Why would they move, they have more picks then us now and higher position. I believe they have 4-5 2nd round picks.

Why anybody moves, if the deal is such that you think you are in a position that the other person has given you enough goodies, that you would be foolish not to. It is called Bidness.

  2. I think that it is Josh Allen. They know that he will have to have schooling in some nuances and it will take some time , but he is the QB with the arm and is a good fit for McDermott's traits and beliefs. If  we don't get Allen, their backup choice is Lamar Jackson. Both of them exhibit about the same deficiencies in accuracy and with tutoring they should be able to prosper.

  3. I think that no one is considering Peterman in this equation. I know all of the rants that have been hurled at him in the past so kindly, stow them. McDermott likes him. I guess I would rather be liked by the coach ,than the derisive so called Bill's fans in the past few months. I am not saying he is the Qb of the future, but he may be just what we need as a bridge to our rookie , while he develops. We may not need a Foles or Keenum unless it is to tutor our rookie. Possibly there is a QB who is more adept at tutoring , who does not cost as much .

  4. You will not know until draft day what the Bill's are going to do. There are to many variables in place. The teams all have their own interests in mind and a lot can change between now and then. They can approach different teams with proposals tha,t are commensurate with both teams, if the draft falls a certain way. The Bill's know what the terms are and the other team the same. There may be " adjustments" at the 10 minutes they have to draft but the essentials are done. That means that if the Bill's are going to move up they will have "secret" scenarios with multiple teams  and depending on which scenarios works, they go for it.

    Yep, one of them.

I am down here in NYC and it is believed that Gettleman really wants to move on from the problem children on the team It is believed he views them as big time cancers, no matter what their talent is.

Take it for what it is worth. I hope it doesn't derail a possible trade up to 2 for the Bills.

I'd be leery of that too, but Nelson is quite the prospect and people tinkk he won't make it out of the top 10.

Gettleman now has two problem children ,one of whose value has plummeted today. We can offer him  , the two number one's . a number two this year , a number two next year and Cordy Glenn for the second pick plus one of the two problem children. Then , as Dallas has moved on from Dez , we can trade the WR to Dallas for a draft choice . The draft choice to be determined later when the NFL  determines what they are going to do with him. Dallas would be a good landing spot for said WR.

Talent and tape mean more than location. If he was as talented as the rest he would be ranked among the others. White, Lauletta, Falk ect are the "little brothers" of this draft.

They also played at " small " schools, so the reporters i.e.  Kiper , Schrecter and so on just give them the. brush and hope like hell they don't set the league on fire in the first year because by the second year nobody cares

  7. I just read a draft article that had one of the four QB's going 21 to the Bill's I am all in for that no matter which one but don't expect it to happen. If , the Bill's decide to stay at 21 & 22, I would go with DT ,DT or LB and the two number two's DT , if only one in the first and a LB, if a QB does not rattle our chains. The rest of the draft should be BPA.

The Biggest problem with this team was a lack of quality GM, coaching, and scouting dept to find a high caliber talent in the first place. Second, to allow him to survive long enough to develop properly.

Trent Edwards looked like a young Joe Montana at first (2008) and after several severe concussions behind bad lines with terribad coaching(Turk Schonert, AVP), a bad scheme ( A WCO QB in a Mike Martz deep passing scheme) he became a bad QB. Just like JP Losman, EJ.

Shoot, EJ didn't even have the luxury of a QB coach in his first season in Buffalo, nor did he have a veteran QB to help show him the ropes. All he had was an OC who had never been an NFL OC previously. Talk about a ridiculously stupid way to develop a QB. To draft a rookie QB in the first round only to not give him the proper means to develop. He was supposed to sit for a season to develop and even that wouldn't have helped at all with nobody to teach him. EJ stated he learned far more from watching Kyle Orton prepare for a game than from any coaching.

This new HC, GM, OC, and scouting dept should be able to determine a high caliber QB from the top six and then draft, develop him properly. This, for the first time in nearly a decade.

Exactly, We have had  a lackluster consortium of coaches, gm's and scouts in the past 20 odd years. We finally got all three , IMO, and they can  sift the prospects and come up with one, no matter what it costs in draft picks , if they think he is the one. Maybe they fail, from what i have seen in the years following the Bill's it was a common occurrence. I have faith that our  people will win, if we give them the opportunity.

Give a class assignment to 10 year olds and have them with perfect hindsight and google tell you the best way to get a franchise QB

doing it in real time and without hindsight or taking back your moves is all that matters

I think McD/Beane will sift the QB market and choose one. We  should hope they choose right but ,  we have to realize that picking a QB is not an exact science and we may have to go to the well more than once. The trouble with the Bill's has been not going to the well often enough.
