  1. Bring back George Wilson ............. he could play safety or wide receiver. Joking aside I'd love to have a young Gilmore and Dareus on defense. Gilmore was the picture of a shutdown corner for several seasons. Not so much under Rex. Dareus was great in the 4-3 with Schwartz and we saw a noticeable difference when the traded him away before we made the playoffs. I might be overly optimistic that Miller will show some return to form otherwise Schobel might get the nod over 1 of those picks.
  2. All had a few good seasons for the Bills. None of them led the team in receiving before 2019. I'll be honest I don't remember Lewis? So I went back and looked some of it up. Bill Brooks led the team in 95. So other than one season from Owens and Brooks you can go back to Frank Lewis (found the Lewis you must have referenced) before you find a WR who wasn't drafted by Buffalo and led the team in receiving.
  3. Before 2019 is there a receiver other than Owens who led Buffalo in receiving that wasn't drafted by Buffalo? I'm too lazy to look it all up but I can't think of one. Mind you I only remember back to Reed and Burkett in the late 80's.
  4. That's why you get a top 5 QB with a top 5 TE and mix and match veterans and draft picks at WR with team friendly contracts. NE and then the Chiefs working that game. Possibly throw in TB with Gronk and Brady to further that argument. Just realized Eagles leading reciever was Ertz when they beat the Pats in 17.
  5. I have to believe with Brady that Kincaid and Cook are going to be the focus passing and running. Coleman fits a ball control passing game. Claypool can play the Gabe Davis field stretcher part if he has his head right. It's possible the loss of Big Ben and the arrival of Pickens cemented his demise in Pittsburg. Not many WR's leave Chicago better than they arrived. I'd have to hope he has more upside than Sherfield.
  6. Everything I didn't like about Claypool was between his ears. He has his head right he definitely is someone defenses have to pay attention to.
  7. Just rewatched the Cover1 report on Diggs getting traded and this segment here says a lot about how and why we ended up with Coleman. It might be part of a Brady makeover to have a big wideout who lends himself to RPO's and bubble screens. Definitely worth a listen.
  8. Just make him watch AJ Brown and Deebo tape all day.
  9. If the defense would show up but that's another can of worms ..................
  10. Those damn routes Mike Evans runs where he cuts in then up the field and back out (can't remember what they call them). A big WR with good hands and a good first 10 yards can probably make money on that.
  11. I mean they did average 27 points over the last 7 games. Our best receivers over that stretch will be back. Our best receivers from the playoffs will be back and we averaged 28 points in the playoffs. I hate to be the one with all the optimism but it doesn't all have to be gloom and doom. Maybe you don't take one of our WR's for your fantasy team but that doesn't mean we can't win.
  12. Miami's exploded offense and KC's far less potent offense still equals a KC SB win. I'm not saying we couldn't use a Tyreek Hill but I'm also not afraid of running the ball with Cook and throwing it to Kincaid 120 times and working in the WR's. Teams were playing shell defenses on us all day. Short stuff was easy money it's about time we built a team that takes it. They play us tighter Shakir, Samuels, and Cook can all run by someone with the right match ups. I'd actually take the Wr's we have over the ones that played against the Chiefs (given Diggs had a horrible game anyway) and we should have had 27 points on the Chiefs. More if Diggs or Sheffield could catch.
  13. I was under the impression Shaw was saying the scheme would get guys open (because that's what he said) and you were saying those other teams had star athletes and that's what everything was built around. In NE, KC, or on the Rams the offense will move on whether it's Kupp, Welker, Rice, Edelman, Nacua, or Tyreek. Given our offense played well down the stretch and Shakir was our best WR over that period I'm not feeling down on the offense.
  14. Outside of leading the league in receiving I guess. Might be the scheme and not Kupp. Kupp was out the first month Nacua was the offense.
  15. Yards or catches? I think Kincaid has 80 plus catches. Shakir probably leads in yards.
