10/14/24 Game 6 GAMEDAY Bills at Jets MNF PREGAME THREAD

4 game swing essentially. Win and you're up by 3 over both the Jets and Fins counting tiebreakers, with the remaining games in Buffalo. Lose and you're in 2nd place. -

He's insufferable to listen to, putting aside his opinions about Allen. Always screaming controversial thoughts and trying to draw attention to himself. He wasn't always that way. -
It's on. Still pretty lame

Really? Worse than Nate Peterman against the Chargers? This seems like extreme hyperbole -
Cook and Shakir return to practice.

I don't know. Gore produced in the preseason against 3rd and 4th stringers but showed little athletic ability that makes me think he could be a player. Johnson on the other hand has been very good when given an opportunity and has shown surprising speed to the edge as well as the ability to catch the ball. Obviously it would be great if Cook plays but against this opponent Shakir is much more important imo. I think the Bills can run the ball on the Jets regardless. -
Unfortunately I agree with you. This doesn't set up as a good opponent when you're already struggling offensively.

He's got quite a ways to go to become a top tier, number one caliber NFL receiver. But I think it's telling that he's basically drawing as many targets as Olave. Dude is definitely on the upswing and is extremely dangerous even if his current level ends up being close to his ceiling.

Hire Saleh as defensive coordinator IMMEDIATELY

This thread seems like a candidate for a lock -
There's no way anyone outside the organization will be hired during the season

Yep. We almost lost to Giff friggin Smith in a must win game at the Chargers last year

Andy Reid's creativity is unparalleled. The Chiefs offense has looked great tonight minus a few hiccups in the red zone

Man some of the play designs these teams have been running are very impressive

That was easy

How did you feel when Josh set up in the shotgun?

This. The situation was not as cut and dry as it is being made out to be. -

I acknowledged that I mistyped in my post. Still funny to me that everyone had confidence in McD's defense to win if we just burned 3 timeouts. -

Yes, I meant to say two timeouts but the point still stands. All of a sudden we have confidence in McDermott's defense to get a stop in the final seconds? I can't figure out which argument fans want to make sometimes🤷 -

It's comical how all the folks critical of McD (with good reason) for not stopping a team from going 40 yards in 13 seconds with no timeouts are now suggesting his defense would have stopped a team from going 10 yards in 20 seconds with no timeouts 🤣 -

You know your offense is easy to defend when a viewer on TV can call the exact play before it happens. Others may have noticed in the past also. For whatever reason, whenever the Bills slot receiver lines up with his feet pointed inward toward the line, the call is either a) a screen to that player, or b) a run play where said player has no role other than half assed peripheral blocking. In either case the result is usually not pretty. This has been a major tell for the Bills on offense but I thought it was limited just to Diggs last year (it happened repeatedly after Brady took over). Now Samuel is doing the exact same thing (twice on screens today which both got blown up). Why are we doing this? How are we telling our receiver to line up? This alignment seems to make it awfully easy to identify what we are going to do. If I as an average fan at home can recognize this tendency, surely a D coordinator and his players can see it. -
The Bills may not be fine, but I appreciate your post. What a cesspool this place becomes after a loss. People with no clue all of a sudden crawling out of the woodwork. That said, Brady better pull his head out of his ass.

Seems you're the football novice Chuck Knox. The Bills had to get a first down, period. Running it 3 times and taking it out of Allen's hands would've been a fireable offense by this board, and the Bills still would've lost. -

When you're at your 3? And haven't run the ball effectively AT ALL in the 2nd half? And that's the expected course of action? Ridiculous -

Maybe. But its hardly the no brainer situation being portrayed by some on here. I am letting Allen try to get a first down with his arm rather than taking it out of his hands and probably losing anyway. -

Somehow this point is being lost on those with pitchforks. How dare we choose the best option and put the ball in Allen's hands when a punt loses regardless?
