I think it's open for interpretation at this point, but how I see it:

Get rid of any divas, me-first players, and players who don't want to play hard.

Create the vision of how the offense and defense will run and stick to it - putting players who can execute in place of those who cannot.

If a player isn't fitting/working out, get rid of him while you can still get something for him.

    Addition by subtraction.

Don't overpay for positions like WR or RB.

The off-season purge (mostly getting rid of Watkins, Gillislee and Woods, as well as letting so many defensive players go) is what led me to believe this is what the process is.

Of all the players who left, Robert Woods remains the only one I'm truly upset about.  Dareus, to a much smaller degree.  But everyone else - good riddance.

Someone asked my yesterday, what I thought the offense would have been like with Watkins and Woods.  At first, I thought, "better," but then I realized we'd already been there and done it.  There was a reason it didn't work.  That reason is gone.

    The process is working.

I think that Woods being a free agent would not have signed with the Bill's anyway, SoCal man and wanted to return to his roots.

  2. I trust the coach and have bought in to the process. This is not saying that i agree with every decision he makes but I, like all of us are not paid to coach the Bill's. We can armchair all w want to with no consequence to us. We live and die with his decisions So when he makes the right decisions we live and go to the playoffs and if he makes a lot of wrong decisions and misses the playoffs he is the one who pays. I say we are lucky to have a coach like him who took us to the playoffs in his first year. Come on board!!

it really doesn't matter. It was a bad choice. and for the record I thought it was a bad choice. I really don't care what you thought I thought about it.

And every other quarterback was bad "they" were willing to start Tyrod. FOR 14 GAMES lol. That shows how bad every other quarter back on the roster is. Think about the abslute dumb logic you are spewing.

I told you so McDermott shouldn't have handicapped himself with a loss.

I am so sick of your one topic posts which, you incessantly barrage us with. Peterman through five picks , yes he did bu,t it isn't or wasn't the end of him and McD. They survived and Peterman was incidental in another win and McD got us in the playoffs.Period.End of your story, I hope

Taylor represents the best chance to win the game. Your Peterman dreams are puzzling.

I know Taylor may be our best bet but, as he has done the past few games , he starts quick and flames out at the second half. i want to win. and with Taylor , the second half seems to be his downfall. Unlike you i do not like falling on my sword for stubbornness when there is a chance to win.

The HO and Coach basically gave up on the Bills in the preseason and sold some fans as to how bad the team would be coming off 3 okay seasons.

As said like all skill players playing on non playoff teams all they worry about are their #'s and their next contract.

Watkins would have made a difference without a doubt.

My thoughts exactly , all players playing on non playoff teams worry about their own numbers, which is why they are non playoff teams

  6. The premise that , we would have been in the playoffs is ludicrous IMO. The coaches knew in preseason that Sammy was just interested in playing for Sammy and probably would not have resigned with the Bill's. Dareus , they got their fill of him in the games he "played" in. Darby was not a fit in Buffalo because of the Zone defense. We are in the position to possibly be in the playoffs because we traded these players . if we had not , i i think we would be 6 -10.

Starting players on playoff teams are minimal contributors. Okay. If that makes you feel better then go for it.

I am going for it because their minimal contributions for the Bill's were not up to a playoff caliber player and they proved that on the field. hurray for them that they got on a playoff bound team.

Nice of you to stop by again Russ.

I'm sure there are plenty of players on the Bills RIGHT NOW that don't want to be here.

Tough ****. You don't just players away because they don't want to be here.

It seems that is exactly what they did and probably more will follow. I would hope  that the underperforms are gone but if they are not they will be shown the door.

Well considering the last two OCs did a much better job with him I think Dennison gets and deserves a lot of the blame.

The ultra conservative approach on offense is mind numbing. And no, that has nothing to do with Tyrod being the QB.

I beg to differ, the QB has everything to do with the game plan an OC can implement. Whether or not Dennison is culpable or not remains to be seen. Tyrod, limited  the OC because of his inabilities.

We disagree here. He played well in his opportunity. There are guys that are much more expendable players on that team (see: Tolbert, Mike). Pitts is worse, Thomas too and so is McDermott off the top of my head. Elston has absolutely showed more than any of those guys. There are others too.

i think Eston and Anderson are safeties,, The other people are apples to oranges

  11. The premise that , why don't the owners of all the teams call the NFL on the carpet if they think that one team is getting benefits that their teams do not get is because all of the owners don't care. Most of the owners are riding the golden cow and as long as their profit line is okay , they are okay. Jerry Jones said a very telling remark when he was battling Goodel and Blank on Elliott's suspensions. It was a remark about penalties that the Cowboys got after he pursued the suspension, They were one of the favored teams and we haven't heard much out of Jones since. As pogo said "every one is crreated equal but, some are more equal than others"

  12. i think you have system favoring certain teams by the NFL whereby the officials ,on the field, knowing who the favored teams are and will strive to call the game accordingly. You can not tell me that the Patriots don't hold on occasion and when do you see a holding call on them in a crucial situation. The Cowboys are /were a favored team up until Jones tangled with Kraft, Goodell, and Blank. The probability of all of the calls on the replays in the Jets. Steelers, Bill's and the Cooks replay  being decided in favor of the Patriots is probably off the charts but that is what happened.
