  1. This makes little sense and doesn't address the point being made. Good point. But the fact that they can't re-sign him this season isn't their fault. So they're not going to get a bad reputation for not signing him this year. Next season is a different story, and I agree with you it could get dicey. If he comes in a and plays great and ends up liking it here then we have the cap space to sign him long-term as well. If not, we get a 3rd round pick back.
  2. We have enough cap space for the 120% and if he walks we get a 3rd round comp pick back.
  3. I agree, but there are no star players available at a discount on offense that I know of. Most of the money we spent this year and last could be off the books soon anyway. We can add talent on offense in the draft and next year free agency. Need to be opportunistic. Wait, you don’t agree with that? You think the offense will jump 15 spots or more in one offseason? We don’t even have a starting offensive line settled yet.
  4. Thats a good thing. It means his value should be lower AND we don’t have to commit until we know how he plays in the system, what Tre White’s extension might cost, and if Allen’s future extension could break the bank.
  5. Problem (for the Texans) is he can’t sign an extension this season. So he is basically a one year rental therefore reducing his value. It would actually be a perfect situation. Allen has two more years before he can be extended. If they got Clowney for this season, not only would we not have to extend him, but we wouldn’t be able to. They could franchise him (and let him walk after 2020, netting a 3rd rd comp pick) or extend him the following year when we have more information about what tre White and Dawkins and even Allen/Edmunds extensions might be worth.
  6. Really? Wow you have a low bar for football quarterbacks Antonio Brown
  7. Before that you started talking about “Lorax” (your nickname use I don’t call him that) when I was only saying Nsekhe is good value for clowney by pointing out his age and relative obscurity. You don't realize it is changing the subject but it is because your example of “Lorax” doesn’t change the main point that clowney will be here if and when they win a Super Bowl while Nsekhe and “Lorax” will be retired.
  8. My point was Clowney is a more natural fit as a DE in a 4-3
  9. Also, I could be wrong but isn’t he being slightly misused as a LB in Houston? They have a few good pass rushers which some would say take focus off him. But what about the times Watt or Mercilus get to the QB just before him?
  10. Probably not, but I would franchise tag him. We have cap space next two years before an Allen extension, in theory. One thing i know for sure is he will have more impact than Nsekhe and whatever version of Murphy or Lotuloei we would use the cap space on.
  11. Oh sorry i thought the point of football was to win the super bowl
  12. Yes most fans probably still don’t even know for sure who will be the starting RT this year. go ahead and do a little research study and let me know how it goes. Im just trying to point out that if the Bills ever win the super bowl it definitely will not be because of Ty Nsekhe or Lorax
  13. I head all about him after we signed him. I think he’s a good player. Most fans STILL don’t know who he is.
  14. He has never been a starter. Never seen him play a down.
  15. Most fans had no idea who he was. Even those saying they wouldn’t trade him right now. I’d honestly rather give up Dawkins at this point because we are going to end up paying LT money to an OG at this rate.
  16. What? The reason yiu you don’t want clowney is weak
  17. He’s 33 years old. Did you like the Cody Ford pick?
  18. He will be retired in a couple years. I don’t even want Clowney that bad but I’d give up a ??? On the online. We just drafted a RT in the second round didn’t we? i don’t even want clowney that bad but your argument is weak How so? We drafted a RT in the second round this year.
  19. Who do you think will be starting for the Bills at tackle when they win the super bowl? Ty Nsekhe? I don’t know a name but I know for a FACT you didn’t know who Ty Nsekhe was very recently.
  20. What about the Cincinnati media or Miami media? Have they said anything about their backup turned starting tackles? Or do you only follow the Bills and therefore think every practice squad player is going to win them a super bowl at some point?
  21. Care to elaborate? I could say the same about your post.
