  1. While I don't think the Bills will go win less, I agree with all of his points. Everything which he has adressed has merit and for the first time ever, the Bills don't do anything for me anymore. They seem like a team in total chaos from an owner who has no real clue (or maybe he does) about how to build up a team to a GM decision fraught with cronyism (was Marv Levy really even close to the best GM candidate out there (no experience/knows Ralph)? to a coaching decision on someone with a bad track record (1 good seaon that was built on luck at Chicage). Again, was Dick Jaroun really the best Head Coaching candidate out there (I say No Way). To the team as a whole with major question marks on both Offense and Defence and a draft that showed a team with no sense of trying to make major gains, just improving positions which could pan out, but missing out on the key questions (QB, OL, DL). I have never been so down on this team and fear they will be a laughingstock this year and in the immediate future. I also have a hard time rooting for a guy like Willis MaGahee when I'm not sure he still wants to be here and seems to becoming more and more of a punk. We'll see. Good Luck! and the Bills sorely need it!!!!!!!!
  2. The Bills have the worst QB situation in the league. Let's see a 1st round draft pick who looks lost, a journeyman QB who is, at best OK, but onlt periodically and a #3 QB from another team who may win the starting position. pathetic, just pathetic!!!
  3. As long as Ralph is alive, the Bills are fine. The minute he pases away, the Bills will be sold and moved, especially as the league goes to the new revenue model where more and more of the teams revenues are tied to player salaries Sad, but True!!!
  4. I was asked to evaluate a players ability on the field SLICK, not his personal life. Go take a chill pill dude and calm down already!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  5. Troy Smith or Brady Quinn would be great. If the Bills pick as high as I think they will, it will immediately move this team into a chance to compete more quickly. If a 3rd string QB beats out Holcomb and JP, it's going to be a long, long, long year, especially with that offensive line which is truly offensive!!!
  6. Totally agree. It's not the player, it's where he was picked. Poor value at that point (#8) in the draft to make that move
  7. All major writers who make this their living (Clayton, Banks, King, Kiper, etc) all have stated that the Bills reached for lower rated talent. After watching the Bills approach (what approach?) yesterday, I am convinced that this team is/will be a perenial loser for the forseeable future. It really showed how the team has no sense of what is happening, or what their strategy should be. First, to pick a Safety #8 when he was projected to go much lower was assanine, Not only could they have gotten a comparable player later in the draft, but they had teams clammoring to deal (Denver, Philly). The Bills sucks right now, They need players. period. To not make a deal doesnt make sense. Oh, and by the way, Levy picked up Bowens in FA. So now he goes out and picks up another player at the same position. Seems like someone who doesn't now what he is doing. Second, trading picks just because you have a friendship with Chicago was another major mistake. Again, we need players. To lose draft picks again makes no sense. I could see if the guy was highly rated, but he was rated a 3rd, 4th round talent. Call me crazy buy I think Levy missed a MAJOR opportunity to upgrade this team yesterday. I think losing the 2nd and 3rd round picks plus the loss of additional picks that were offered to trade down were HUGE tactical and strategic mistakes which the Bills may NEVER recover from.. The players the Bills drafted are not the point. They may actually be good. The point is you had a chance to make some major inroads to the talent base and you failed. Miserbly. Everyone I was with yesterday was in shock with what Levy did. Heck, even ESPN could not even say anything. They were all in shock. The overall perspective is that the Bills could have had similar or the same players plus much, much more. Terrible approach and a HUGE mistake. This team is argueably the worst in the league. With what Miami and the Jets are are doing plus NE being consistently better, the Bills had no shot and with the new rules for revenue sharing, they will start to fall further and further behind and will not even be relevant by the time the next CBA comes up. They will be the Pittsburgh Pirates or Kansas City Royals of the NFL. Oh, and one final word. For Levy to even suggest that the QB position will be better is a joke. To even think that Greg Nall can start is beyond ridiculous. Goos Luck Levy. You failed as a coach since anyone could have won with the talent the Bills had back then and you are even worse as a GM.
  8. I am also embarrassed. Levt, Wilson, Jauron should be renamed the 3 stooges. Pathetic, absolutely pathetic. I'm done. This is the last straw for me. Totally an organization with no sense of itself whatsoever!!!!!!!!!!!!
  9. AGREED!!! Well said. I'm thinking of doing the same thing
  10. They have had their chance for the last 5 years. Be honest with yourself and recognize they will be down for some time until they get people in that are capable. I'm not sure that will happen until after the team is sold and moved based on what has been reported lately.
  11. are you out of your mind with the team we have today!!! I want some of what you are smoking....
  12. He's right on. We suck and will be even worse this year (4-12). We don't deserve any prime-time attractions based on the last 5 years performance and based on what the Bills organization is today, we certainlty don't deserve to be in prime-time
  13. Totally agree. I predict the same record sanf the #1 pick in the draft, truely a team with no future and no sense of itself
  14. I could not agree more. I have basically given up. As a Bills fanatic for 35 years, my family cannot believe what I am saying, but you can't deny the facts. This organization stinks from the top down with no hope of being competitive anytime soon. Is it the owner, or just an overall organizational malaise? Who knows and at this point, who cares!! We stink and will continue to smell until they bring in people who really know what to do. All of the people on this site you keep showing blind loyalty need to look closer. If there was hope, I would be the first to say it and I have lived and died with the Bills for many, many years. But I just see an organization with no sense of itself from the owner, to the GM, to the coach, to the players. What is the strategy. What moves have been made to make us better? Why didn't we pursue upgrading the OL, DL and QB? Instead, we sign second and third string players!!!Do we have a coach who knows how to win? Do we have a GM who knows what he is doing? I love Marv levy, but even as a coach he was somewhat questionable given the talent he had. Was he really the best we could do for a GM? Who know!!! I wish I could end my e-mail with my usual Go Bills!! but it rings hollow given what has happened!
  15. Totally agree. I think the Bills need a playmaker at QB and Losman is not it, regardless of the OL. I would actually start to get excited again if they got Cutler. I saw him play and he reminds me of Jim Kelly. The Bills need a turnaround and it starts at QB. I also agree we should have gone after Culpepper or Brees, but idf we could get Cutler, or even Linehart, it would be a start. As it stands today, you're looking at 3-13 with no hope and I am about to give up after 30 years of being a Bill;s fanatic. Have lost hope unless they turm it around soon.
  16. I totally agree with you. Unless things change soon, I have lost most hope. How the hell can we not make Mawae , Pete Kendall or Jon Runyan our first signing. We go out and sign a TE foir $10MM. WTF I still like the girl in the picture. She rocks!
  17. No way. I think he will be a great pro. See the Florida game as a good benchmark!
  18. I would be thrilled. While I think the Bills nedd to address the lines, they need a QB. This guy is the real deal. He has size, a cannon for an arm, a quick release and great presence on the field. He also has tremendous poise and strong leadership skills (see the Florida game). Also, he did not have the top flight talent that Leinhart had and I think would be a fixture at QB for years. Reminds me of another Bills QB named Kelly. We'll see what happens.
