Winfield Jr is ranked lower than Hamlin and has given up less catches and has less missed tackles and was the highest graded safety in the league last year. Hamilton has given up 39 receptions and 13 missed tackles and given up a passer rating of over 100 and is the 4th ranked safety on their list. When someone uses PFF grades as an argument for how bad or good someone is it's hard to take anything else seriously. Lots of opinions offered but I haven't seen one good argument as to why Hamlin isn't doing a good job at safety. I'd agree he's not Ed Reed or a young Micah Hyde but for the cap space we're using on Hamlin you'd be hard pressed to find a better player. You can't pay everyone on the roster 10 million dollars.
