Wow. Good for him. I've always liked him and I hoped he could come to Buffalo, but I don't see it happening with other teams willing to throw so much at him.
He's made a truck load of money already getting franchised the past couple years.

Success of the GM is tied to the success of the team.
AND you could have ALL hits, but if your team doesn't have a QB, you'll get fired because you can't consistently win without a QB.
And I disagree with many of your "misses".

He wasn't that great before buffalo, and he was likely getting cut.
Edit- Or perhaps I shouldn't say cut, I don't think that would have saved them any money. But he wasn't going to be brought back as the 4th guy in Philly.
He was literally the best slot receiver in the league before coming to Buffalo. He led the league in yards and TD's from the slot.

Yep, he was very good before coming to Buffalo. I still hope we sign him and let him show what he can do, as long as we have a new QB. If not I don't really think it matters that much who our WR's are.

Matthews is not terrible. He is a quality WR without a guy to throw him the ball. And he was injured.
