If the Jags had a Franchise QB, they could of beaten the Patriots. The Bills need one. Twenty years of waiting, since Kelly retired, is enough.

How many Superbowl teams had "franchise" QB's and how many didn't. How many of those non franchise QBteams went to multiple Superbowls. Not Tampa, Baltimore, Chicago.

Nope watched him play, cannot read a defense and pads stats against sub par teams. Maybe CFL not NFL.

1st read is primary receiver, 2nd is to run. LJ and Tyrod are the same damn p!ayer, neither can read a defense. Both suck against quality defenses and pad stats against bad defenses.

You need a Franchise QB to be consistent Contender. One or two flukes don't change that. Plus I want a franchise QB. You know damn well Brady winning another ring.

Watched I watched some of his games and he would be lost with NFL defenses. Also BIG red flag when "quarterback" runs for more yards than he passes. He has ZERO touch and shaky accuracy.

1. Quarterback, does not have to be a Drew Brees type, just someone who can convert %60 of 3rd downs and score 24 points a game. Alex Smith, Kurt Cousins, Sam Bradford or Rookie. 2. Maintain a tight secondary, either resign Gaines or draft an acceptable replacement. I would resign Gaines at a reasonable rate if they can. 3. At least one dominant DT who can push the pocket. Hughes still has life on the edge but no interior pocket pressure last year. Maurice Hurst, Derrick Nnadi or Da'Ron Payne. 4. Franchise ILB, Preston Brown had a lot of tackles but made few impact plays.Take your pick of Rashaan Evans, Micah Kiser or Roquan Smith. a 100 + tackle, 4 sack, 4 INT player. If these are all filled the Bills will make the playoffs again and compete for the division. (WHAT DO YOU THINK??)

I don't think we trade for Alex Smith unless it's at garage sale prices, AJ McCarron is possible but same rules apply as to Alex Smith. Bradford should be cheap. I believe they are in on Petermen long term, as they played him in LA. And they did say they want a veteran presence in locker room so I doubt they would go with a rookie and Petermen, especially since the Bills made the playoffs this year.

Thread is more about QB than OC, so I thought it was worth a new thread as I believe new OC points the path they are taking in a QB.

What I read Daboll runs a power run game and a ball control short passing game. If they change QB's what player fits that style. Keep in mind McDermott said he prefers a veteran presence. Not my choice but I see them signing Sam Bradford to groom Petermen. Then using top 4 picks on front seven on defense. NOT MY CHOICE.
