  1. It' possible to trade him for an additional sixth rounder and then have two shots at getting Brady and not one.
  2. I meant that not always, but usually when Taylor steps up in the pocket, the middle has collapsed in front of him as well. So there is no room for him to step and throw, which is usually when he starts his jitterbugging trying to escape. Yesterday there plays when he had some decent time but that was because Dennison kept 8-9 guys in. There were only 2-3 out on the pattern so 2-3 guys were covering every receiver. Trent green mentioned this at least once. I just watched the first half again. He threw a ton of very good to great passes and he missed a few. He hit several players right on the dead run including Zay twice, Clay, Cadet, Shady and DT. Six times in one half he did something he cannot and never does. He threw to players who weren't open including a great third down pass to Clay over the middle for a first. He had an incredible third and long escape and dart to Shady on the run for a first. He threw one bomb which was a good pass and Zay seemed to not track it but it was right where it's either a TD or incompletion.
  3. There is no pocket to step up into. The Bills pocket collapses from the outside in. Often at the same time.
  4. Goff would be getting killed if he were on the Bills.
  5. Then the offense can just snap it with the play they had already called.
  6. This is a very, very good idea by McVay. He's terrific so far.
  7. Well I don't know where he gets most of his anyway. He quotes acronyms that look like the gobbledygook that replaces cuss words.
  8. For the Bills, and the NFL, it's usually all about fundamentals and execution, so in order to beat the Patriots we need to keep it simple and do two things: 1] Stop doing what we're doing and 2] start doing what they're doing.
  9. It reads... "NFL comparable: Nathan Peterman."
  10. I was at the game and was pissed that I couldnt throw anything at the TV and didn't have the arm strength to reach the jumbotron.
  11. Totally agree. Have to hand it to some degree to McD for going back to it after it backfired so badly the week before. But the last few games, when the defense was getting gashed, he didn't really do much to try to take away the pass or the run, he played his weak zone with some blitzing but the blitzers weren't getting through and Rivers was throwing to wide open WR anyway.
  12. We blitzed a lot against the Chargers and got repeatedly burnt
  13. Really? Your wife? Married to you? No pain threshold? Even after showing her statistics that since 1978, NYC wives have lost 52.71% of arguments with their husbands?
  14. If that was your intention it was a solid effort.
  15. The Raiders played very well the game before. People thought we were going to get killed by Carr who just rediscovered Amari Cooper coming off a 200 yard game. My point is only that you're implying that POST Bills, all of the Broncos, Falcons, Raiders showed they were in some sort of freefall versus the possibility they were playing very well up until that and the Bills caused part of that downfall by beating them up. Like somehow after their 8 straight collective wins but before they played the Bills they started that downfall. That makes no sense to me. I'm not saying the Bills are a very good team. They're not. They're a 500 team. But they should get credit for their wins.
  16. That is how I saw it, although I put part of Dennison's blame on McDermott for being overly conservative himself and not insisting we do more of what TT does well and less of what TT does poorly.
  17. Most NFL teams, including good ones, go through slow stretches. My point is you don't want to give credit to teams that played well before we played them because they were lousy, even though they were undefeated. Do teams not get credit for beating the Chargers when they were apparently lousy even though they weren't?
  18. His problem was with Ralph. He loved Buffalo. People say he would never do stuff based on nothing but a false premise.
  19. JSP is okay. He's like our retarded little brother.
  20. He signed BFO (Brock Friggin' Osweiler) three separate times, considering that Payton Lynch is Brock Osweiler with a little more mobility that doesn't help him.
  21. How can you say the Falcons were in a bad funk at the time? They were one of two unbeaten teams! The previous week the Broncos were one of few unbeaten teams. The Raiders came to Buffalo fresh off a game where they beat the Chiefs who were the hottest team in the league at that time and Derek Carr had returned from injury and threw for 417 yards.
  22. I was joking anyway. Dareus all but got cut because he was 15 minutes late for a preseason game he wasn't participating in.
  23. The complete opposite. I think it's essential. Also think that the punishment should fit the crime. I know that probably sounds crazy to you but that seems kinda fair to me.
  24. He looked pretty fast to react to plays and attack yesterday several times. That ability he displayed in college on pass plays as well as run plays and can cut .1 - .2 off your 40 time.
