gordon? I think we'll definitely address this during FA period
  5. Maybe this should be pinned cuz we know this will be brought up again after the draft and throughout the off-season
  6. Agreed. Not sure how or why this is happening before the draft Plus, with most people working from home now, why not spend all day on TBD
  7. Come on now. I'm tired of hearing this. We're still a growing team. We need to aim for taking the division this year and get at least a playoff win. Of course SB is the ultimate goal, but we gotta be realistic. Baltimore and KC are still dominant teams who could both make deep playoff runs. We still have lots to prove before we can say "SB or bust." And trust me, I hate the Patriots just as much as anyone on this board, but we still have to worry about them. They still have a great defense and TB was just an average QB last year and we still couldn't jump that hurdle. We all know what BB is capable of, no matter who is their QB, i.e. Matt Cassel. I'm very optimistic that the division is indeed ours this year, but it won't be easy. And I already don't like that expectation/prediction from the NFL "experts" that the division is ours this year, cuz we all know that they're always wrong.
  8. Definitely sad to see him go. I know it was inevitable, but I still didn't wanna see it happen. He had a great presence in this organization.
  9. This would be a big move that no one sees coming. I just don't think it's gonna happen. Especially after he got paid and performed last year.
  10. This was my first thought. I don't wanna see him wearing that damn fish uniform
  11. My jaw just dropped as soon as I seen this. I can't believe the Texans just traded away the best receiver in the NFL. And AZ gets to keep their 1st round pick. Mind blown. I wonder if we even made an attempt to get him
  12. Yeah, I don't agree with this at all. It's so bad in so many ways. I do see your point about them potentially gaining more than 15 yards. And then on the flip side, if they don't convert, then the returning team will get the ball on their opponents 25 yard line. Typically, whether an onside kick is successful or not, the team who recovers the ball generally has it near the 40-yard line to mid-field. If they're going to go away from the onside kick, then they need to come up with another scenario for this. Either way, just keep the onside kick. It's pretty uncommon to see an injury happen during an onside kick.
  13. 100% accurate. If they knew the rules, that play would've went a very different way. Instead of backing up, that ref should've just threw a flag immediately, for an illegal forward pass. By him backing up, he sees it as a fumble, which demonstrates his lack of knowledge of the rule book.
  14. I agree. But that's the point, no one can argue with them on their decisions if they stick to the rule book. We don't have to like or agree with their decisions. Especially as fans, we always wants things to go our way, but refs can cover their own behinds if they make the right calls based on the rules.
  15. To me, giving yourself up means to put a knee on the ground or just lay down.
  16. I don't like the notion of "common sense" prevailing. There are rules for a reason. If a ref doesn't know how or what to do in any given situation, refer to the black and white (rule book, not their stripes). Just like here in the military, if we do exactly what instructions and publications say, then no one can tell us we're wrong. They need to be consistent and the only way to do that is follow the rules. It's that simple. Now with that said, it should've been counted as an illegal forward lateral in the end zone, thus, awarding us a safety.
  17. Agreed. What we've endured over the last few decades and comparing what they've done compared to our other GM/Coaches of the past, it's hard not to put them over the 90 mark.
