  1. Just listened to Sal Capacio on the radio and he was talking about Allen. He said that some of the "experts " has poisoned the water about Allen and far to many people ran with it and do not want him on their team.  it is true in a number of cities . The people do not really know anything about Allen but if he is selected by the Jets , Fish , or Buffalo , he will have a hole to get out of before he starts. I would hope that if mcBeane selects him we would welcome him like the Bill's fans we are. The hell with all of the naysayers.

I went up to Green Bay last time we played you there back in 2010. It was such an amazingly fun time I almost foget how badly we lost too you guys. I think that was Captain Check downs last game as a Bill. I would love to go back this year so definitely early in the season when the weather is still warm.

I was there too with my son who lives in Wisc.

  3. Ain't going to happen. The Bill's will trade up to # 2 or # 4. Gentleman , Dorsey and Beane  all know that the Bill's have a 100 million in cap space next year. The Giants and of course the Bill's would like to screw over the Jets . If Gettleman doesn't want a QB he will trade with the Bill's. Dorsey traded for Mahones last year so he has a tacit "obligation to the Bill's....    trading for the 4th pick. if, and is a mighty big if, the trades don't work out to the Bill's favor, They know that the Bill's will have a 100 million to  "LURE "a free agent from any team they want.

The reason why they accumulated all of that draft capital is to finally fill the QB void and now some are afraid to spend it.

Absolutely true ! Why should we be in position to draft a QB with the picks this year and not do it ? Your pink underwear is showing if you are afraid to trade up for a QB . Remember 22years without a franchise QB.

    Dawkins - rookie - Groy/rookie - Ducasse/Miller - Mills/McDermott

That's how I see it right now. I think they add rooks at LG and C and give Miller a chance to win the RG spot in camp. Here's hoping McDermott's a diamond on the rough. They liked him enough to stash him on the active roster the second half of last year without him ever playing a snap.

McDermott is the key to the line this year. If he pans out , we will have  the tackle position in hand. Groy at center and Ducasse and Miller at guard.

  6. I am totally sick of the teeny balled people who post on TBD to say their nonsense about not trading up. MCBeane has positioned the Bill's, very adroitly to have enough picks ,.to move up in a QB rich draft,  We will not be without picks. The price is gong to be high but , do you want a Caddy or a Yugo. I trust Beane to do his due diligence in the selection and price. I have been a Bill's fan for more years than most of you have been breathing. I have seen one franchise QB  from 1960 - 2017., Kelly. Trust The Process.

  7. The Giants are not going to make any moves until they see what the Brown's do. They will entertain offers but they will not complete them unless Cleveland announces their pick before the draft. If Cleveland takes Darnold then it will be a free for all with teams attempting to get t0 # 2. I hope Gettleman thinks kindly of his former protege'.

I do not want us to move up to get "whichever of the top 4-5 QB's is left". Hopefully the Bills do their research on all of the QB's in this draft, choose the ONE that is the best choice for this franchise and then do whatever is necessary to go and get him. You can't just go get one of them and assume he will be great. You have to know in advance which one you want and get THAT guy.

    AMEN.

But your point is that you don't want them to trade up if they are wrong, and if they can get a successful QB by not trading up then great! But the problem is that no one really knows who will be "the guy". The top 4 have been evaluated to go first for many reasons, if Beane identifies one as the guy he wants, he isn't going to want Rudolph at 22 or whenever. He is going to want X guy at X time.

So once again it isn't about picking a QB, it is about picking the RIGHT QB, and Beane has a lot on his shoulders to get this right.

That is it in a nutshell, they are "chicken" to trade up .

It seems to me that you have all decided that you want go the SAFE route in the draft. We have been doing that for years for a QB. I think Beane will surprise you and you can whine and cry  all you want to.This is a new era in Bill's organization. Big Balls

White or Ferguson in the third, if we don't go QB in round one...

The top four are rated well above the rest and as i said the lower you go the less chance of success you have. I said i wanted you to draft a FRANCHISE QB .You by your actions are not going to get a franchise QB . You are going to get another backup. Beane has shown some big cajones in the past and i would expect him to do it again in the draft.A very good thing that a lot of you are not in a GM position. Little Cajones

False... TBH, I think if we keep both 2nd's and both 3rd's we could end up with 2 valuable NFL starters.... To me, that beats forking over a king's ransom on 1 kid who may not work out.

You are saying that drafting for a franchise QB is not a good idea. I say it is because of the position our team is in. You have to take a chance if you want success and it is not guaranteed but it will be an educated decision by our F.O.. When would you like to draft a franchise QB ? and be reminded that your chances are very low , the  lower you go in the draft.

You're making two very big assumptions here... The first, is that we won't have a QB unless we sacrifice valuable picks to get one... I reject that line of thinking completely... I think if you get a high-pick QB, with no one protecting him, -no one for him to throw to, and zero talent supporting him on defense, you've basically screwed YOURSELF !  -We'll have a three-and-out circus with sideline breaks so the rookie can watch the other team score... That's IF he doesn't sustain a major injury... How will the "QB Now!" chorus feel then?

Secondly, -why is the time now???  Sounds like the same desperation that allows for Brandon Weeden  Ryan Tanneyhill, and Johnny Manziel to be picked WAY higher than they merit... But OK... Let' say McBeane is really under the gun... How about both firsts, and a third next year... --That's the most I'd pay to draft in 2018's top 5.

You are making assumption that is entirely correct , to get what you want you have to give up something , presumably draft picks. The offensive line last year was ranked #6 in the league. I said that the rookie probably wouldn't play the first year, to learn. I have no qualms about starting McCarron/ Peterman in the interim . The offensive line may be better than last year and i don't think that it was a pressing need as are linebacker, wide receiver and of course quarterback. The time is now because we will never have as many high picks as we have this year. Your fallacy is that you think that if you draft a player ,other than a quarter back , that he is going to be good. You don't have to look beyond the Bill's to dispel that theory. Beane has shored up the defensive line  and has dabbled a little bit on the offensive line. I know a lot of people are skittish about trading up because we haven't done a very good job in the past i.e. Watkins , Losman, and Manuel. The new F.O. team has a track record of success , albeit limited, in the past year.If , Beane wants to trade up i am all for it because , in order to get better you cannot afraid to take a chance on a reasonably thought out decision.

:mellow:If that happens, we're screwed... I'll admit it.... -WASTED pick...-But at least it won't cost us FOUR other picks that MIGHT have worked out very well for us.

We need to Build this team back up... Every. Pick. Counts.

But if you don't have a QB you are screwed to the wall. and that is what we have been trying to tell you status quo people that, the time is now.

for trading up for a Quarterback. The QB we get will not play the first year presumably , so there is little chance of injury .

  15. THE TIME IS NOW,, Beane has positioned the team with multiple draft picks, so we can trade up. Both Beane and McDermott abhor tanking and the team will not be in the bottom of the league next year. I would imagine that Beane has already laid out alternative plans to get what he wants and if the the cards are right , he will proceed. To not do it now means at least two years down the drain, because , accordingly there are no QB prospects coming out next year, and we will not have the draft capital to get up , if there was a QB they coveted. So, you better be prepared for an all in , no matter what it takes TRADE, for the Bill's.
