Buffalo was a bit tough to judge with Tyrod and Rex’s ground and pound, but you might be being a bit generous with Roman. No debating Roman’s ability coordinating the run. It’s early, but he’s shown progress in this area this year with the Chargers. Anyway, my point wasn’t about Roman. Honestly, I don’t really care about him. Was only using him as an example of the broader point. My point was about Brady and his lack of creativity and inability to design an effective pass game. It’s holding this team back. Yes, I believe we need more talent at the position, and I won’t forgive Beane for it, but it was the same way when we had Diggs after they fired Dorsey. Never got him the ball like they had before. Doesn’t have to be as difficult as Brady is making it. Scheme can fix some of the issues with the receivers, but doesn’t appear he has the chops for it.

I’d be willing to listen on this iteration of the chargers, but this has been the bugaboo with Roman for years. Got him fired in Buffalo and Baltimore.

Ohh what used to be. Makes me even angrier with Beane. I thought he got it with receiver when he committed to improving it after Josh’s rookie year with the Beasley and Brown additions. Further reinforced with the Diggs trade and drafting of Gabe. Now it’s like the position doesn’t even exist to him. It’s BS man and will be the #1 thing that holds this team back.

Wasn’t it a thing where, like Greg Roman, Brady can’t really design a good pass game (i.e., simplistic routes, not a lot of creativity), or am I imagining that? I think Brady gets a lot of credit for the LSU pass game success with Burrow, Chase, and Jefferson, but, in hindsight, I think I could’ve called an offense that included the three of them. Like Dorsey before him, I find myself asking “What’s the plan here in the pass game”. The best OCs work a plan that sets up future plays. I just feel like Brady is calling plays sometimes without a real plan to set up and attack the defense. I’d bet $100 we get the WR screen somewhere on the first drive. If I know it’s coming, you best believe Spags does.

Man Wilkins must’ve really f’d up with the Raiders. He’s the perfect replacement for Oliver. RE: this list, only name I recognize is Davis. Massive, yet underperforming talent. Based on size alone, I guess you could do worse?

Regardless of outcome, I love how the commanders have come into this game. Playing super aggressive. Haven’t agreed with some of their play calls on the 4th downs, but love the energy.
