We have a great secondary, something the SB teams, and the MNF teams lacked. Jags had a great secondary last year and made waves with a poor quarterback. Secondaries can stop these teams. We saw it against the Patriots. One thing I can't fault McDermott for is his prowess there and I think that's clearly an important group to maintain and invest in.

Having a crapload of cap space doesn't mean dirt if we don't use it well, draft well, etc. It's not a fix all solution, it's simply something that doesn't hinder us. A team with a ton of cap that has a lot of young talent drafted to re-sign is in much much much better shape.

I.. harbor no feelings towards the man. Not a POS. Just knew he wasn't cut out to be an above average defender with a rebuilding team.. wondering why he was even on there in the first place. Only thing I think about Vontae is it's pretty ****ing funny how he retired like he did.

Yep.. we got a long way to go on the offensive side to be balanced. I think we are one step behind a team like the Bears, a young roster that looks like it will only get better for the years. But it ain't easy getting that balance at the best possible level.

Yeah it's not like people didn't make mistakes in spades during that game. We saw mistakes, but we saw execution of the highest level tonight. If people don't like what part of the game was executed perfectly.. than.. whatever. I like watching good football lol.

That means people aren't dropping picks or dropping balls. Picks get dropped constantly. Defenders forget to look to score when they get it. We saw so many phases of football executed perfectly. Not every part of the game, but these are not perfect teams executing their strengths flawlessly. That's rare in a game and you gotta appreciate their excellence. Of course teams have weaknesses every team does. SB broncos executed defense perfectly and played ugly at QB

I'd go back in time for Jim Schwartz if we're playing this game. But Lynn is a good coach. One thing that frustrates me is we don't promote our coordinators. Sure it's a bad look to fire head coaches as often as we do. But how do you maintain consistency? Promote your coordinators that have been or are head coaching candidates anyway especially if you're the Pegulas and have no clue what you're doing

Yeah that's the offensive juggernaut side with no defense. I think KC still has a better D than Steelers, are better in all facets. Barring another Beli SB defense reemerges and playoff TB12 I got Chiefs over Patriots in a lucky tossup championship game. Still think the AFCS winner will be overlooked given they will be the one balanced team in the AFC playoffs

They were killing it in regular season last year too. I guess Bortles is simply inconsistent on a season to season basis.. not even games. Super weird. But the other AFCS teams have better QBs and great defenses would love to see the winner make a run (not the colts)

DEFENSE IS HALF THE GAME. Just because you saw a MNF shootout doesn't mean a more balanced team is better AT HALF THE GAME than the other. The better defensive teams always make the runs in the playoffs.. that's why the NFC is loaded right now they have offensive juggernauts with good running, passing, and defense to boot. I mean we don't have to be dog**** on offense absolutely that kills us. But the teams that are dog**** on defense ain't gonna win either.

Competitive advantage is key. How do the Jags slug it up with us only to move on and shootout with the Steelers? They have the ability to make a few stops whereas Steelers never do. Think Titans or Texans will be the same. NFC is just so much better. They're not one sided teams. Rams need to get healthy and the Saints have a great defense.

The juggernauts get exposed in the playoffs absolutely. That's why I have Rams or Saints all the way. Offensive juggernauts with great defensive potential once the Rams get healthy on that end. But Chiefs are no slouches on D. They get shredded by great offenses and I don't see a single balanced AFC team tbh. That's why I can see the Titans or Texans.. whoever wins that division making upsets like the Jags did. Absolutely. I think the Cheifs are lacking in secondary, really should have kept Peters baggage and all. But still a stout front 7 and have always been traditionally. Defense is huge in the post season when it's one and done.

We can appreciate a fun offensive performance just like I appreciated a great defensive game like Bills V Titans. I like seeing games where teams are excellent at what they do and well matched. That's what happened today. Mahomeboy has nads the size of Jupiter.
