I thought someone might bring that up in response to me. It’s a fair point. To many, cheating is cheating and I respect that. I’m honestly not sure where I land in that regard. I’m just not sure I agree they are the same transgression. The guy, love him or hate him (personally, I hate him), certainly has the bonafides of a first ballot HOFer.

Still pretty disappointed with the decision overall, but after my initial reaction of complete disgust, I do get why they may have landed here. Again, not my first choice, but I get some of the thinking behind it. Go bag Jimmy Leonard as the DC and get someone who can help Brady with more creative approach to the pass game (i.e., more easy button options for Josh) as OC, then I’ll be back in the boat with the coaching side of things. Beane has to have a sun glasses meme BBB type of off-season on the personnel side (especially at receiver) to win me back. Full disclosure - what f’n choice do I have? I’m a captive audience. No way in hell I’d root for anyone else. Love this team like a family member. Not just laundry for me. I’m such a dope 😭.

People forgetting Babich is one helluva position coach. I agree he had to go, and that he was a bust as DC, but the guy’s position groups were always well coached.

Beane bought himself a lot of good favor with Terry for picking Josh. McD immediately went against Terry his first draft in not picking Mahomes (Terry was rumored to love Mahomes, but didn’t want to be seen as stepping on McDs toes). In his mind, Beane saved the org and cleaned up after McD. Don’t think the old man has forgotten about that.

Thought this was a swipe at some of the young cats fans preferred (Udinski, Scheelhaase). They say they don’t listen to this stuff, but they do.

I agree. Certainly didn’t seem like he was planning on leaving.

Probably true. I’ve always said, just give me one SB championship so I can care less as a fan. I’m tired of over analyzing and hanging on every word or move. I’d like a healthier relationship with the team. But…until that happens, here I am. For the record, I was 100% onboard with firing McD. He wasn’t going to get it done. Time to go. I just wish they’d done a better job with the fumigation.

I hate belichick like everyone else on here, but that’s not right. Maybe the cheating allegations catching up to him, but you can’t argue the results.

Thinking about this more, how does this organization continue to step in it from a PR perspective? Even if you think Brady was the guy for the job, the optics alone draw so many more questions about what went down here with the firing of McD. I’m not saying you shouldn’t hire the guy you want, but damn does this team routinely find itself on the ass end of these things outside looking in.
