It's not as simple as "Wow, the guy only has like 6 starts". The way he looked when he stepped in for NE, it left people debating "is he that good or is the system....remember Cassell?" But then to go to SF mid-season, look just as good as he did those couple games in NE, with far less talent around him, it was clear. They have an elite talent who happened to learn under Brady for a few years. Throw the bank at the kid.

That's a lot of $ but I'm not ready to say he's overpaid. Re-watching his highlights (I know, they only show the good stuff...and there's a ton in his small sample), they must have full confidence that he is fully "cooked" after sitting and watching from literally the best for years. It's like the old school grooming method with NE not enjoying the fruit...thankfully!

If I lived close I'd be there, too. Have fun celebrating a Pats loss more than anything AND dreaming of seeing this in Buffalo very soon!

Foles seems to be a genuinely humble guy but is he humble enough to want to go somewhere to be someone's bridge? "Hey guys, I just had a historic playoff run and have a SB MVP trophy on my mantle, but sure....I'd love to be your stop-gap till this unproven rook is ready. Where do I sign?"

With the surprise runs of Foles and Keenum, who knows, could we be returning to a time of seeing guys who took a few years to develop and sustain success? I won't say yes because sustainability is the question. Does make me wonder if guys like Chase Daniel, AJ McCarron, and Landry Jones are also in that class of guys who could take that step if they got a shot.

When the Pats took the lead, I completely thought the old ref assist was ensure any attempt by the Eagles to regain the lead would be cancelled by holding calls (which they could call almost any play). So happy they shocked us all!

I can't stand how much the Pats seem to always get the calls to keep their drives alive and how teams they play get calls to kill their drives....happens all the time. However, until some other form of professional football can emerge to compete, I'm sticking with the NFLWWE. The action might be scripted but the hits are real!

I just hope one of the QB hungry teams ahead of us decides he's their guy. I wouldn't risk it. Put him in the right situation and he might turn out to be a consistently above average guy though.

If missing the Sat morn meeting was the final straw, who can you activate in time to make a difference? Maybe he was dressed as a last resort. I can't fight to defend BB, can't stand the guy, but just trying to somehow understand his perspective.

BB always has a method to his madness. What's worse, being inactive or getting dressed and having to stand in full gear on the sideline all game?

Maybe all the people who vowed to not watch waited till after kickoff to tune in thinking they wouldn't count in the ratings?
