They played good by their standards. Which isn't objectively "good". Still a liability running and JA as always made them look better otherwise.

I felt like we were getting dominated running the ball through 3 quarters mostly in the trenches. Granted we didn't have RBs.. but I don't think they had a great overall game based on that drawback. (in my very uneducated opinion on OL evaluation) Felt like the lowly lions were dominating in the trenches when we were on offense through most of the game too. We commented on it a lot in the game. Didn't see a good OL game IMO.

Sure. But so does the 49ers. Daboll looked so lackluster today it feels often like Allen may be winning in spite of Daboll but maybe it's the other way around (or they're both overachieving in spite of the rest of the offense.. easier answer) Kyle Shanahan is a true offense whisperer though. Ryans MVP year, Garrappolo's breakout, Beathard, Mullins. Great resume so far. Regardless I want Allen with the best QB coach and QB friendly OC possible. Maybe we have it. I like what I see out of San Fran though. Who is our QB coach? Do we like him?

I was initially going to post about going after the 49ers OC but it looks like Kyle Shanahan has been running the show with duel duties. He overacheived with Garappolo (IMO). Got another setback this year and has over acheived with Nick Meullins (who I think has a future in the NFL somewhere). Like I said I wanted to post to see what we could get out of whoever is making the QB friendly system in San Fran work.. but if it's Kyle Shanahan all the way I don't see an option. But if y'all know somebody from there that we can bring into Buffalo as a QB or OC candidate.. there's something in the water in San Fran. I'd like Mullins at some point in Buffalo as a backup as well but that's daydreaming. They'd obviously be best served with the 2 younguns given Garrappolo's injury history. Barks is my boy going forward for that spot. But I wouldn't be surprised if Mullins is getting traded to start somewhere or is signed to be a starter at some point in his career. Great win against the Hawks.

Dude this is 4 weeks too late. Nobody's brought up Rosen as the better pick in forever. I don't want to measure Allen by how much a bust Rosen might look. By this point I just want the right Josh to be good by the right Josh's standards.

Lamar Jackson looks pretty darn good so far. His starts prorated out are the best of the bunch. but yeah I agree with this.. Lamar's easily on the best team.

I think Tre has played and last game played perfectly fine. Sure he could play the ball better on top of already being excellent in coverage but we're asking for Revis island at that point and he's not too far from that anyway. Consider Gilmore getting beat and giving up open catches vs Tre whose opponents need to ask circus catches from their WRs to get them going. Tre never makes it easy on anyone and that's huge.

Mostly McDermott bashing. Probably the hottest of takes was declaring his inability to get 60+ yards in under a minute at the end of the first half the final straw. I mean I get if you think he's not the best coach but HOT take if that's reason why.

Ford's the only guy on the team that gets the bigger picture here. throw the game away so we can draft a better RB in the draft to replace him.

Same. Rosen looks pretty terrible though. I haven't second guessed the Allen pick since he came back from injury so I don't really care HOW terrible Rosen is playing.
