  1. I don't care about this year AS MUCH as I care about the next 10-15. Before you go down the draft is no sure thing route- noted. IF the Bills wanna throw away assets on a 2nd qb (ie foles) AS LONG AS it does NOT hinder their ability in any way/shape/form to get them through this year then fine. I don't really agree, but it wouldn't make me mad. It s their team, plan, and process. IF the Bills say screw it, we are going to follow the path of so many other failed regimes and decide they just want to be 'good enough' by settling for a potential flash in the pan, fools gold, over hyped guy and put their future in his hands in lieu of taking the guy they love (bc let's face it, if they don't LOVE a guy its counter productive to pull an ej) then they are bound to fail like their predessors. I want to be good like the 90s, like the teams that are in more often than not, like the teams w an elite guy. Getting this right after succssfully working to set it up is my chance at that. Mr Foles however is not. He's...just...not. I'd guess he is more a modern day Jeff Hostetler/Rich Gannon more so than a top ten elite guy. Been there, done that, no thank you. Thankfully, it would appear the powers that be feel the same...bc here we are!! Also if it were SUCH a good idea to hitch out wagon to Foles, why have teams been begging PHI to take their picks for him? A franchise guy for a 1 and 4? Pppfffffttttt take my $$!!! I just can't see it.
  2. whats worse is I'd imagine most just witnessed a 17 year drought. I mean... good grief!!!
  3. THANK YOU!!!! i mean... is this really even a thought people have?
  4. **not that they would***??? i sure as **** hope they would! If ANYTHING has been learned in the last 18 yrs hopefully its dont trade for Foles and make him 'the guy' ESP when they can get a blue chipper
  5. but that goes in the face of the people complaining about filling holes while not acknowledging next years cap space. I mean, sure- you wanna throw em a 2nd next yr or the Browns 3rd for Foles? fine. I cant really argue a ton with that BUT you are still giving away something that seems to be pretty valuable towards a position you are already spending a lot on and would be just as well off with some old scrub to mentor if they decide to start him week 1/2/3 etc
  6. i dont... nor did i say he did... What i did say, is he spelled it out for the pro foles crowd that it just...doesn't...make...sense.... and honestly, i dont even mind Foles... it just seems counterproductive to what they are trying to accomplish. i mean, they've done everything but come out and hand out a pamphlet to the media about their plan to get up in order to get their guy... but even still, people clamor for Foles, or think they have a 'target' at #12. It seems to be denial - a disconnect with reality as it were. If it makes their day to day life a little easier to live-fine. whatever. "you do you" type thing. for everyone else - it just gets old. Its like seeing jahovas witnesses coming down the street and you just run and hide b/c you dont want to deal with it
  7. and just keep putting off trying to find your young franchise guy for the umpteenth time? For Nick Freaking Foles?? a guy who had a good year once.... then went splat... then strung 3 or 4 competent games together with a dumbed down/simplified playbook? Even IF they didnt want a young guy, how many times do we need to go for the fools gold?
  8. i know people like to pick on 550... but Sal just dropped a ton of common sense thats not very common around here RE Foles.... WHY SPEND MORE RESOURCES ON A QB WHEN YOU PLAN ON MOVING UP?!?!?
  9. Make it stop!!!! PLEASE!!!! Not original Not even funny anymore
  10. I'll bet good money it's almost identical to what yours looks like!! ?
  11. I was hoping a Rudolph thread popped up! Ya know.. Just incase he grew a 3rd arm or something since yesterday. Just imagine, Bills trade up to draft 1st qb ever w 3, count em, THREE arms!!!?
  12. He prob wasn't even trying last yr bc he knew it was only college and nothing really even matters until you get the the NFL Besides, if he got hurt in college then it might screw up his NFL career so he prob was just taking it easy so he didn't get injured....
  13. I will! I liked the dude a lot that 1st rex yr... but didn't get why he never challanged red rocket and a McCaron led Bills team just turned to faded dreams. Now I just don't know why you'd put him and a rookie in the same room when both feel they shld start. Had we not started moving up he wlda been my vote for the gamble just bc of the unknown. But I didn't/dont think he'd ever be down for the stopgap bridge thing. I guess if that's his only option it is what it is. IF that's the case trying to become the next Pats backup as a spring board might be his best move.
  14. We have click bait titles now? And no... no it's not possible. I have to wonder if McBeane were having beers (plural beer(s)) and read this, how hard theyd be laughing their asses off?
  15. I get that, and respect that. I disagree, which I'm sure you know BUT I guess I feel that with things looking the way they do that this is just going to make you upset if they continue the direction it appears they are. At what point does that crowd jump ship to the other raft? I guess if it were me it would just drive me nuts to continue to go against it if that makes sense Ok then, let's see how you handle hypothetical. Hypothetically, have you paid attention towards the way the off season has progressed? Not hypothetically- apparently not. Reddogblitz at least makes sense and backs up his arguments with valid points. I respect that and enjoy listening to why he feels that way. Meanwhile, you post nonsense backed with insults rather than backing up your nonsense...
  16. Why are there still people who want this soo badly? Even with the tea leaves pointing as they are it seems a small group (like the old man who calls each and every show on wgr to say the same thing) who just can't handle/accept what the plan appears to be.
  17. Right? If they trade up for their guy it just seems bringing in a younger guy who still wants to start and be the guy somewhere wldnt make sense. Even if for some reason he took a 1 yr prove it deal, I'm not sure that's the best look. They are professionals, but they all are competitors and I'm not sure putting 2 like minded (3 if Peterman feels slighted) guys who wanna prove themselves and start in the qb room would be helpful. Maybe it would turn into a volatile situation rather than one that would flourish w a clear rookie and mentor
