Underutilization of Flex scheduling
wagon127 replied to wagon127's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That's not the point of what I'm trying to talk about. Its that, if Baltimore and Houston aren't good enough to get flexed to Sunday night, then Buffalo never will be. I will not be watching any other game at 1:00 except the Buffalo one. -
Issues with WGR/Radio.com app?
wagon127 replied to Bills fan since 87's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The rewind feature doesn't work that great. I can never figure out how far back I'm rewinding. I thought in the first week, it would tell me what time I rewound back to, but now it doesn't. And I just have to guess what I think an hour is or whatever..... -
Bills should move CHRIS BROWN to Scouting Department
wagon127 replied to kirkwoodus13's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If Chris Brown hosted one bills live, instead of John murphy, I would actually listen to the show. Seems to have a good balance of being a company guy, but still connecting better with fans. -
Would you want the Bills to sign Tom Brady?
wagon127 replied to BillsFan8083's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Maybe Rex Ryan will come back, and he can play on his team! I'm not ready for Brady vs. the Patriots..... I bet he goes to the Redskins or something, knowing he wouldn't play against the Patriots for 4 years. -

Brady went 9-7 in his 2nd year, and missed the playoffs. -

That will be Brady's Jinx. He will come here, and all of a sudden start to play terrible. To be honest, he isn't even playing that great now. Let him just go to the NFC. -
Underutilization of Flex scheduling

I'm comfortable with that for this case. I went out of my way to watch Seahawks vs. 49ers last week. -
There's a reason a lot of fantasy football leagues draft QB's much later then they used to. They realized there isn't much of a difference week to week between the 4th best QB, and the 15th best QB. I only bring up fantasy because we are talking about Stats. Decision making, and completing drives when it matters, is the difference between good QBs and bad QBs. Allen is still a work in progress, and he needs at least the full 2020 season before you start thinking its never going to work.

Big announcement at NEF 11 am today
wagon127 replied to Hammers Lot's topic in Off the Wall Archives
When U2 came to the stadium, ticket sales were so low, they just threw more and more free tickets to radio stations to fill the stadium. I on the other hand, just waited till the day of the show, and got tickets for $20. Not that I'm a big U2 fan, but I had enough of an interest to pay $20 to see them. -
This is why there are two days on the weekend. You can have pancakes or waffles on Saturday. And French Toast on Sunday!

I feel a good indicator about how the Flexible scheduling still favors larger markets, over a more exciting matchup is this week. The Texans and Ravens would clearly be a more fun game to watch. More explosive offenses and better Winning records. Yet we are stuck with Bears vs. Rams. The Texans and Ravens are on during 1:00. I know CBS can protect games, but they already would have protected the Patriots and Eagles. So I highly doubt the Bills will ever get flexed into a Sunday night game. You would need a perfect storm of a downright terrible matchup on SNF, and the Bills having a good matchup against a large market team. The week 16 "flex" isn't really a flex. The game never had a time assigned to it, and there were 3 empty slots on Saturday for our game. In 2007, NBC didn't have any games assigned to their lineup until 2 weeks prior, and that's how the Bills vs. Patriots was able to be flexed so easily that year.

Bills/Pats game time set
wagon127 replied to Bills fan since 87's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Agreed. The bills have 4 away games in the Mountain or Western Time zones next year. So most likely will have a few 4:00 games. I like 4:00 time slots. Plenty of time to get house work done before the game, and still early to bed after. -
Not starting loud equipment before 9am, seems like common courtesy for any neighbor. Sundays should say, no loud equipment being run, between 1pm-4pm.

Bills/Pats game time set
wagon127 replied to Bills fan since 87's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Since all the games are on the same network, and all 3 are nationally televised, it made sense just to put the West Coast game at 8:30, and the Bills vs. Patriots at 4:30. -
Bills/Pats game time set
wagon127 replied to Bills fan since 87's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I mean I get it. If I had to choose between what is more likely, a Patriot collapse, or the bills developing their offense properly. I would chose the patriots scenario. This is the message board of dreams. -

This was never assigned to cbs. Nfl network had first dibs on the games. -
Bills/Pats game time set

They only had 5 games to choose from. 3 of the other games were worse... I suppose I'm more confident that the pats might collapse, then the bills fixing their problems. -

Awesome, now lets hope theres no more then a game separation between us and the pats, and make it the division title championship!- 66 replies

I don't have time to listen to a 3 hour commercial, to get me to buy tickets and merchandise. I already buy that stuff. Give me Jeremy, Howard, Mike and Chris any day. Tell me the way it really is. Even Sal is starting to lean more toward the Murphy and Taster style, as opposed to being a nice medium between One bills live, and the rest of the station.
