  1. I have no clue whatsoever what the saints actually need... some teams just disappear from my radar around draft season and the saints are always on that list.

Edit: I guess they need a LB.

JOK being at least the 4th off ball LB taken is a huge surprise. I’m voting for him for the Bills if he’s still there.

Ain't that the truth!  As for the simulator, after they made the 49ers trade to #3, it took me 3 runs before they drafted a QB there.  I'm still addicted to it anyway.

I like PFN’s cause trades are free, but their player value is so different.

I can go on one site and get someone like Israel Mukuamu in the 7th round, but on another site he’s gone by 93. Just hard to know whose more plugged in.....

For instance, Lance Zeirline at NFL.com had Tyson Campbell from Georgia as one of his top 5 CB’s. I like Campbell, and i usually trust LZ, but most everyone else has him at like 10th CB.

Browns sometimes shake things up. I figured I could wait for the second round and maybe get him but with no trades etc etc on this one I figured I’d jump quickly

I like it. Most people had Jordyn Brooks in the 2nd-3rd range last year before the Hawks grabbed him in the 20’s... (not sure that’ll work out for them, but it gives the scenario legitimacy.)

I know this doesn't mean anything, but for some mindless fun this morning, I played with the mock draft simulator and just kept doing draft after draft. In just about every scenario, Williams landed in the BIlls laps in the 2nd round.

Yeah, i have no idea what to expect. I think he’ll be in the 30–45 range, but could slip higher or lower depending on team preference. I wouldn’t expect him to be at 61, but it isn’t completely out of the question.

I have given up any pretense of thinking those simulators project where players are going to go- when the draft networks (whose stuff is usually pretty solid) top rated TE last year went undrafted it just opened my eyes to the idea that nobody really knows anything outside of the top 15 or so picks. Even more so this year.

With the 26th pick in the 2021 mock draft the Cleveland Browns select Chazz Surratt, linebacker.

Who doesn’t want a former quarterback turned linebacker right? There’s some room to grow here but we feel in today’s NFL Surratt is going to be an elite pass coverage kind of guy. We want to run a lot of coverage looks with our 3 safeties and we like what Chazz brings in those packages.

Might be jumping early but I like his fit with this specific team.

@Virgil and the Baltimore Ravens are on the clock

woah! First bombshell of the draft.

I think it’s very unlikely he goes before JOK, but he does feel like a player who teams could fall in love with/could shoot up the board leading up to the draft.

Dear @Virgil. I know I have not been involved much lately, and skipped last 2 year´s mocks, but just because  I like your dynamic a lot, I would like to propose myself, for the ¨waiting¨ back up list, for any team that doesn´t show up, assuming their announced back ups are already playing this mock or not available in the moment (>5 hrs) you need them. Thanks in advance whatever your answer comes down to... let's all have fun!

Are you like a Ryan Fitzpatrick type backup, or more of a Nathan Peterman?

I just don't see edge making a big enough impact at 30, if a guy they really like starts falling Beane will make a move. All of these picks won't make our roster.

I can see that. Personally I just don’t see any positions where a rookie has a higher than 40% chance of starting day one. Even at CB I think Levi or Dane would have an edge and the rookie would likely get rotational reps and then a chance to start down the line.

I think getting high upside guys who have a chance to get some snapped but aren’t going to be relied on to start is the way to go.

That being said, I’m fine with Edge or CB, whichever is best bet at 30. I still feel like trading out is our best bet.

I like Etienne out of the backfield, but CB is the correct pick here IMO. I want Edge more than anything, but not this late in RD1. RBs will not help us score that many more points and the touches they get in our pass heavy offense isn't enough bang for the buck at this point. CB2 is our big weakness and should help get the D off the field sooner and limiting points against us.

There are a couple Edge players I’d be happy with at 30, and a couple CB’s I think are likely. RB I’m meh on. Take it or leave it. If they do take one, they better have a plan to recoup value for Moss or Singletary before the draft ends.

With the 18th pick in the 2021 TSW Mock Draft, the Miami Dolphins select EDGE Gregory Rousseau, Miami

Our GM watched our team lose a season ending win-and-in game to the Buffalo Bills in which we gave up 56 points. FIFTY-SIX!

Stopping the elite Buffalo passing offense is a priority for us. We like our cornerback room, but if we're going to beat the Bills and claim the AFC East crown, we need to make Josh Allen uncomfortable. We like Andrew Van Ginkel and Emmanuel Ogbah, but let's be honest: that's not exactly a murderer's row attacking off the edges. We need more juice, more explosiveness. at 6'7" and 265 lbs, and with speed and bend, Gregory Rousseau offers exactly that. You simply can't teach the size and athleticism that this man possesses.

While Rousseau opted out of the 2020 college season, he posted an eye-popping 15.5 sacks in 2019. He is raw and can fairly be called a boom-or-bust prospect. Luckily, Rousseau played in our own backyard at Miami U. Our scouts had the chance to watch him up close and personal on multiple occasions, and we feel comfortable with the risk. We feel quite confident that we are adding the best pure pass rusher in this class.

Running back and wide receiver are still needs for us, but we believe strongly in positional value in the first round, and we believe in taking the best player available. At pick 18, both of those beliefs align in the form of Gregory Rousseau.

@whatdrought and the Washington Football Snyders are on the clock.

Josh Allen and Stefon Diggs like your CB room as well.... ;)

The Eagles have made new Coach Brandon Staley's decision for him by taking Farley.  Deep down, he knows he has to protect his franchise QB, especially with guys behind him named Chase and Sticks if he goes down.  So, with the lucky 13th selection in the 2021 NFL Draft, the San Diego Chargers of LA select:

    Rashawn Slater, OT/G, Northwestern.

While the Chargers also liked Vera-Tucker here, they went with Slater who is slated to start at G, but will slide to the blind side quick if a guy named Pipkin isn't up to the task.

@CNYfan and the Minnesota Vikings are on the clock.

I think LAC would be thrilled to get one of Slater or Sewell.

Lot of good rd 2-3 CB talent in this draft, you’ll get someone there!

They have a first round pick at lt in jonah williams and just signed riley rieff for rt.  They have improved protection for Burrow and I think Chase is a logical pick that I could see happening.

Reports out today are that Burrow is pushing for Chase as well.  Obviously it's smoke screen season but that's a management thing not so much players.

I think they could easily slide Williams inside and improve two spots with one shot.

Burrow can’t throw to Chase if he’s on his back/IR.

Again, I think it could go either way, I just think I’d take the Tackle/want my team to take the T in this deep WR class.

With the 5th pick in the 2021 NFL Draft the Cincinnati Bengals select Ja'Marr Chase... Wide Receiver... LSU.

Chase was part of the most prolific offense in college football history along with who slinging the rock around? That's right, Joe Burrow. They already have an established chemistry. This pick gives Burrow a guy he can immediately click with and cause opposing defenses problems.

@Logic and the Miami Dolphins are on the clock.

I like Chase to the Bengals just for the chemistry, but i don’t think it’s the right move.

The drop off from Chase to say, Terrace Marshall, or Rashod Bateman at the top of the second is much less significant than Slater/Sewell to Eichenburg/Mayfield in the second.

Especially when you consider need to protect Burrow being the priority, their relative good shape at WR, positional value, and their lack of LT.

All that to say, I get the pick, but I think most people wouldn’t like them passing on a T.

He'd play outside in a 4-3 so I'm not sure it would affect Edmunds much, if at all. He's a little raw but looks like he could be a good pursuit backer.

I think he could play inside as well. Their 2 LB setup really leads to the LB’s being somewhat interchangeable.

  12. The move back to six doesn’t make any sense to me. They’re going to be spending 2 first round picks on whoever they take at 6. Additionally, you could have sat at 12 and waited to see how the board falls.

Assuming they’re not in the QB game, they are probably looking at any of the two OL, 3 WR’s, Pitts, or Parsons.

Right now we know that QB’s are going too 3. Say Lawrence, Wilson, and Fields.

That leaves 2 picks where their primo prize could be gone. So they either want to move up again (unlikely, and why not just call ATL to begin with instead of messing with PHI) or they are alright with several of those guys (at least 3).

The question remains- why trade back up to 6 at this point in the offseason? They could have waited and seen what happened and pick 6 may come up with 2-3 of their guys on the board and they can wait to trade up till 8 or 9.
