  1. Ah...so you were just gung-ho on not contributing to the ratings but still followed? Guess that counts!
  2. Really? No, I don't watch it. My wife does, I'll have to ask if she noticed.
  3. I love the honesty! That's what this game is all about. Most of us were sure without a doubt Foles couldn't step up to this stage...and most of us are sitting with a mouth full of crow. I get the passion to say you wouldn't watch for the most part, but to purposely avoid the biggest game of the year takes next level stubbornness. And those who followed through, hats off to you. I could care less what I promised a forum. I'm watching the game!
  4. I like the chip on his shoulder thing, but we already tried that in a form of a HC. Realistically, Butler has been the beneficiary of getting away with def holding/PI almost every play because of the team he plays for. If he had to play without holding onto a guy all downfield, not sure he's even average.
  5. Thank you, haha! Also, as you must know by now, you missed an incredible game!
  6. We all can make bold statements from time to time. Watching Foles pull off that performance is a reminder that no one can predict the NFL future. So fess up....did you keep your word or not?
  7. I like how we judge an entire fanbase based on a few bad apples and then we get mad at the media trying to portray all of us lighting each other on fire at our tailgates. Look through the filters and see an extremely passionate and loyal fanbase finally getting what we're dreaming about. Congrats to them, hooray for parody, and let's go Buffalo!!!
  8. I love how people on this board can take a statement and try to start a debate for no real reason. Yes, let's debate on what an NFL backup really is and try to redefine the meaning.
  9. I wonder how many people who claimed they weren't going to watch are in that number. I'm guessing almost all of them.
  10. Born in Mass. Went to BC. Whatever. The combination of his Boston accent and Matthews' RAchester accent together is worse than nails on a chalkboard
  11. I concede. You have to be right. Took me a while but now I get it. The guy went toe-to-toe with the Pats, only punted once all day, and when he had a chance to put the unquestionable nail in the coffin, he settled for a risky (your words) FG to hold an 8 point lead. While most of the world can't see it, you do, and now I do too. I will help spread your message and together, we will convince everyone that Pederson wasn't really aggressive for 60 full minutes.
  12. I don't buy into this being team related...but, just for fun...I'd be happy with him as a back up if we made a move for Cousins.
  13. You are ignoring that I said TENDENCY. That leaves room for real life situations, not a kid playing Madden. I apologize for not dropping the debate. I'm just catching up on your other comments. I didn't realize this was really just an attempt to justify us as not being conservative. I won't be harsh on McBeane yet, I'm happy in where we are headed. But I stand firm on agreeing with Pederson. He didn't relent, he just catered to a very very specific scenario. There was no philosophical switch that should baffle anyone...unless they just want to keep an argument going.
  14. Storybook ending for Foles. Now the Eagles have to deal him. If they truly believe in Wentz, they can't have Foles on the bench. That Philly crowd will be calling for Foles if Wentz is less than perfect next year. Get what you can asap, find another reliable back up, and try to repeat with a legit future elite QB.
  15. I guess I'm misunderstanding what your definitions of aggressive and conservative must be. In my understanding, aggressive would be the tendency to lean towards the risky play and conservative would be the tendency to lean towards the safe play. In my view, Pederson remained aggressive throughout without crossing the boundaries of insanity. Come on.
  16. I'm just not seeing it that way. It didn't feel that way one bit. It's all situational. When he knew he had to keep swinging, he did so. In that moment at the end, he knew he couldn't risk incompletions or even worse, an INT, and allow Brady all that time with only a 5 point lead. It was the exact right approach. Eat the clock and take the 8 point lead.
  17. I guess we'll have to disagree. The guy was aggressive early and often. In that scenario at that end, not trying to eat clock and ensure an 8 point lead would have been insane. He's aggressive...maybe not Madden aggressive, but for an NFL HC, he's right up there. But if you need to win the argument, you win. 12 points for you.
  18. He's never bothered me that much in the past but last night he sounded like he was sitting right next to Kraft. Like he bet $1M on the game.
  19. Come on...the guy was trying to eat up as much clock as he could and ensure they had an 8 point lead with what time remained. He's aggressive...not stupid.
  20. This is just one of those things no one could have known. And despite this amazing chapter in his life, there's still no telling if this translates to him being a legit starter elsewhere. He seems like a really great guy and I do hope he his career keeps up like this...unless he goes to the Jets. Then I'm hoping it was all a fluke!
  21. A fantastic quote with the literal proof to back it up. Spin it any way you want, unless you have a legendary D that can win games for you, Pederson is exactly right.
  22. 4. Madden curse *I don't really believe in that thing but hey, whatever it takes!
  23. This post should be re-titled: Fuel for Pats Trolls
  24. I'm gonna sleep like a baby knowing we don't have to put up with another offseaosn of NE worship from all angles.
