Freddie gets his politics in on a sports show.
You can't handle someone with an opinion that differs from your own?

He says "really" a little smug each time. He's just good at keeping most of his composure but you can tell he's irritated with that statement.
I agree. What's weird is I feel like he got worse once Jones started. I get the sense that he really didn't like Jones much. I will say that it didn't seem like Jones ever did anything to prepare for the show and always wanted to take time off, and complained a lot about a lot of things. Murphy probably resented that.

bizarre mayfield is listed at 6 2 though....brees is really about 5 11. That said I like Brees and Mayfield a lot.
Bills need a QB..you do whatever it takes to get the best one you can or we are looking at many years of this same BS team/franchise
Pretty sure Mayfield just measured at 6' 3/8". So he is at least an inch taller than Brees.

Allen can't hit the broad side of a barn. He's been missing routes on air at the senior bowl. No thanks.
I would love to take Mayfield, though.

Jones couldn't put two coherent sentences together on that show if his life depended on it. Very often, he'd just rehash what was said minutes prior. I didn't know he was going back and forth and didn't even live here in WNY.
Gone and forgotten.
I feel much the same way. He did get better, though. Still, half the time he would literally repeat what John Murphy just said.

Pretty sure they would be talking about sports, not politics.

Him and Murphy never have a good dynamic going. I don't think they liked each other very much.
Shouldn't be too hard to replace. For a football player, he didn't really seem to know a lot about X's and O's. I was hoping he would provide deeper insight.

Enough is enough. There's been lots of great Bills since that 90s stretch (who never won a ring) and you don't hear any of them "chiming in." Part of me hopes McD pulls a Jeff Fisher vs. Erik Dickerson move and says, "get out."
And when I start charging $2.99/month to read my posts, I expect yours to be the first PayPal account I see.
They can talk about whatever they want. Just like you. The media are the ones coming to them looking for quotes, afterall.
Nobody cares if you've had enough. Boo hoo.

I think we had better wait to see what happens in free agency before we start saying we have to do anything. A lot of those QB needy teams may have their guy from free agency. Whoever signs Cousins won't be drafting a QB high, at least.

Wow. I would love Ansah. Why would the Lions let him go?

Sorry I haven't posted much lately but have been tied up in a lot of high level business meetings recently so not much time to post.
High level business meetings? That doesn't even mean anything. Sounds like you are a little full of yourself.

I seriously could not care less about the size of their hands. If they can throw the ball, they can throw the ball.
What is the fear, that they will fumble more often? I'll take a couple more fumbles each year if a guy can throw the ball well.

Didn't he have some kind of family issue, which was why he was late?

I'd like to see the whole NFL move to helmets like these:
https://www.wired.com/2016/01/the-zero1-flexible-football-helmet-may-save-players-brains/
The flexibility of the material reduces the force much more effectively. If my kids ever want to play football, I'll definitely be getting them these.
All hard pads, helmets, braces, etc should be removed from the game and replaced with flexible, force absorbing materials.

Pretty funny video. Rich Eisen is a funny guy.

They should have kept Mularky. Gets to the playoffs and wins a game? Not good enough!!
Didn't he just walk away?

Not elite, but still a top 10 QB. What I like about him is he is 10 times better than any QB we have had for a decade or more. And he's available.
If we don't get him, though, we better go draft one high. Those are the two options I would be fine with (that I know of). I do not want Alex Smith, who we would have to trade for. He is a slightly better version of Tyrod.

Crazy how the world can produce such despicable people. It's just so foreign to me.
I know poverty has something to do with some of these guys and how they were raised, but still. I grew up in a poor home with a big family, but we all turned out alright. No murderers among us.

Interesting data. How is "adjusted completion %, all attempts" calculated? Shouldn't that be the same as their raw completion data, or what does it mean that it's so much higher for "all attempts" than "raw completion %"?
Please excuse stating the obvious, but if Tyrod throws over guys heads all the time or in places that require difficult catches our WR can't make, then that will be reflected in his completion percentages making it lower.
All QB stats reflect WR who make those circus catches. Witness Min. game.
It's my observation that our WR corps makes fewer of those "high degree of difficulty" haul-ins than most, but I have no data to back that, just an eyeball perception.
Tyrod has so few attempts that his stats are misleading at best. Most of his throws are dump offs.

Bradford would be a great bridge QB. Bradford wouldn't be required to do the things he had to do in Minnesota because we have Shady. The playaction game would be AWESOME because we'd have a QB who could make throws with accuracy and utilize the middle of the field better than Tyrod. Bradford wouldn't cause the Bills to "break the bank" acquiring him and still allow them to win while the drafted QB learns.
Say no to Bradford unless you want to be paying him to sit in the training room like every other franchise has done with him!
-
Well it's not your pick. Also there are countless threads about QB's.
-
He deserves it.
For those talking about negative yardage, that is 100% on the oline. I didn't see a single play this year with him taking negative yardage that was his fault.
6 minutes ago, Dadonkadonk said:Shady is the best player on the team. He will get old real soon. Pay the money now and take the cap hit now. Only Gaines will demand decent money. They are fine with the cap. Get rid of Demarco and Tolbert and get cheap and young behind Shady. Don't hurt the future by pushinig off the cap hit now. They will need the cash to keep Gaines this year and Benjamin, Hyde, and Poyer in future years.
Why Dimarco?

In general it is good indicator in NFL
Thanks for your opinion?

Yeah, one year out of decades of years really outs that assumption to bed.
Look at ALL the data, not just one cherry picked data point. Franchise QB's increase your chances at contending. There is no getting around that fact.
-
Completion percentage is not even a great metric for accuracy even in the NFL. Tyrod usually has good completion percentage because he only makes safe throws and dump offs, but nobody would claim he is an accurate QB. He throws over guys heads all the time, and puts the ball in a spot that requires WR's to often stop and reach back or make difficult catches.

Ultimately none of it matters that much. The Bills have plenty of space and can easily make more. Nothing they did is "gross mismanagement" of the cap. So get off your soap box.
