Historically speaking, yes
Dang. I guess that means we need to wait until the 6th round to get a QB.

The 3 best Bills QBs of all time had names that all started with a J. So the best shot is with one of the Joshs
What happened to JP Losman?

Let's bring in Geno and break his jaw. That would be fun.
I kind of just assumed he was no longer in the league because, you know, he is terrible. But I guess I was wrong.

Name me a ROOKIE who helped a bridge QB. I'm waiting.

The Patriots are smarter than everyone
Are they smarter than the Eagles?

Yeah. They might double, no TRIPLE their wins!

In 2016, Yeezus (the OP) stated this same thing about Wentz and Goff lol. Said the bills would be a joke to move up and take either of them and neither are worth a top 5 pick. A solid quote "The bills do not need to be trading their future to pick top 3 in this draft. NO QB in this draft is worth a top 5 pick. They are all projects and hyped up b/c the QB class is mediocre at best. There is no Winston or Mariota in this draft." and

It seems you do this every year haha
I guess that means we should take Allen. I was on the fence before.

So its everyone's fault but his, because his job is to not stop the run?
Trying to understand. Is he not part to blame for the defense being so bad against the run especially right up the gut?
Didn't I say the entire defense was to blame? I did. Kyle is part of the defense. He is partly to blame.
Your comment put that blame squarely on his shoulders, where it doesn't belong.

He's a lunch pail kind of guy.

definitely well overpaid by KC.. For that kind of money I would expect Sammy to avg 100 catches a season
Or even just get 1000 yards.

Well to start, lets look at last years run defense.
You are blaming the entire run defense on him? You do realize that we need basically an entirely new front 7, right? The guys in the front 7 that are quality are not run stuffers (Hughes is a small speed rusher, Kyle is a small interior rusher, Milano is a coverage linebacker).
We need a huge interior lineman, more linebackers, and edge setting ends.
If there is a single thing that requires the entire defense to do effectively, it's defending the run.

He's due for an injury.

Seriously, becasue I think Kyles career is coming to an end and he is not affective anymore Im not a character guy.
Do you have anything besides guesses to back up your statements?

No he's not. His teams have gone 15-15 in games he started. https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/M/MoorMa01.htm
2017 he was pretty bad. More INT's than TD's and no wins.

Called this a while ago, like I called Sherman to SF before he was even cut. Now lets see if my third prediction is correct too where I said I think Watkins lands in SF.
Yeah, all my predictions are right too. I swear.

Well you only included the negatives. Of course he looks bad from that description. But if you include the positives he looks much better.
-
It was a good story. I'd bring him in for camp and sign him to the practice squad. No telling if he might get good once he learns the game. He has the measurables.

Dude, we already have Glenn's replacement on the roster.
And if Hughes is sent out as well, it's not like he has been piling up the sacks lately, is it? We've had no pass rush, which is his job.

He’s not that bad. But with Moor as starter you can’t expect better than 8 wins. Teddy Marchibroda once said this about backup QB’s:
”They’ll win you 3 games and then they’ll lose you 3 games.”
That is Matt Moore in a nutshell. Of course signing Moore 100% ensures the team is all in on a drafting a QB high.
He's more like a "Win you 1 game and then lose you 5 games" kind of QB.

When is the last time we've had this many picks? We can literally load up and build a powerhouse. Trading that away for nothing, why do it? I could see moving up 8-10 spots because that would not put a dent in our capital, but moving in the top 10 like some want is irresponsible.
You can't have a powerhouse without a QB.
Get the QB. Then things will start working.
-
I'm happy with it. I'd rather get front 7 or WR than a Center, though, considering we already have Groy on the roster.

Every QB gets picked apart to death these days. I predict that there will never be a draft again where there is a consensus "generational talent". Not because QB's aren't as good, but because we can pick apart their faults and strengths unlike ever before.
Goff and Wentz weren't viewed as generational guys. They were picked apart to death, just like every other class. Wentz looks like a top 5 QB now and Goff is looking pretty good too.
The last "generational talent" draft was Luck and RGIII, right? RGIII flamed out quickly and Luck, despite having some promising signs, has never quite been what we expected either.
So no. I disagree. It is ALWAYS a guessing game in the draft. You simply don't know if there are generational guys or not. Guessing beforehand doesn't make a difference.

I did think the Eagles traded a lot, but I liked Went so I understood why. I remember thinking the Rams were dumb for not taking Wentz, but it seems to be working out for them too.
I'd like to see how things turn out for the Bears, who traded a lot to get Trubisky. I thought they were dumb to do it.

Good post. I agree with it all. This team absolutely has holes, but we had holes last year and McDermott made it work. We went in to every game knowing that we had the potential to win it, even though we lacked talent across the board.
Get the QB, put some Band-Aids on the rest of the holes for a season. You can make it work. Continue to upgrade when you see an opportunity and next year draft more talent.
Slowly we'll see this team get better and better as we bring in more talent and guys that fit the schemes and culture.
Now, if the QB we do take doesn't pan out it will be another roller coaster.

That is such a well written letter. Bravo. So accurate, so right and so wrong at the same time is Taylor.
I do wish the best for Tyrod Taylor.. I think he will have a very long career as a very good backup that will win you 50% of the games like backups do.
Which means he'll always be a starter, because many teams in the league don't have a QB good enough to win 50% of their games.
Good luck to him. It was an interesting few years. I totally supported him until around mid season last year when I realized we have seen everything there is to see from Tyrod. I'm glad we get to turn the chapter and make real efforts at upgrading the position.
This is what the Bills QB Board looks like imo
