NFL Week #18 - Around the NFL Saturday edition
Motorin' replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
It wasn't blind in that sense. But the illegal blind side block rule says you can't block with force towards your own goal line. Your only allowed to block with force in the direction your team is advancing the ball. -

Massive blind side block on that return right in front of the refs. I guess it only gets called in big games if it's Cody Ford half assing it. -

If they didn't suck and squander their opportunities, that could have made it 31-28. -

What Bengals & Chiefs fans are saying about the situation:
Motorin' replied to BigDingus's topic in The Stadium Wall
I've been reading up on this whole idea, and Buffalo's role in the growth of the mid-west. It's actually fascinating imo. Because of the prominence of the Erie Canal, and the linkage to the Great Lakes boats, most of the mid-west was settled through Buffalo... Celevland, Detroit, Chicago, Milwaukee, even most of Minnesota were settled by people from or people coming through Buffalo. During this period, Buffalo was considered the end of the East. Now one of the main reasons why people say that Buffalo is the mid-west (and there are people outside of Buffalo who think this) is because of the similarity of the Buffalo accent to the Chicago accent. What they don't realize is that the classic "da Bears" mid-west accent originated in Buffalo/ Rochester & Syracuse, and they got it from us. But Buffalo is not the Mid-West... However, the Mid-West is more influenced by WNY and Buffalo than anything else. Thanks for listening to my Ted Talk! -

Gronk was on Kay Adams' pod cast and mentioned that he hadn't donated yet. And he asked her live how much money he should donate between 5-15k. He said he'd give whatever amount she said. And so Kay Adams was actually the one who suggested $6,900. Although she soon mentioned that she was just repeating what her producer was saying in her ear.

Updated scenario for scheduling to be voted on Friday
Motorin' replied to The 9 Isles's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yeah, if the Ravens win and it makes the the AFC North results incomplete due to the canceled game, it should be on a neutral field if the same logic applies for the championship game. -

It's Channing Crowder speaking, not our Crowder... Who cares what that guy has to say. -
Potential decision made for Championship Game location
Motorin' replied to Ra-cha-cha's topic in The Stadium Wall
The NFL appears to be saying that since the Bills and Bengals both played the same amount of games, it doesn't matter. The record determines the seeding... But the fairest thing in that scenario, imo, is a neutral field. -

No, bc if KC loses this week they couldn't have been the 1 seed even if the Bills were given an L for the Bengals game. The neutral field senario only applies when it's two teams that played a different amount for games AND both could have been the higher seed depending on the outcome of the canceled game. -
I think the neutral site should also apply for the Bengals v Ravens playoff if the Ravens win Sunday. Why? Because it's a fair way to deal with an indeterminate outcome. We don't know who won the AFC North because the season was incomplete. So rather than deciding by an arbitrary flip of the coin, play on an even field and give each team half of the tickets. That's also why the neutral site AFCCG makes sense, because the most likely senario is we won't know who actually won the #1 seed. It's incomplete. You give the bye to the team that's leading, because there is only one to give. But if two teams face each other that could have won the #1 seed based on an incomplete result, play on an even field and give each team half of the seats.
