  1. Lots of emotions last year. If things are OK with the management and the team, and Bease is good with everything, then it's all "water under the bridge" with me too. All I have left to say is work hard Cole and help the team to achieve its goal! Matt leads the team in solo tackles, and he also leads the team in TFL. This "statistical" talking point, that for some seem to think is a deficiency, is negligible to me. It averages 1 missed tackle per game. His positive impact both in TFLs, run stopping and pass defense far outweigh one miss a game. I'm not going to look up the stats and watch film, but I would say I imagine that of the 12 missed tackles (Pro Football Reference stats) there were plays that Matt flew at a guy and caused him to break off his play enough for another Bills defender to clean up the tackle. That's speculation on my part, but I think it's worth mentioning.
  2. I don't know. With all the old guys coming back maybe it's TO. LOL.
  3. Crank the visitor's room heat up all the way. Shock them!
  4. Glad I talked you into giving the "old man" a chance. OT: I'm going to bet that Cole Beasley's first catch will net more yards than OBJ gets this season. If that holds up, it was a good move.
  5. Josh in the Falcons game. For a comparison, Tua has never played a down in his entire life with a snowflake coming down.
  6. Cole Beasley was never on Tampa's 53. He was a PS player. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2022/10/06/bucs-terminate-the-practice-squad-contract-of-cole-beasley/ Beasley, 33, is a free agent if he decides to unretire.
  7. This guy stole my stats from my post yesterday. OK which one of you guys is Sneaky Joe? Tua had 3 INTs in his only cold weather game in Buffalo. Saturday will be by far, the worst weather he has ever seen. It hasn't been discussed much around here, but Josh (and the Bills) have taken turnovers that were high earlier in the season, and cut them WAY down. If they do that again Saturday, I could see this being a big win. My "nice to see" prediction is a Tre White INT. It's going to fire him up.
  8. His cost is $19K a week. Can you at least wait 1 week before you send him to a farm upstate?
  9. Buffalo Sabres are the highest goal scoring team in the NHL! Get 2 goalies next season and it's on.
  10. Stop it. Bills are 10-1 the last 3 seasons in Highmark Stadium after Thanksgiving. Cold and bad weather affects BOTH teams. Bills are better at it.
  11. LOL. Meant to post that in the Sabres Forum. 6 goals in the 3rd period. Anderson with the shutout.
  12. Man, you really don't like Beasley and Beane.
  13. There's a lot of bigger trolls on TBD/TSW.
  14. I did not know that. Does it go back to 3 call-ups?
  15. I knew Tua was from Hawaii and played for Alabama and I was going to look that up, but I had a luncheon to go to. Thanks for doing it and moving the conversation forward. My main point was not that Tua is incapable of winning a cold weather game (though he hasn't yet) it was in response to all these comments about the Bills and Josh Allen not being able to compete in bad weather against the Dolphins. Off Topic: When I was a kid my 2 older friends always had to be Gilbert and Rick, so I became a Rene Robert fan when playing pond hockey. I always think of that when I see your screen name! Go Bills! Go Sabres! Need the win against the Kings tonight. 0-0 as I type.
  16. I had to check Tua's game logs for how many games he played in "cold" weather. https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/T/TagoTu00.htm He has played in 3. 1st- 35 degrees in 2020 season in Buffalo. Defense subbed 2nd string later in game. 56-26. We all remember that beat down. 2nd- 43 degrees in last year's Titans game. Dolphins lost 34-3. Tua had a horrible game. 3rd- 45 degrees in 2020 against Denver. Dolphins lost 20-13. Had a 58-degree game against the CHI this year. Dolphins won 35-32. What's that forecast again? FWIW.
  17. 2 weeks on the PS and he "retired" after Tommy bitched at him. Your assumptions may be hasty.
  18. It is my belief that you are totally correct. All this just may work out very well in the end. My hope is Cole has stayed somewhat in shape. He is recovered from his injuries and well rested and I'm hoping he will be "all in" with his play.
  19. Good question. I got all caught up in the mid 19th century talk so the punishment could very well be a hanging. Although, Beane has been known for his "wizardry". It could digress to a more 17th century Salem, MA situation.
  20. Will that come in a Grand Jury trial, or will Pegula suspend Habeas Corpus?
  21. I'm going to speculate that Bease and Brown are going to be in a competition for a needed 5th WR on the 53. I'm guessing that Cole will have the inside track in a couple of weeks. That spot can easily be freed up by cutting one of the 11 DBs currently on the 53. Whoever that is hopefully clears waivers on ends up on the PS.
  22. I'm glad Bease is signed to the PS like I wanted earlier in this post (way back 40 pages last night). LOL. I'll pass on the Vax/Personal Rights/Civil War talk and just add what I think can maybe work out as a pretty good roll of the dice. Cole signed to the PS for $80K. A spit in the ocean compared if the Bills kept him this year. Cole has been getting injured during the season and has been limited by those injuries for the playoffs. Now there is a chance that in a few weeks he can be healthy and to the level we would have hoped for if he stayed. In a similar situation is John Brown on the outside WR spot. If just one of these moves ends up being a plus to the team, it worked out great. Imagine if both hit. Well done by John, Cole, Josh, Sean and Brandon! Go Bills!
