  1. I think you make a lot on sense. I totally agree with addressing both lines and, while I struggle with the Peters issue, I'm not convinced he is the answer and if there is a little drop-off without him, but help us to build up other parts of the team. I am all for it. In watching all the games this year, he didn't look that great and made a lot of mistakes and in my opinion, did not deserve the Pro Bowl nod. We desperately need a DE, C, OLB , DT and TE as well as a backup experienced QB and you have addressed all of that and the trading of Peters make filling the other holes possible. Now, we have to draft properly and make the best FA moves which is another issue, but in concept, this works for me. Good post...
  2. Are you out of your mind!!! We will probably not beat a team with a winning record this year and will most probably also go 0-6 in the division, without Tom Brady! and with the Jets and Dolphins both showing readical improvement vs us sleepwalking through another season. If we do not make serious changes, you can expect far worse performance in the future with a much tougher schedule
  3. I love John Gruden. However, I don't think he is going anywhere. Unfortunately though, he is exactly what the Bills need. A no-nonsense, intense, innovative coach with a burning desire to win and a proven track record for success. If we could only be so lucky...
  4. Totally agree. Any counter-arguement is moronic
  5. Great post. Totally agree
  6. Totally disagree. Coaching outweighs execution in this case. If the ball was being given to Lynch, that play would never have happened and we would be talking about how gutsy the Bills were for coming back from a 14-3 hole to win the game by dominating the Jets in the 4th Quarter. Sorry, but while Losman deserves some of the blame, I give the lions share to jauron. This is as bad as the Miracle in the Meadowlands when the G-Men lost to the Eagles by bothibg a handoff to runn out the clock. pathetic!!!
  7. I was just telling my son that Jauron should put the final drive on Marshawn and the OL and challenge them to win the game. They were doing just that until the assanine play call. Sure, JP needs more awareness, but it is the coaches job to put players in a position to win. I have never seen a coach with less game day instincts as Jauron. Jauron may be intelligent, but he is not smart. That plays ranks right up there with the miracle in the Meadowlands when Parkway Joe Pisarcik fumbled the handoff to Larry Csonka and Herman Edwards ran it in to win the game for the Eagles. If this doesn't get Jauron fired, nothing will. I was actually glad that it happened to prove to Wilson what he needs to do. I feel that this loss is worse than all of the others combined since the game was basically over if we had continued to run out the closc. What a waste of a great performance by Marshawn and the "D" in the 4th Quarter. While I appreciate the arguement that they were trying to win the game by passing, you play to your teams strengths and that was NOT Losman passing the ball. Unless changes are made, I WILL NOT renew my Sunday Ticket. Having been a Bills Fan for over 30 years, it has gotten to the point that even a loss as pathetic as this does not eat at me like it would have before and it sounds reading this board like a lot of other good Bills Fans are fed up as well. Really Sad....................
  8. I could not agree with youyr more. I am totally fed up and am thinking about cancelling the Sunday Ticket for next year unless meaningful changes are implemented. That means getting a GM who knows football and a decent coach. Unfortunately, I'm afraid that as long as Ralph is alive, Bills fans will have to put up with a sub-standard product as all Ralph cares about is filling te stadium and making money; so his dream is to have 7-9 teams that offer promise to keep the fans coming back. Pathetic.........
  9. Exactly! Great point. The keys for them, other than Favre, were Kris Jenkins at NT, Calvin Pace at DE/LB and Alan Faneca at OG. Also, the drafing of Nick Mangold was a great move, one that I wanted the Bills to jump on along with D. Ferguson at OT.
  10. You are so right. The key is bringing in a coach who is organized and hates to lose along with someone who understands player personnel. Look what Atlanta did this year. They were in far worse shape than the Bills, but now may make the playoffs. Look at the moves that the Jets made which gave them instant credibility. Unless these changes are made, we are doomed to mediority at best. Really sad after the great run in the late 80's and 90's......
  11. You captured the scene at 1 Bills Drive perfectly. I can't believe we gave him a 3 year extension (Aghhhhhhhhh)!!!!!
  12. I could not have said it better myself. While the team played bad, we could still have won. Really hard to watch this team anymore!!!!!!!!!!!
  13. What game have you been wtching. I was at the jets game. We were dominated on both sides of the ball. We cannot run the ball (30th in the NFL in yeards per rush) and we cannot rush the passer (only 1 pressure when Favre was intercepted). Make no mistake , while I think we are getting better, we have a long way to go and will not be a playoff team until we can run teh ball and pressure the passer better
  14. Totally agree. That should be our first 3 picks in no particular order as we desperately meed all three, or through Free Agency. Until those needs are addressed, we aree going nowhere.
  15. I could not have put it better myself. This organization is totally happy with mediocrity as evidenced by the last 9 year performance and the signing of Jauron to a new contract. Unless this team starts to seriously try to win, it will wallow with average teams for eternity while wasting great young talents like Poz, Reed, Whiner, Edwards, etc. It makes me sick that we gave out huge contracts to players who are TOTALLY OVERRATED (see Schobel, Kelsey, Dockery, Walker). I'm afraid, my friend your post is right on. I hope that it changes, but you know what happens when you hope (the worst usually).....
  16. Is this a joke? Are you for real? Your post is probably the most nonsensical that I have ever read. It makes no sense whatsoever!!!! The whole point is to WIN games to not be in a tiebraker. Win the games against teams youa re supposed to beat, and you have a great chance of making the playoffs. Please re-thinh your logic as there is none in your posy!!!!
  17. and hardy and Ellis or "character" guys. Also, Evans is a punk who constantly complaims. I think every team has it's good and bad guys. We will be hard pressed to find the Bills of old
  18. The Players union said it was unfair to have a 17 round draft as it used to be, so it was changed a while ago to 7 rounds
  19. How can you possibly say that. Yes, the Bills won 7 games last year, but they were also 30th is Offense and 31st in Defense. This team has a long way to go They have a questionable QB that may or may not be the answer. They have an Offensive Line that is still questionable (see #30 Offense) that cannot run block and I am still not convinced that they can rush the passer based on the personnel that they have. I think they will be better thsi year, but it remains to be seen if they can make a solid leap forward. I think they still have a ways to go, especially when you have a Head Coach with a 43% winning %. Time will tell...............
  20. Great analysis which I totally agree with. Finally, someone with some sensibility. I am sooooooo tired of hearing that we have 3 good DE's. We don't. We NEED a good DE to rush the passer. The Giants showed what that can do. I'm NOT convinced that Stroud will make our DE's better. Stroud will do a great job inside, but we NEED someone on the edge to pressure the QB. I think this is our #1 NEED and we should fill it if the player is available to us. We should then draft the best WR when we pick next, then a solid TE and C. We also should look to try to move up in rounds 2 and 3 to obatin these players if possible while also looking at CB as well. If we can fill 4 of these 5 areas with 1 being a DE, I think the Bills can definitely challenge next year. I still think they need this year to get continuity and build the team up, but this is a critical draft this year. No more brain lapses like Donte Whitner. He is a good player, but we missed a great chance then to really improve our team. We can't afford to do that again. GO BILLS!!!!!!!!!
  21. Totally agree. Who are you going to replace him with? Why trade him and get someone of questionable or less value. I feel we keep him this year and see what happens with both him and Edwards. last time I looked, the Bills 'O" was 31st in the league. edwards also still has to prove himself, although I think he will. Time will tell...
  22. I've been hearing that since 1999. This team will NEVER compete at a championship level until we get a TRUE GM and an owner who really wants to win and take advantage of the accounting rules offered (Cash to the CAP is like saying we'll field a team, but never a winning one!!!!!)
  23. Totally agree with you. I also have been a lifelong fan of the Bills, but have lost interest. I feel that unless there is a major change in direction/management, this team is destined to be mediocre at best. It just seems to me that at this point, all Ralph cares about is making whatever money he can and Marv is his tool. I can't in good faith believe in this team anymore, nad to come out and publically state your cash to the cap strategy represents throwing in the towel to me. Lee Evans and other young stars will be gone when their contract are up. Expect 8 and 8 becasue you will never get much more than that out of this sad sack group of leaders.
  24. Totally disagree with you. First, Andre put up great numbers for many years.. Two, many of his yeards were over the middle so they were tough yeards and three, while I agree that he had a critical drop in that game, he also acknowledged after the game that it was the hardest he was ever hit. One game does not make a career my friend. he definitely deserves to go in. Check out his numbers, they are at the top of the house in many categories.
