I mean, I certainly hope you're right. But I can't get on board with saying Maye is being wildly overhyped. It is undeniable that he is playing some outstanding football. It's not like the Pats are 4-2 but winning in spite of him.

A gratuitous bump?

The hype is not over the top. He's completing 73% of his passes with a 112 QB rating and 10 TD's in his 2nd year with no running game and receivers that are on par with the Bills. The pass to Boutte down the sideline to clinch the game today was superb. He passes the eye test every time I've watched him play. There is little reason to believe your last statement other than hope.

It will almost certainly be a must win, just like in 2021. And I just checked the schedule and guess who has a bye the week before? I really, really hope the Bills aren't going to pay for laying an egg last Sunday. That was not your run of the mill regular season game. Very frustrating. It's one thing to lose and quite another to come out completely unfocused at home in a game of that significance.

It totally changed the complexion of the division race. The Pats have very few difficult games remaining on their schedule. We had the opportunity to bury them and failed.

This is what I was going to say. People forget that Ingram has looked good in limited duty. He would also bring a more physical presence in run support. There is almost zero risk imo - White has proven (unsurprisingly) that he should never see the field at this point. The excitement when the Bills signed him was laughable. He is beyond washed unfortunately
