  1. I was on top of a mountain in New Hampshire on Sunday at 3 pm. A fellow hiker at the summit saw my cap and gave me his condolences.
  2. What happens if they cut off his head like Ted Williams? Would the QB get to hold up Ralphie's head from the podium when the Bills win Super Bowl MCDVII?
  3. I used to feel this way, before this season started. Now, I'm sure this is the absolute lowest this team has ever been, and I've been watching games since 1973. As bad as those teams were, we never went 10 years (and counting) between playoff appearances. I really don't see any hope for improvement within the next three years. By then, this team will have different ownership and play in a different city. I'll still pull for this team, but I simply don't care anymore. It's sad, really.
  4. Well, this team has Spiller. But the point is that there may be others on this team (Wood? Bell? Shawn Nelson? Troup?) that could be cornerstones going forward. It's time to find out.
  5. And we wonder why Lori left... I've got one foot out of the door myself.
  6. The way I look at it, even with the same players from last year, just getting rid of Jauron is worth at least a win or two. I wouldn't be surprised if we went 5-11, but I also won't be suprised if we go 8-8 or even 9-7.
  7. There will surely be a tailgate - get on the mailing list at bostonbillsbackers.com and you'll get the details when they're set. BTW, we have a pair of tickets to this game that we will be raffling off on Week 1 or 2 at the Harp.
  8. North Texas??? WTF? "South Florida" isn't that bad, but come on...
  9. Don't let the door hit you on the way out. My god, the kids these days!
  10. Yawn. From Wikipedia: Sounds like the perfect choice to me. He knows this team, and has the know-how to fix it. We could do worse than turn out like the Chargers. But, of course, he's not a "big name" so go ahead and hate it.
  11. From Wikipedia: If Nix was in fact responsible for the Chargers personnel, then he would be, IMO, the best man for the job. He knows this team and what needs to be fixed, and has a great grasp on selecting players to fit needs. Perfect choice. But, of course, people won't like it because he's not a "big name". Well, for my money, the big names mostly fail on their second time around.
  12. Mullet? Oh, you said 'Mallet'. Kiper's all about the hair, anyway.

  14. You obviously never saw Bruce Mathison play. Or Mike Williams, for that matter. Perspective, people!
  15. If you're only concerned about Congress getting involved in sports, you better start paying attention to what they're trying to do with the rest of your life.
  16. Bingo. Now that Dr. Death has been removed, the biggest problem is the front office. The percentage of Super Bowl winning coaches who win it again with a different team is ZERO. It's never been done.
  17. I was there. You could tell, even from the upper deck, that it was a brutal injury. I would bet the Jumbotron operator didn't see it clearly as it happened, because they showed a replay of it. I've never heard 80,000 people groan simultaneously... it was nasty. They only showed it once.
  18. Maybe between him and Poz, they can get a group discount on surgical steel rod implants.
