  1. With the 24th pick the Dallas Cowboys select Jackson Powers-Johnson, Center, Oregon.

We are happy to have our guy still on the board. Powers-Johnson is a fierce competitor with a salty disposition. He doesn’t seem to have many issues in pass protection, as he works with clear eyes, a wide base.

The Green Bay Packers @Virgil are on the clock.

  2. With the 8th pick the Atlanta Falcons select Dallas Turner, Edge, Alabama @mannc and the Chicago Bears are on the clock

Defense is a huge need for us and we are getting a player who is long and athletic with the explosive traits needed to become an impactful NFL pass rusher. Turner’s first-step quickness and elite closing burst are top notch. We had a trade down offer but couldn't pass up the opportunity to take what we think is the best defensive player in the draft.

  3. With the 97th selection of the 2024 NFL draft the Cincinnati Bengals select Mekhi Wingo, DT, LSU

Wingo is a shade undersized, but his tape is fun to watch. He has three down-potential and we have confidence he can eventually become a starter.

Hey everyone, I'm switching to a 90 minute window for the remainder of this draft.  I want to be done with 1.0 by tonight, so 2.0 start-up can start tomorrow, with the draft starting on Wednesday.  With 2 rounds and trades, it just takes longer.

Thanks for the heads up.  I went to bed at dark but the birds woke me up 3 minutes later. 🤣

  5. With the 80th pick the Cincinnati Bengals select Brenden Rice, WR, USC

The bloodlines don’t get much better than Jerry Rice, so Brenden might have a head start on the rest of the field. He’s big and plays physical so we hope he can fit right in if Tee leaves in FA.

  6. With the 49th pick the Cincinnati Bengals select Kingsley Suamataia, OT, BYU

We need help keeping our QB upright and we believe Kingsley will fit right in. He’s quick enough for move-blocking duties in outside zone and in space. He can redirect and mirror counters when he’s postured up and appears capable of dealing with bull rushers.

@BuffaloBillyG and the Giants are on the clock.

  7. With the 18th pick the Cincinnati Bengals select Cooper DeJean, CB, Iowa

We wanted one of the top OTs but they were gone. We're happy to have one of the best DB on our board. We are getting a highly competitive defensive back with plus ball skills. He's a hard hitter and can play multiple positions on defense as well as special teams.

No team is giving Tra a big contract.  Im guessing he restructures for a team friendly deal

I agree, a healthy Tre with Douglas would be a nice starting CB tandem.

  9. With the 44th pick in the draft the Atlanta Falcons select Will McDonald IV, Edge, Iowa State

The top pass rushers on our board went in front of us in the 1st round but we are happy to find good value with a player we had high on our board, also at a position of need near the top of the 2nd . He can come in and help our 31st ranked pass rush immediately. McDonald's hard nose demeanor and pass-rush talent are winning play traits that will help him become a successful sack artist.

Well, I'd like to know how the top pull quote has my handle and not Might Rather, because I personally would not wish to be associated with that pick. Very much doubt they double up on first round wrs after Drake London last year and considering their many needs on defense. I think they prioritize cb and edge well before another receiver.

The Bengals doubled up on Higgins and Chase in 20 &21. I know Higgins was a second but it's a copycat league.

I, too, am curious which defensive coordinators are staying up at night fearing Mack Hollins and Scotty Miller, the Falcons' presumptive #2 and #3 receivers.

If the contention is that they have greater needs than WR, then I would agree. If the contention is that this is too high for Johnston to be picked, I'd likely agree with that, too.

But to be fair to the Falcons mock drafter, Atlanta certainly COULD use another quality wide receiver.

DE is a big need also with the 31st pass rush last year but the top two guys already went in front of us.

With the 8th pick in the 2023 draft the Atlanta Falcons select Quentin Johnston, WR, TCU

Height-weight-speed prospect with the physical traits and upside to be a star in the NFL.

This is an exceedingly improbable pick.

Exceedingly improbable? The Falcons are determined to give Desmond Ridder a shot to be their QB of the future and their WR depth chart does not look good.
