I seriously would like to see Tyrod have a good game. He has had a few in the past but not a corner-turner. I would love to see it because he is a good person and an admirable teammate, so i'm told. This would alleviate a lot of problems for the organization.

And just to piss you off more, I would LOVE nothing more then for TT to have a monster game and FINNALY turn the corner this week vs NE. Heres for keeping my hopes up!

  2. I believe that the Tyrod fans are seriously myopic because we have been almost 3 years with Tyrod and the end is near. The person who started this thread does not admit that three of Peterman's picks were caused teammates errors. Peterman was picked by the people in charge now, and fits the process. He has the better part of a year in the NFL and he is not a rookie anymore. The doubters do not mention the Colts game,  when the two passes to Benjamin were on the money. I would believe that Peterman is going to be our starter next year , with a seasoned backup.

I would agree that there was a mid season slump in the run game, but in the mindset of win now and win later, I would say the current makeup of the Dline is very good and are a more cohesive unit than before. I could argue that the trade of Dareus has been a positive in terms of performance of late and if they shut down the Pats this week, win the game and make the post season, that trade was the turning point. Plus we get the 5th.

I just don't understand how you can ignore everything the head coach says about changing the culture, team first, getting better everyday, etc. and only point of trading away a few talents that didnt fit the system, were over paid and not buying in as a reason why we are "only 8-6". Isn't that what Belichek does on a yearly basis? You are so off base in your arguments its incredible.

I completely agree. McD is only in his first year and there are a lot of changes to be made. There are some "snakes" on the roster who will be gone this year. I was wondering who was on the roster that spanned from Dougie to McD. There aren't to many and who Kirby would trust and visa/versa.

Interesting to say the least. The Giants said that Coughlin's message was passe'. I believe that after a year and a half that they would like some of Tom's discipline.

  4. They of course have not had the head job as it were but you spend a lot of time preparing for your opportunity and that counts for something, otherwise you or i could coach the team without any credentials. To say they are unprepared is a misnomer and could be a justification of some of the rants about McD and Beane on the board.

Kirby, I can't comment on the credibility of your sources or the accuracy of the report. I wouldn't be surprised if there was a great deal of discontent with the coach's Peterman decision. Whether the players like the wrestling coach or believe that he is not an authentic person matters little to me. From the games that I have seen this limited roster has played hard and overachieved (my opinion). There are few people who would deny that Marrone was an insufferable and arrogant jackass. Yet, the team played hard for him. That's what counts.

There is no doubt that McDermott is a hard coach. He is not afraid to make roster moves or alter playing time based on performance. There is no question that certain types of players/people could/would not play for him. He demands commitment on the field and in preparation. Ask Dareus what he thinks of the coach? And ask the coach what he thinks of Dareus?

Where the rubber meets the road with a hardnosed coach like McDermott is whether that punishing style results in success. If it does he will be embraced. If it doesn't he will be scorned. The bottom line is that McDermott wants a certain type of player/person on his roster and he doesn't want a certain type of player/person on his roster. When this year is assessed I believe that the rating for the coach will be high. He got a stripped down team to compete hard. That augurs well for the future. I'm on board.

i am sure  there are players who do not "like"" McDermott , the doesn't men the they are not on board with him and what he is trying to do, The process in case you forgot. There probably is a malcontent or two on the team as it consists now.Kelly the Dog was talking to one of them. Remember we are talking about 20 to 25 year old people and they are quite apt to follow the leader without realizing the ramifications of idle talk. When i see on TV or listen on radio to the players seems that they on board with what McDermott is about. The player or players Kelly the dog talked to can trust the process or leave , if Mcd isn't already planning their exit.

With or without Taylor the Chargers were going to beat us. They steamrolled the Bills on both sides of the ball. It happens. Every game has it own vibes. The Dolphins trashed the Patriots while the Bills got trashed by the Pats and then the Bills beat the Phins. In the Charger game they thoroughly throttled the Bills on both sides of the ball. They were so overwhelming that they laughed their way through the game.

What you and the revisionists fail to point out is why Taylor was replaced by the coaches. He struggled in a string of games where he couldn't run the offense. So the coaching staff responded with the change. It didn't work out. But it didn't matter because the running qb with seven years of experience who can't go through his progressions and make anticipatory and accurate throws was not going to make a difference in this game.

You can "what if" yourself until you are exhausted. The season is playing out with the normal ups and downs. The qb you are fawning over will not be back next year for the simple reason that he is not good enough. The Bills are an overachieving team that lacks talent in plenty of areas. Their record is beyond what any fair-minded person should have expected when the season started. You can continue your pointless crusade on your hypothetical scenario. The problem is that the reality doesn't mesh with your fantasy.

This is a clear and concise post about what happened and what is going to happen to our QB situation. McD& Beane are well aware of our QB situation and all the calls for TT and the denigrating of NP are not reality. The process must be served if we are going to have a winning football team . So far it is working. We have twice the wins that we were expected to get and it is without  the players that were not part or didn't want to be part of the PROCESS.

  7. an analyst ' i think is was Romo and i could be wrong, say that the defender put his hand on Zay's arm early in the play . not enough to cause a penalty and then when the ball arrived , jerked his arm, the analyst said that it is a rookie error in that when Say felt the hand on his arm he should have acted  to it and put his arm down and the official would have to call P.I.

I tell you what gullible is, thinking the Bills were going to be a serious playoff contender with Watkins, Darby, Darius or any other fan favorite that we dumped this year!

My buddy and i had a clear view of the one you're talking about. Defender did a phenominal job. Had his hand on Zay's arm the whole way, just enough not to warrant a flag, then jarred it away.

Right On, You have to clean house in order to get players who want to PLAY. The players with the exception of Darby were not going to play football with the Bills, to an EXPECTED level. Darby was traded because of man/zone considerations. Watkins has said since that he did not give his all in Buffalo. Darius played about 25 percent of the game . SM is doing well as a rookie coach  so, as I have said for 17 years , wait until next year.

Again. I dont get these posters. Nate is a rookie, rookies make mistakes. Atleast his mistakes are not all on him and he is trying to do what a QB needs to do and throw the ball. I guess watching TT for 3 years has people scarred of throwing the ball and must love 3 and outs. Peterman may not pan out, probably wont, but all this bashing on a rookie making his first start is just stupid. And in the snow how many picks did he throw? I saw predictions that he would have at leadt 3 in the first half, how did that work out?

Amen ! Do the TT posters have blinders on or didn't they watch the Chargers game. The picks wee NOT all Peterman's fault.

  10. i believe that Jon Gruden said that NP was the most NFL ready QB  drafted last year. He still is a rookie and will make some rookie mistakes. He is showing some mettle , in the last two games . i believe a true Bills fan will want a first year player to succeed and develop into a quality QB. Some of the posts do not seem to take the development time into play . Remember , Nate has about one game of experience in a true NFL game . I watched the game today and i was impressed with NP's passing in the elements and not iimpreeed with his rookie mistake of not sliding . He will learn.

    Finally looked this up:

When the Saints got in trouble for putting bounties on players, to my recollection no opponent ever was injured.  In addition I don't recall that any Saints player during that time intentionally hit another player in a clear dead ball situation. The NFL handed out punishments an said this:

"We are all accountable and responsible for player health and safety and the integrity of the game. We will not tolerate conduct or a culture that undermines those priorities," said Goodell.

Penalties?  Payton and Gregg Williams suspended for a year each.

Gronkowski got one game.  It's ridiculous.

like  i have said , New England and Dallas control the NFL. The Gronk situation kind of proves it. The Pat's knew that they had to do something so they allowed the NFL to suspend Gronk for one game with the stipulation that Gronk would appeal and the appeal would be denied. They knew that a firestorm would ensue but like all firestorms they will become embers and are soon forgotten. It's only Buffalo

Well put. The juxtaposition of these two events has bothered me all week. On one hand we have a potentially catastrophic outcome that's the result of the violent nature of the game, on the other hand a defenseless player went into concussion protocol due to a completely unnecessary blow to the head well after the whistle.

IMO the NFL missed an opportunity to make a strong statement regarding their concern for player safety with Gronk/White.

On a side note, a few years ago Belichik sat Welker for the first offensive series against the Jets after Welker's hilarious presser where he made multiple references to Rex's foot fetish. I'm not expecting it after the 1 game suspension but it would be a nice gesture to do the same to Gronk in his first game back.,

I think that the Ref's and League officials are afraid of their jobs to do anything to a Patriots player, coach, or owner. I read all of the posts that say as much weekly. We have to face it that some owners are more equal than others and we are not in their orbit.

I thought McDermott handled it fine.

He addressed it directly with the head honcho of the Patriots - Belichick - at the end of the game. That's how a man should handle it IMO. You don't need to yell and scream and try to fight someone. You discuss it like a mature adult with the person in charge.

He also addressed it with the refs, and I'm guessing that he will address it directly with the league as well.

And in his post game presser he said he wasn't happy with it and there's no room for stuff like that in this game.

I thought he handled it in a classy way and I really don't get what the issue is.

Id much rather have a coach handle it like McDermott did, than have him acting like that buffoon Rex Ryan...

     Good Post

McDermott is a lot smarter than some of you people give him credit for.. He handled it perfectly and voiced his displeasure with BB. If anything goes on in the game in Foxboro McD is blameless............
