I don't think it's so far fetched at all. I got a few extra spam blasts from the Bills over the last couple of weeks that weren't coming earlier in the season. And then I got this, just today: Whether it's legit, or they're just trying to get rid of some excess inventory (#5 jerseys?) I don't know...

Great post, makes a lot of sense. Very rational. Unfortunately, this team is such a mess that rationality has to take a back seat to ... well, just about anything resembling a pulse. It had to happen, even if it's not going to pay immediate dividends. At least now we have something to look forward to.

Two weeks to prepare for the Titans, and the game was tied with 10 minutes to go. If the offense had any sort of pulse, and didn't fart the game away with stupid picks -- or if God forbid, we actually could score touchdowns ourselves -- that game was winnable. So was the NE game, the Pats game, and maybe even the Saints or Texans. If this offense could just stop sucking for a minute or two, the defense wouldn't be on the field so long and completely spent by the fourth quarter. The defense is the least of our worries right now. What gives me confidence he can turn this team around? Nothing, I think it's beyond saving right now. But at least Jauron is finally gone. Baby steps.

Edwards has been "Bledsoed" -- his brain beat into a pulp behind a line that can't block and with an offensive (and I do mean offensive) game plan. He's shell shocked, and as we saw with Bledsoe, it's impossible to recover from it.

The Buffalo Jinx strikes again? Unfortunately the Buffalo Jinx seems to be affecting the Bills this year. Ugh.

Brandon has done a great job marketing this putrid bowl of skank, to the tune of 57,000 season tickets. If Ralph has anything left upstairs, Brandon will stay upstairs and give the football ops to someone who actually knows the game. Brandon is a good COO, but not an NFL GM. He should, and probably will, stick around after the rest of the toilet bowl is flushed.

Huh? If I told you before the game that the Bills would keep the Saints to 27 points, you would have said the Bills would have had a great chance to win. Defensively, it was the perfect gameplan. And if the offense could score, say, two touchdowns, we probably would have won. The main problem is that Trent Edwards is a headcase. He's just plain afraid to throw the ball down the field into coverage.

Preemptive standings.

I'm coming around to the conclusion that it really has little to do with the coaches, and more with a QB that locks on to his receivers to early and refuses to be aggressive with the football. Evans and TO were open enough yesterday. If Edwards had the balls to throw the ball, it may have peeled back their blitz a little.

No, by that time the game was officially in garbage time. Crunch time was when the offense could have gone ahead 14-10, and instead crapped out. That 4Q punt was the white flag of surrender.

The answer is to get a QB that isn't afraid to throw the ball. Trent is officially a headcase now.

If you can help it, don't go near the Peace Bridge on Sunday after the game. The 190 is under construction on weekends and it's closed northbound from the Peace Bridge. Last night's backup going to Canada after the game was several hours long.
